ADHD Mornings - Why Structure Changes Everything This is an earlier episode of the Corporate to Calm podcast but it’s more relevant than ever. Because if you have ADHD, mornings can feel like 🌻Snooze-button shame 🌻Instant overwhelm 🌻Scrolling before thinking 🌻Starting behind before the day even begins For years, I thought I just “wasn’t a morning person.” The truth? I didn’t have a system that worked for my ADHD brain. In this episode, we talk about ✨ Why mornings are powerful for ADHD entrepreneurs ✨ How small habits create calm (not pressure) ✨ Using accountability to get moving ✨ Connecting to your “why” before the world gets loud ✨ How hormones impact focus, energy & creativity ✨ Working with your cycle & energy not against it Because structure in the morning isn’t about discipline. It’s about protecting your energy. When your morning is intentional  - You reduce decision fatigue.  - You regulate your nervous system.  - You create clarity before chaos. And that changes your entire day. The 5 Habit Challenge - Click Below https://thehabitboss.com/the-tiny-habits-challenge I introduce the 5 Habit Challenge simple, repeatable habits designed to create calm, focused mornings without perfection or pressure. Slow. Sustainable. ADHD-friendly. If your mornings feel chaotic, this is your reset. 🎙️ ADHD IS… formerly Corporate to Calm 🎧 Listen now on all platforms ⬇️ LINKS & RESOURCES My ADHD Habit Tracker. Welcome to ADHD IS… The podcast where we explore what ADHD really looks like in real life, not the filtered version. In this episode, I talk about • ADHD and entrepreneurship • Why habits and systems are survival tools (not restrictions) • Falling off routines — and starting again • Supporting women in business • Hyperfixation (TV shows, music, dopamine loops) • Using music to regulate your nervous system • Raising a child with ADHD • Building a business that aligns with your values As an ADHD mentor for entrepreneurs, I help neurodivergent business owners create systems that support creativity instead of stifling it. Because the truth is, structure can create freedom when it works with your brain. We also get honest about comparison, jealousy, copying in business and why no one can ever replicate you even in the age of AI. This is a stream-of-consciousness, real-talk episode about managing an ADHD brain while building a life and business that feels good. ADHD is different for everyone. In this first episode of the ADHD IS… podcast (yes formerly the Corporate to Calm podcast) All C to C episodes are available across your preferred platforms. In this ADHD Podcast I’m sharing my real, unfiltered experience of living with ADHD as a late-diagnosed woman, ADHD mentor, business owner and parent.   We talk about 🌻What ADHD actually is (and what it isn’t) 🌻Limerence which intense infatuation, obsession & dopamine 🌻Hyperfixation, Heated Rivalry is not going anywhere  🌻ADHD, addiction & emotional regulation 🌻Why letting go is one of the most powerful ADHD habits 🌻Music, TV shows & media as survival tools 🌻Why guilt, shame & “normal” need to go   I was diagnosed at 44, I’m medicated and I’m done pretending ADHD is either a curse or a gift. It’s just real life and this podcast is about understanding it, not romanticising it.   This episode is stream-of-consciousness, honest, sometimes messy and let's face it very ADHD. If you are neurodivergent or creative entrepreneur, an ADHD parent or simply like stuff, there's something for you here.   From the show 1. In Limerence by Jabob Alon (Graham Norton reference) 2. This episode may have been recorded earlier in the life of the podcast, but the habits inside it are ones I still come back to especially as someone running a business with ADHD. Here we explore simple, repeatable habits that support visibility, resilience and growth without burnout, particularly helpful if you struggle with consistency, overthinking or decision fatigue. In this episode, we cover 1️⃣ The “Pick Me” List a habit for visibility A weekly habit of proactive outreach that removes pressure and overthinking. Instead of waiting to be discovered, you intentionally build connections by reaching out podcasts, collaborations, events or opportunities in a way that works with an ADHD brain. 2️⃣ Nurturing your own digital real estate Your newsletter and website are spaces you own no algorithms, no noise. We talk about why these platforms matter, how to maintain them in small, manageable chunks and how one hour a week can compound into long-term business stability. 3️⃣ Social media habits that don’t drain you Rather than trying to do everything, this episode encourages choosing platforms that suit you. Repurposing content, keeping things simple, and trusting that repetition is not failure it’s consistency. This conversation sits at the intersection of habits, ADHD, business and energy focusing on systems that support you, not systems you have to force yourself into. 🎙️ ADHD IS… formerly Corporate to Calm If you’re building a business with ADHD and want calmer, more sustainable ways to show up  this episode is still very relevant.   ⬇️ LINKS & RESOURCES My ADHD Habit Tracker. Sobriety & Self-Trust in Entrepreneurship | Rebuilding From the Inside Out This is an earlier episode of the Corporate to Calm Podcast and the message is even more powerful now. It can be so easy to lose yourself in • Corporate pressure • Toxic productivity • Masking • Performing instead of living • Chasing dopamine instead of peace In this conversation, I sit down with Amy Kiernan entrepreneur, founder, and sober trailblazer. We talk about what happens when you stop outsourcing your worth and start rebuilding self-trust. We explore ✨ Why sobriety can sharpen clarity for Entrepreneurial brains ✨ The difference between ambition and toxic productivity ✨ How corporate environments can erode self-trust ✨ Surrender vs control (especially when your nervous system loves chaos) ✨ Slowing down as a power move ✨ Building businesses that align with your wellbeing Amy shares how embracing authenticity, not perfection helped her leave a high-profile corporate career and build a wellness-led business rooted in intention. And here’s the ADHD piece: So many high-achieving neurodivergent women overcompensate. We overwork. We overthink. We override our intuition. The Habit Path isn’t about doing more. It’s about regulating your nervous system, building sustainable habits and creating structure that supports your brain, not burns it out. Sobriety. Self-trust. Systems. Habits & Money | Why Budgeting Feels So Emotional This is an earlier episode of the Corporate to Calm Podcast but if you’re an ADHD entrepreneur trying to build calm, it’s more relevant than ever. Because money isn’t just numbers. For ADHD brains, it’s often • Avoidance • Impulse spending (hello dopamine) • Shame • “I’ll deal with it later” • All-or-nothing thinking In this powerful conversation, I sit down with financial wellness expert Santis O’Garro, founder of The Budget Mindset Club, to talk about the habits behind financial empowerment. And the truth? You can’t build a calm business without building calm around money. We explore ✨ “To be honest about money, you have to be honest with yourself.” ✨ The emotion behind spending (especially for neurodivergent brains) ✨ Why budgeting can feel lonely and how to make it sustainable ✨ Writing your debt down (and why that’s confronting but freeing) ✨ Santis’s journey clearing €15k+ of debt in under a year ✨ Her 4 Families Method ✨ Living and building with ADHD Here’s what I love most about this episode Budgeting isn’t restriction. It’s regulation. It’s a habit. A system. A way of reducing decision fatigue. When you build financial systems that work with your ADHD not against it you create More safety. More clarity. More choice. And that’s the foundation of The Calm Business Method. If money feels heavy, chaotic, or avoided. Emotional Regulation & Safe Spaces at Work This is an earlier episode of the Corporate to Calm Podcast but the conversation feels even more important now. In so many instances work doesn’t just drain your time, it drains your nervous system. Masking. Overthinking. People-pleasing. Conflict sensitivity. Emotional dysregulation. In this episode we explore something we don’t talk about enough in business Love as a value. Emotional safety as strategy. Connection as leadership. I’m joined by Chartered Psychologist Niamh Hannan, who shares her work around emotional connection in the workplace and why people are entitled to a safe space at work. And here’s the ADHD layer When you have a busy brain, emotional safety isn’t a luxury. It’s a necessity. We talk about ✨ Creating psychologically safe workplaces ✨ Conflict resolution through emotional connection ✨ Rebuilding trust at work ✨ Why meditation becomes non-negotiable for busy brains ✨ Leading without losing yourself “If you have a busy brain, you need meditation.” That line hits differently when you understand ADHD. Meditation isn’t about perfection. It’s about regulation. It’s a habit that creates space between stimulus and reaction. And that space? That’s where calm leadership lives. The Habit Path isn’t just productivity. It’s nervous system safety. It’s emotional intelligence. It’s structure that protects your brain. ADHD & Alcohol | When “Fun” Is Actually Dysregulation This is an earlier episode of The Corporate to Calm Podcast and if you’re ADHD, sensitive or building a calm life, this conversation hits differently now. Because for many neurodivergent women, alcohol isn’t just social. It’s • Nervous system relief • Masking support • Dopamine on demand • A way to quiet the noise • A way to belong And then… the crash. The shame. The overstimulation. The emotional hangover that lasts longer than the physical one. In this episode, I sit down with Alcohol-Free Mentor Olivia Farrelly to talk about untangling from alcohol culture and what happens when you choose clarity instead. Olivia shares the moment everything shifted: “I couldn’t exist with hungover me anymore. I couldn’t bear being so mean to me.” That line lands hard when you understand ADHD self-criticism. We explore ✨ Why alcohol and highly sensitive / ADHD brains don’t mix ✨ The link between dopamine, impulsivity & drinking ✨ Using your words to rewrite your story ✨ Removing alcohol as a habit shift, not a punishment ✨ The growth that happens when you regulate instead of numb ✨ Choosing peace over performance Here’s the Habit Path truth Sobriety isn’t restriction. It’s nervous system regulation. It’s self-trust. It’s clarity. For ADHD entrepreneurs especially, removing alcohol can mean Better executive function. Better emotional regulation. Better boundaries. Better mornings. I’m almost four years into my sober journey and I echo this “Giving up alcohol is one of the greatest achievements of my life.” If you’re sober curious, grey area drinking or just questioning your habits, this conversation will meet you gently.   🎙️ ADHD IS… (formerly Corporate to Calm) 🎧 Listen now on all major platforms   ⬇️ LINKS & RESOURCES The Calm Business Method 💬 Join the conversation Let me know in the comments: – What part of ADHD do you relate to most? – What should I talk about next? – What are your business questions?   My Free Stuff  The Calm Business Audit The Creative Entrepreneur's Time & Energy Reset 10 Calm Systems for Creative Entrepreneurs The Habit Boss YouTube Channel The Habit Boss Instagram The Habit Boss TikTok This isn’t about fixing yourself or pretending ADHD is a superpower.
