Vaccines are very important. They are an essential part of preventive medicine and patient care. Today, we talk about the residents and physicians' approach to help patients get the necessary vaccines and the quality improvement projects by ACP to improve the rates of vaccines. We have attended the annual ACP Resident & Medical Student Day at UIC, part of the Northern Illinois Chapter meetings every year. We met with Dr. Jayal Metha, a third-year Internal Medicine resident at Franciscan Health, as part of the organizing team during this conference, and we spoke about organizing these kinds of events, and the value-added by ACP. We also had the pleasure to speak with Dr. Shikha Jain from Rush University, who was part of the Social Media in Medicine panel alongside Dr. Anwar Jebran, and Dr. Armand Krikorian from Advocate Christ. We spoke about her activities in social media, communication and women empowerment. We also spoke with Mr. Jeff Burgess, from MassMutual, who sponsored the event, and we spoke about the financial aspect of medicine, and how to prepare for your future as a doctor and resident. Music: Philip Mathew.  
Transition is always tough, especially during your residency training. Transitioning from being a medical student to an intern, or from an intern to a senior resident and finally from a senior resident to chief resident or attending. It is always a tough & challenging time. An emotional interview with Dr. Tokunboh Olaosebikan (Tokes), Chief Resident at Mercy Hospital, we talked about the tragic event at Mercy Hospital in November 2018 that led to the death of 3 individuals "Officer Jimenez, Dr. Tamara O'Neal & pharmacy resident Dayna Less". What happened from the residents' perspective, and what are the measures Mercy & other hospitals should take to prevent such incidents. After the tragic event at Mercy Hospital in November 2018 that led to the death of 3 individuals "Officer Jimenez, Dr. Tamara O'Neal & pharmacy resident Dayna Less", the ACP released a position paper titled "Reducing Firearm Injuries and Deaths in the United States: A Position Paper From the American College of Physicians". Burnout is an important subject between doctors and internists, it is a big problem and we need to shed the light on it. We sat with Dr. Sean Greenhalgh, an assistant professor, and an internist at Loyola Hospital and an advocate for physician wellness and an expert on this subject.
