On this episode, we’re interviewing Lacey Olson and Ashley Pate. They are the voices behind the true crime podcast United States of Murder, which is produced in Little Rock. The ARKAST podcast is produced by the Arkansas Podcast Collaborative, a non-profit dedicated to supporting and celebrating podcasters in the Natural State.
This is the very first episode of the ARKAST podcast, which features interviews with Arkansas podcasters and industry experts. Our first guest is Karen Tricot Steward, who owns a podcast production company called Power of Pod. She also worked at the NPR affiliate in Little Rock, KUAR, for a number of years as a reporter, anchor, and Content Development Director. She’s created civics education podcasts for the Arkansas Supreme Court. And, she has her own podcast, a true crime podcast called Burden. I asked her to give us some tips on how to launch and market a podcast.
