AFC Wimbledon’s Managing Director, Danny Macklin joins the SNL team to discuss his 100 days at the club and takes live questions from the viewers.
Stu was joined by Aaron, Rob, Spike and Tom L to discuss the Xmas football and look back at 2022 with our Player of 2022, Goal of 2022, Moment of 2022 and finally our Best XI of 2022.
The 9yrsTV team discuss the 1-1 draw against Wycombe. The draw keeps us in with a mathematical chance of League One survival and we took live questions from fans about their confidence will will do it.
What have Nick and Stu made of our first two games under Mark Bowen? We're talking team selection, formations, tactics (is 'low-block' a Brentism?), and individual responsibility. We also look ahead to Saturday's game, and Nick makes quite the prognostication.
Robbo out, Bowen in. What have Nick and Stu made of it all? There are questions to be asked of how our governance structure works following another managerial sacking - but there are also the positives that one Mark can bring, and the other Mark has already bought, to be discussed.
Stuart is joined by George Jones & Spike Godding this week.Just as we were about to press record for the podcast, the club released its board update and hey presto, that was our discussion sorted for the evening.
Nick and Stu are joined by Mark Engelbretson to discuss where the club is at the moment. Mark stood for election to the Dons Trust Board in 2021, and shared his views on how the club has gone about the season - on and off the pitch.
Nick and Stu return to talk through a third win in a row! What went well against Wycombe, and what do we need to learn from what didn't go so well? We look at squad options and whether we are able to change things as and when we need to. We also have a chat around the latest Dons Trust statement, and what it is actually telling us. Alongside that, we have all the usual: a look around the third tier, a preview of the trip to Blackpool, and a fun round of ROFHOG.

EP376: BREAK THE SILENCE

Ian Robinson speak to Nick and Stu about his resignation from the Dons Trust Board. Ian explains his reasons behind stepping down, and some of his frustrations during his time in post. Either side of that, we talk all the usual: Nick has an expected rant about 12.30 kick-offs; we review the win at Doncaster; cast an eye over events in the third tier; preview the game with Wycombe; and play a classic game of ROFHOG, bringing back a former 9yrs challenge …
A lot of Trust issues to discuss this week, as election season for the DTB gets underway amidst resignations and recriminations. Nick and Stu try and clear up the mess and confusion, looking at what has happened, what needs to happen, and whether the fan ownership model is the best way forward. There's also a win over Rotherham to review, a trip to Doncaster to preview, and a fun game of ROFHOG to test your geography knowledge. A fun show as always with plenty of food for thought!
Nick and Stu return to pick the bones out of the 3-0 defeat at Bolton, and the two red cards that made life a little harder for us on the day and for the next couple of weeks. It's not all bad news though! I mean it's not great news either, but there's a Season Ticket survey to review, and a Fair Game Index report that sheds some light on the difficulties clubs are facing financially in this world of insane salaries. ROFHOG and a look ahead to the visit of Rotherham round-off another fun show! Sorry for going long, again - although we're Wimbledon, and going long should never be considered a bad thing.
Nick and Stu find themselves in the unusual position of talking about the team conceding goals this week. What has changed over the past fortnight that has seen us become far more open, with chances galore at either end? We take an in-depth look at the defeat at Bradford, before a slightly less in-depth gander at the B-Team Trophy humbling, and what it told us about squad depth this season. Alongside this, we take a trip around the third tier, and Stu unveils some very telling stats from across the division. We look ahead to the trip to Bolton on the weekend, and play a fun version of ROFHOG. No touching!

EP372: ROLL OF THE DICE

A cracking win over Barnsley followed up by a cup exit Reading: Nick and Stu discuss whether we were right to make as many changes for the latter as we did, and what the ramifications of the defeat will be - on and off the pitch. But none of this should overshadow the victory in the league, and the number of positives that came from it and the start of the season as a whole. We touch on other items of note around Plough Lane, look around the third tier, and play a fun game of ROFHOG amongst all the usual talking points. We also have another BIG STAT to perhaps shock you ...

Two excellent performances to discuss this week: a very enjoyable day out at Reading, and a fine, if ultimately fruitless, display against Cardiff at Plough Lane. What tactical intricacies did Nick and Stu spot, and what does it suggest for forthcoming fixtures? There's a new signing to talk about too, alongside the usual look around the third tier. ROFHOG returns, but there is a BRAND NEW FEATURE to add to the show - and Nick will blow your mind with a stat that seems to have gone unnoticed ... A fun show as always!
Chris Draper joins the show this week to discuss our first league win of the season, and progress in the League Cup. He shoots the breeze with Nick about team selection, the key moments from both games, and what it tells us about the coming month. The brothers also have a look around the third tier, preview the league clash with Reading this weekend, and play a new round of ROFHOG. They're in  celebratory mood after the super exciting League Cup draw as well! A really fun show!
An opening day defeat, but one that gave us all plenty of encouragement. Nick and Stu take a deep dive into Friday night's 1-0 loss at Luton, with a look at shape and team selection and what they might mean for forthcoming fixtures. We also glance around the first set of fixtures in the third tier, preview the visit of Lincoln on the weekend, and play possibly the trickiest version of Richard Osman Foyo's House of Games there ever could be. A really fun show!

EP368: PEOPLE COME AND GO

2025-07-3101:03:04

We're back! The new season is upon us, and Nick and Stu return to look ahead to what we can expect from the 2025-26 campaign. We discuss changes to the squad, the runners and riders in League One, what is likely to happen at Luton, and whether negativity around the fanbase is justified. We also give our takes on the new kits, and the England Women's team. There's also - of course! - a brand new game for Stu to sink his teeth into, but for how long, we're not sure ...
We are going up say we are going up! Nick and Stu review a great day - if not a great game - at Wembley, including all the key moments, battles, and managerial decisions. We talk about the stadium, atmosphere, and post-match celebrations, as well as what life must have been like in the Warsaw end. Alongside all that, we look at the key moments of the season, review our retained and released list, and play a final ever game of MFWAJJOTM. There's also a few thank yous to round-off a great year.

Que Sera, Sera ... it's the 9yrs Wembley preview show! Nick and Stu discuss our road to the play-off final, and how much we are looking forward to the day. Clearly hyper, we take a circuitous route through many varied topics, from CCL memories to Portuguese women's football, but we manage to stay on track to comment on Notts County, Warsaw, and Josh Neufville, as well as have another classic MFWAJJOTM.
