I sat down with Mima aka Pastor Dupe Adefala to discuss the challenge she faced as a woman being the lead pastor of a church. This weekend I shared a memory from my teenage years with Mima as we got ready to celebrate the 20 year anniversary of Word Fountain Christian Ministries. A prominent man of God refused to be a covering for her and the team when they were going to start the church. He said it was because she was a woman. My mum returned to the car with tears in her eyes. That day is etched in my memory. As I shared, Mima said she hadn't realised I was in the car. She was surprised I remembered. What my mum did with that rejection has more impact than the actual rejection. Assured what she was doing was the will of God, she went on to obey the Lord and not think the rejection of a man she respected was the same as the rejection of God. Her and the team went on, not to prove anything to the man but in obedience to God. The journey hasn’t been without its challenges. It hasn’t been perfect but it has been fruitful to the glory of God. Many have been reconciled back to the Father. Many lives impacted and people have been raised and are being raised. What is it people have told you not to do, said you can't or your shouldn't but you know it's God. God's endorsement is all you need. When Jesus says yes, you better not let man's no stop you. Be encouraged.
God placed Adam in the garden of Eden and told him to name what he saw. As you are going into the new year, the word of God is that you should name your year. What do you want to see in every area of your life, from your finances, career, family, relationships and more? Whatever you want to see, name it. Whatever you name it will determine how you live and respond to it. If you wait for life to happen to you, you will always love by chance not by faith. Chance does not have assurance, faith does! The year is a blank canvas for you told paint on with the word of God, and the visions He gives you. Do so boldly! Happy New Year in advance, Wonu
As the year draws to an end, gain momentum to power through the next year. Remember, it is a marathon, not a sprint. Listen to the message I shared at Salem South London's last service of the year. I pray you are blessed.

Just because you have grace does not mean you don’t labour. In this episode, I explain the importance of grace and labour. Ability not utilised remains dormant, so we must labour. Grace to labour more is available for you. Grace and peace, Wonu
Sometimes quitting can be tempting. Especially when pain comes in the middle of the journey, our commitment will be tested. And when there is a lack of commitment, we partner with the enemy to abort the mission and keeps us from the promise. In this episode, I look at the book of Ruth and the lessons on commitment we can learn from her story, with some wonderful ladies I am privileged to mentor. Featuring an unforgettable real life story! Grace and peace, Wonu
Sometimes, the the waiting can be tiring. As we prepare for what's next, we will need strength to conceive. Are you fulfilling your potential? No I'm not asking if you are doing good? I asked if you were fulfulling your potential. In this episode, I share with you something my mum said to me about being average. Remember, God wants you to prosper, He does! Your prosperity isn't a sin but laziness will hinder you if you don't break past your flesh. Please listen and share.
Someone asked "How do I stop myself from taking glory?" I was about to give the steps I personally take to keep my heart humble before God but before I could speak the Holy Spirit said "Why are are my people afraid of glory?"
