1st Hour by soulDUB [ABSTRACTIONS MUSIC] 2nd Hour GUESTMIX by Sean McCabe [Good Vibrations, UK Bristol] Bristol-based producer Sean McCabe has had plenty of time to develop his own sound. He released his first tracks in 2003 at the tender age of 17 and has spent the last decade fine-tuning a trademark sound that is effortlessly soulful. McCabe made his name in house, developing a long-running relationship with legendary US garage label King Street Sounds and remixing the likes of Dennis Ferrer, Evelyn Champagne King, Carolyn Harding, Blaze, and Roland Clark. Since then, he’s amassed an impressive discography of nearly 100 releases, delivering inspired reworks for labels like Local Talk, Strictly Rhythm, Vega Records, Tribe, and Quantize – plus an original solo album for Z Records. A quick listen to any of his productions or one of his superb DJ sets will confirm this attractive, emotion-rich aesthetic. While rooted in house, his sound regularly takes on flavours of disco, boogie, Afro, deeper grooves, proto-house, ‘90s garage-house dubs and much more besides. As an artist, his 2014 debut album entitled ‘It’s Time’ on Z Records displays his musical range and versatile quality production skills. The album hit Number 1 on Traxsource in its first week and has received support from the likes of Solar Radio, Mi-Soul, Kiss FM, and Jazz FM. As a DJ, he forged a reputation at the legendary Southport Weekender, where he performed regularly. Anyone who can impress the notoriously knowledgeable Southport Weekender crowd must be doing something right. Sean has also travelled the world, playing as far afield as Asia and South Africa, as well as regular appearances across Europe and the UK. Refreshingly, he seems to have no particular aspirations to play in gargantuan clubs, and admits to preferring gigs in small, intimate venues, where he can make a connection with the crowd. As a producer, McCabe is constantly learning and evolving, taking his sound in different directions. He admits to a love of vintage synthesizers – picked up from listening to classic New York boogie and ‘80s soul. In 2016, Sean continued his musical journey by launching ‘Good Vibrations Music’ record label – a natural evolution of his renowned Good Vibrations events in Bristol. With a successful album under his belt, his own record label and notable collaborations with the likes of Karizma, Lay-Far, and Groove Assassin, his reputation for bringing quality soulful dance music to the masses continues to rise.

Randy Peterson Bio: Randy Peterson is a DJ/Producer, Radio Presenter/Promoter from London , England. A house music lover from the tender age of 15, after being Introduced to the music by his older brother. Grew up through the UK rave scene in the late 80's and fell In love with not just the music, but the rave / club scene as a whole, He was influenced to DJ after hearing DJs such as Ricky Morrison, Phil Asher, CJ Mackintosh, Frankie Foncett, Rob Acteson, Rhythm Doctor, Eddie Richards, Bobbi & Steve, Kid Batchleor & Emix, to name a few. Randy's had the pleasure of djing at events all over the UK and Europe regularly djing at events such as Groove Odyssey, Mi Casa, Ceremony Festival, 51st State Festival, Moondance Festival, Simply Salacious, Makin Moves, Concious Sounds, ADE Festival Amsterdam, Boxed Kleva, and many more. He also, run's his own club promotion known as “Gotta Have House” with music his partner MC Emix, and has weekly radio show on HOUSE FM, playing the best in Deep & Soulful House Music, past, present and future. At present Randy is currently working on music productions, he has a début release out on Rhemi Music called “Lets Go” which has received great support and feedback. 1st Hour Mark Ashby (ABSTRACTIONS MUSIC resident DJ) & 2nd Hour GUESTMIX by Beat Rivals (MI-HOUSE Radio UK) BEAT RIVALS BIO: Production and DJ duo Beat Rivals, John and Kevin are fast becoming heavyweights in the Soulful House arena with their consistent releases, London based production duo Beat Rivals have had release successes across numerous labels. Constantly evolving, the duo draws upon their influences of Drum and Bass, Funk, Garage, House, Jazz, Jungle, Reggae, Soul and Techno, to create contemporary music with a variety of different flavours. This innovative duo is destined for success with their exciting and refreshing approach to music production. South Londoner John grew up in an eclectic music-loving family. Catching the production bug as a teenager led to a string of releases on several underground labels. Even on these early releases his laidback demeanour was noticeable Hailing from East London Kevin started producing music as a teenager whilst gaining recognition as a DJ and building a following that enabled him to DJ all over England including a residency in London’s West End. Introduced by a mutual friend in the early 90’s the pair discovered they shared a common passion for music. It was not until they became mentored by Karl “Tuff Enuf” Brown (Double Trouble, Tuff Jam) at his “Groove Skool” that the collaborations started with each drawing on their individual skill and influences and using their friendly rivalry to push each other. In 2011 the duo formed Rival Beat Records. Since then the duo has gone on to work with some of the finest vocalists and musicians in the scene including Angie Brown, Lifford, Natasha Watts, Tasha LaRae, Vanessa Freeman, Ernie McKone, Gene Perez, Michele Chiavarini, Mike Patto, Ernie McKone as well as featuring releases form Opolopo, Sean McCabe and DJ Spen. Both have a love for DJing and good music and aim to share that on their weekly Mi-House Radio show “Keeping It Soulful”.
