This week, Da7e and Neil are stepping very carefully into the secure lab to feed the specimens as the first season of Alien: Earth continues to escalate.
In The Calm [04:58], they consider which human characters they are still rooting for, question whether Wendy can actually communicate with the Xenomorph, and begin to wonder what kinds of safeguards are built into Kirsh's programming.
Then in The Storm [01:13:14], your faithful hosts make their predictions for what will be the big showdowns of the final two episodes and check-in with their ongoing theories about where and when a Predator easter egg might appear.

In The Calm [06:16], they dig into Alien: Earth's big flashback episode as director Noah Hawley delivers his own Alien mini-movie about the plight of the USCSS Maginot. They question whether 65 years of one's life is worth a quarter share, worry about the workplace safety practices of Weyland-Yutani scientists, and present several wild theories about Morrow's motivations.
Then in The Storm [01:17:50], your faithful hosts break down the trailer for episode 6, "The Wasp," before considering the possible endgame for Wendy's character and the Alien comic that could serve as inspiration for a wild twist.

This week, Da7e and Neil are maintaining a safe distance as things on Neverland island grow increasingly unsafe for organic lifeforms.
In The Calm [07:50], they consider which characters might be primed to join Team Xenomorph as the Prodigy corporation abuses its power, revisit the early 2000s sensation that was The Snuggie, and attempt to get inside the mind of Timothy Olyphant's Kirsh.
Then in The Storm [01:19:30], they break down the teaser for next week's Noah Hawley-directed flashback episode. Plus, Da7e adds some important context about LV-426 and its neighboring moons.

This week, Da7e and Neil are trapped in a shipping container with a Xenomorph as Alien: Earth continues its barrage of world-building.
In The Calm [07:38], they attempt to draw more parallels to J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, discuss the lore surrounding the Prodigy corporation, and advocate for workers' rights like... [checks notes] not giving a corporation the power to remove your body parts without your consent.
Then, in The Storm [01:23:16], they dig into the teaser for episode 4 and become immediately concerned for the safety of at least one Lost Boy. And they revisit the question of whether there's going to be any Predator stuff in this show.

In The Calm [05:34], they break down the show's closing music choices, deploy a polygon probe to assess the VFX, learn about animal hearing frequency ranges, and much more.
Then, in The Storm [01:23:44], they unpack the "Coming Up This Season" trailer to get a sense of how the season will be paced and predict whether or not we'll meet a Yautja along the way.

They then consider some of the big questions they'd like to see answered about Xenomorphs, synthetic humanoids, space-faring cats, and much more in The Calm [04:58] before diving into some light spoiler territory in The Storm [42:12].
Next week, Alien: Earth kicks off with a two-episode season premiere on Tuesday, August 12th, on FX and Hulu. New pods will drop on Wednesday afternoons!

It's A STORM OF SPOILERS: A STAR WARS SPECIAL!
This week, Dave and Neil take a moment to think about how George Lucas' Star Wars trilogies and the content produced by Disney after its acquisition are in discussion with the American political climate of the 1970s, 80s, 2000s, and mid-2010s. They end by speculating on what Star Wars character aligns with their political journeys and wondering if Grogu has any politics.

love this podcast it my favorite podcast I ever heard so far
love the podcast but miss the guests
way, way, wayyyyy too much laughing/talking commentary by Joanna. No need to be super serious, but tighten it up, woman!
Yeah, uh, if you all want to keep talking about Game of Thrones, then do it in it's own episode. Besides, you didn't talk about it enough the whole time it was running? I was so excited to see this podcast, and I literally ended up unsubscribing because it felt like it was hardly focused on Lost at all. The constant references & discussions regarding GOT honestly got annoying.
great
Another episode 9, or a typo?😅
I'm here for the verbal references to GIFs. Did not disappoint.
Quote of this episode (from a new listener): "No, I love Neil like a brother... You know, that is NOT incestuous... And I would never make him ride my murder pets." God bless America, that is phenomenal. I'm way too late to this game.
love its it
