A House Divided

Happy New Year! Nick and Matt return for a special one-off episode of A House Divided. The guys first explain where the heck they've been and then dive into the best and worst of 2021. Politics, pop culture, 2022 predictions, and a little palace intrigue (if you call a 2-bedroom apartment without a thermostat a palace) are in order.  Thanks to everyone who has made 2021 a little more bearable, including our guests and esteemed listeners.

The pandemic is FINALLY winding to a close. Masks are coming off, shots are going in arms, and Nick is going back to baseball games. Nature is healing. Listen to hear how Matt, Nick, and Ben would grade the American people, Joe Biden, Dr. Fauci, and others' responses to the pandemic. Stick around for the most cringe-inducing song you will hear for some time.  On a side note - Zoom fatigue is a real thing. We hope to get back to a normal upload schedule soon.

Resident flower child, Izzy Agricola, joins Nick and Matt to discuss the recent pushes for gun control in the wake of two mass shootings in Georgia and Colorado.

What the heck is populism? Is it worth anything as an ideology? A governing strategy? Ben Holden joins Matt and Nick to dive into the emerging fracture between the "New Right" and the established conservative order. Andy brings the topic this week with a discussion on intellectual property. Nick also brings up COVID vaccines and Matt talks about "The Crown" again.
