(S6E10) GD Welcomes.... Louis "Randy Ran" Wilkerson to A Touch of Grace Date: Friday, October 16, 2015 @ 2P/PST : 5P/EST Call Into Show: (347) 989-8346 On the afternoon of Friday 10/16 @ 2PM, GD has a candid discussion with recovering addict/author Louis Randy Ran Wilkenson. Wilkenson's life before, during, and after addiction is a tale of dignity lost and a life redeemed by a series of events that led up to a climax where one path led to death, the other recovery. It will be an hour of tears and triumph, that will inspire someone lost in the darkness of the incomprehensible demoralizatiom of active addiction. His Reality: After the train passed, a 35 year collection of memories were gone. Had he arrived a few seconds early he would have beat the freight train and saved the storage that held three decades of sport's trophies, pictures, music, and other close to the heart sentimentals that held so much meaning and personal value. If only that damn train came of few seconds later he could've bought a little more time, but he had more on the line than those things. His life was dangling by a thread, and if he didn't change his life he'd never live to create new memories. That damn train.

It was New Year’s Day, 2008. “Is this how I’m going to leave?” he wondered. “Doing something I love, away from my family?” In the twilight of a professional basketball career, at 34 and in peak physical condition, the body he relied on to earn a living was giving way to a stroke. Actor - Troy Bland from Macon, GA Date: Monday May 18th, 2015 @ 2P/PST : 5P/EST Call Into Show: (347) 989-8346 More About Troy: Journey of an Emerging Actor His very first acting experience came at the age of 15. He was in his neighborhood production of, 'The Wiz', where he also co-directed, choreographed, did the set designs, and played as the Tin Man. A production that many from the old neighborhood still remember to this day with fondness. Troy began his theater studies at City College of New York, but because of his "spiritual" calling and wanting to do something in service to people, decided to relocate to Macon, GA. where he would later become an ordained minister. This turned out to be a great move for Troy because Atlanta, being a short distance from Macon, was itself a city emerging as the South's new entertainment mecca. The city was attracting filmmakers because of the great weather conditions and cheaper budget costs to make films. Once settled in Macon, Troy began honing his acting skills on stage in the production of, "Oh Lord, Not My Mother?" at the historic Douglas Theater.
