ARE WOMEN EXEMPT FROM THE CONSEQUENCES OF PROVOKING MEN TO VIOLENCE? Every 9 seconds in the US a woman is assaulted or beaten.Around the world, at least one in every three women has been beaten, coerced into sex or otherwise abused during her lifetime. Most often, the abuser is a member of her own family.Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women—more than car accidents, muggings, and rapes combined. Domestic violence is the willful intimidation, physical assault, battery, sexual assault, and/or other abusive behavior perpetrated by an intimate partner against another. It is an epidemic affecting individuals in every community, regardless of age, economic status, race, religion, nationality or educational background. Some MAY disagree, but Ray Rice & Janay both need intensive counseling for anger management.  Rice did not have to lose his job! DO NOT COUNT AMERICA OUT! Amidst the mounting criticism, President Barack Obama announced that he will explain to the American people and Congress his plan for offensive actions against Islamic State militants that are seemingly becoming a threat to the United States. Ironically, President Obama will make a speech on Wednesday, September 10 just one day before the historical 9/11, 2001 attack on America, when al Qaeda militants flew hijacked planes into the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon, killing almost 3,000 people. The President's speech will "describe what our game plans [are] going to be".  He plans to meet congressional leaders on Tuesday to seek their support for his strategy to halt the militant Islamist group, which controls parts of Syria and Iraq. Far too many Americans, especially conservative media groups, are criticizing the President, claiming that he "campaigned on getting U.S. troops out of Iraq, but has struggled to articulate how he wants to address Islamic State"  Do not count America out!
