Ad Lucem
Description
The year is 2032, and the revolutionary tech company AD LUCEM O.I. has over 10 million subscribers. Their Corporeal Augmented Reality Assistant, or CARA for short, is a massive success. CARA isn’t just another listening device. It’s a virtual assistant, helmed by a live operator, who responds to the wants and needs of their clients in real time – the way only a human can. With an update to this game-changing technology on the horizon, the company’s CEO is poised to capture the fame and fortune she’s always dreamed of. But it is quickly revealed that her determination to “maintain the thread of human connection” might have unintended consequences…
AD LUCEM is a nine-episode, socio-political thriller about the ethical dilemmas that surface when the pursuit of human connection blurs the lines between technology and reality.

Wow, that twist at the end! Great episode!
This is excellent work. A plot-twisting story delivered by talented actors. And it's a QCODE production, so there's plenty of no-dialog parts to feed your mind's eye!

good
Great acting and sound! Very well done.
I couldn't resist joining this discussion on "Ad Lucem" because it's a concept that has always fascinated me. "Ad Lucem," translated as "towards the light" in Latin, holds a profound significance in various aspects of life, from philosophy to spirituality, and even in the realms of science. https://gb.enrollbusiness.com/BusinessProfile/6344150/Packaging-Mart-London-Greater-London-W1F-9NT In philosophy, "Ad Lucem" often symbolizes the pursuit of knowledge, truth, and enlightenment. It's a reminder that as individuals, we should continuously strive to expand our understanding of the world around us, seeking wisdom and insight. https://gb.kompass.com/c/packaging-mart/gb99154326/
This started off very good, but it's falling apart narratively. Rapid plot changes and short runtime makes me wonder how on Earth they're going to give a satisfying, or even coherent, ending next episode.
This episode was heartbreaking
okay I super love when ads are built into the show so they are less intrusive. It was done in such a clever manner here that I didn't even notice it at first. well done! And what a fantastic first ep!
