Description

ADHD with Confidence is for women with ADHD who are late-diagnosed or self-diagnosed who are ready to stop wondering, "What's wrong with me?" and start understanding the incredible brain they've had all along.

Hosted by trained Life & ADHD Coach, Kelsey Spronk, who was diagnosed with ADHD herself, this podcast helps women with ADHD make sense of their experiences, build lasting confidence, and create a life that works with their brain—not against it.

If you've spent years masking, people-pleasing, overthinking, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling with self-doubt, you're not alone. A late ADHD diagnosis can explain so much—but it's also just the beginning. Each episode offers practical ADHD strategies, compassionate coaching, and empowering conversations to help you move from surviving to thriving.

You'll learn how to:

  • Understand and work with your ADHD brain

  • Build confidence and trust yourself

  • Set healthy boundaries and let go of people-pleasing

  • Discover your strengths, purpose, and what helps you thrive

We'll discuss questions like:

  • What is ADHD?

  • Do I have ADHD?

  • What is ADHD masking?

  • What does ADHD look like in women?

  • How does ADHD affect my relationships?

  • Why do I feel overwhelmed all the time?

  • What are the signs and symptoms of ADHD in adults?

  • How do I overcome perfectionism in ADHD?

  • How can I feel better about myself as a woman with ADHD?

  • Can I be successful with ADHD?

  • Should I get an ADHD diagnosis?

Whether you were diagnosed in your 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, or beyond, ADHD with Confidence is your reminder that you're not lazy, broken, or failing—you simply have a different brain. And when you understand it, everything starts to make more sense.

You're not too much, too scattered, or too late. You're exactly where you need to be.

Did you know there's a connection between ADHD and your pelvic floor? Hint: it has to do with our nervous system.  What about the fact that 20-25% of women over 40 have at least early stage prolapse? Or that 1 in 3 women will develop clinically significant prolapse over their lifetime? And that jumps to 1 in 2 for those who have given birth? Jenn Lormand shared these statistics with me and I was shocked to see how high these percentages are! In today's episode, we talk all about your pelvic floor health, prolapse and the connection with ADHD. We discuss common signs and symptoms of prolapse, including: urgency, frequency, leaks, pressure, hip/back pain, sexual pain, constipation and bloating.  I hope you find today's episode as interesting and helpful as I did! Why don't we feel good enough as women with ADHD? I believe it stems from these two categories: (1) We measure ourselves by external expectations (social media, family, culture), and (2) We fail to recognize our own strengths and contributions.  Today's episode will help you explore where your expectations are coming from, how to let of of unhealthy or unrealistic expectations and how to finally recognize that you've been good enough all along. In today's episode, I am joined by Dr. Jennie Byrne — psychiatrist, neuroscientist, and author of ADHD in Professionals — for a practical, research-based conversation about why “ADHD” is a misleading name and how to adopt a strengths-focused view. We discuss how ADHD shows up differently in adults, the overlap with anxiety, and why it’s better framed as a brain variant rather than a disorder. The episode covers stigma (especially for adults and women), the challenges high-achieving professionals face—masking, household management, health maintenance, and the toll of modern attention-draining technology—and the surprising strengths of many ADHD minds, including creativity, hyper-focus, and resilience under pressure. Dr. Byrne shares concrete recommendations: know your brain and body, prioritize movement, consider formal assessment and treatment options, delegate and rewrite cultural assumptions, minimize attention-grabbing tech, and structure work around peak focus times.
