In today’s episode, we drop into the still, pulsing void of Transcendental Meditation. That’s right—mantras, Maharishi, and the vibrational highways of the inner cosmos. But in true AAO fashion, we can’t just Om and go home. We veer off the meditation cushion to share a few ghost stories, then take a soft right turn into Jokesville, USA. And heads up—this is part one of a two-part journey into TM. In this episode, we introduce the practice and explore what drew each of us to it. Part two will document the results after a full month of daily practice. Will we transcend—or just trend-scend?
Today’s episode, we dive headfirst into the lesser-known concept of Loosh. That’s right—energy farming, emotional harvesting, inter-dimensional snack food… whatever you want to call it, we’re going there. From Robert Monroe’s wild astral adventures to the increasingly popular theory that Earth is one big cosmic Loosh buffet, we explore the idea that maybe—just maybe—your existential dread is someone else’s amuse-bouche... or as we like to call it, amuse-loosh. And of course, in classic AAO fashion, we spiral into adjacent rabbit holes: Archons, The Matrix, manifestation, initiatory dreams, and all sorts of other tasty tangents to keep the Loosh flowing strong enough to reach even the most distant inter-dimensional interlocutor.
Today’s episode we take a collective walk down memory lane to discuss all things “Mall”. From Dawn of the Dead to orange Julius, from Nate’s job at a mall arcade to today’s obsession with backrooms and liminal spaces, we leave no fake plastic stone unturned. Also in typical AAO form we spend a decent amount of time randomly talking about manifestation, black holes, Tom Campbell, Simulation Theory, Chat GPT learning to remote view, and more!Find us at: www.aaopodcast.com

As you know every year Against All Oddities, by way of oldest brother Nate, throws a massive party at his 10 acre haunted estate in rural Virginia. This annual tradition brings nearly a hundred people come together to dress up in costume, eat tons of food, and party with the against all oddities team. We often use this opportunity to reconnect with each other, form treasure hunts, do some sketchy metal casting, erect large portals, and tell ghost stories around a variety of camp fires. In honor of this year’s festival we are dedicating this episode to talk about a favorite topic of ours, ghosts and apparitions. So join us as we discuss thoughts about life beyond the veil with each other and with some of the many guests gathered for October-Feast 2024!
Today we have a special episode that we are calling History’s mytereries, volume 1. In today’s episode each brother brings with them a spooky historical mystery to ponder over. Nate brings us a true murder mystery from the 1940s in a segment called who put Bella into the witch elm, Tim digs deep into the first ghost story, and Chris reflects on the Hidden Hand mystery of the theosophist and the Hermetic brotherhood of Luxor.
Today we will be talking about those that walk among us…what does that mean? Well, we’re not sure ourselves, but we wanted to have a fun episode and this is what we ended up with. Actually it turned out pretty great. In the episode we not only talk about the possibility of aliens eluding our detection during the mundane hours of our lives, but we also discuss movies and personal anecdotes surrounding time travelers, spirit possession, sleep walking, Vampires, para normal apathy, Indrid Cold and the men in black, spies like us, and of course those sneaky wizards and occult mages that you pass on the street every day without ever getting noticed. So put on your trainers and grab your “they live” sunglasses because you’re about to start seeing the strangers that are walking among us.
In today’s episode, we’re diving into the world of artificial intelligence—a realm where science fiction meets science fact, and where the line between human and machine is increasingly blurred. From the cutting-edge algorithms that drive our favorite apps to the robots that might one day walk among us, AI is shaping our world in ways we never imagined. We’re not just talking about the basics here. We’ll dig into everything from the origins of AI and its wild predictions to the ethical conundrums and futuristic visions that make us both excited and a bit unnerved. We’ve got some intriguing guests lined up and a few unexpected twists that will challenge your perception of what AI really is.And don’t worry, while we’re diving deep into some seriously complex topics, we promise to keep the conversation lively and light-hearted. So, get ready for a mind-bending journey into the algorithms and artificial minds that are changing the fabric of our reality. Now, buckle up and prepare for an exploration into the extraordinary and the enigmatic.
Today’s episode is all about the concept of intention based manifestation. Join us as we talk about everything from Bob Proctor, The Silva Method, New Thought, Mitch Horowitz and his 30 day mental challenge and so much more. We are super into this topic because not only does it work, and we give you the examples to prove it, but give you some solid tactics and strategies that you can try out for yourself. Don’t worry, despite us getting weirdly sincere in this episode we also made sure to keep some humor in the mix. Also, since we don’t mention it in the episode if you try any of this stuff out and it works please let us know by writing us at wizard@dorfyou.com. Now get your mind ready and manifest me to shut up and start the episode.Bob Proctor MeditationMitch Horowitz: 30 Day Mental Challenge
So for this month’s episode we talk about the end of the world through the lens of cinema and to sweeten the deal even further we offer legitimate tips regarding our actual bug-out bags (go ahead and skip to 1hr, 13 minutes into the podcast if you’re here for the brass tacks) and of course it wouldn’t prudent to skip talking about the philosophy of loss including the concept of virtue vs. value because after all this is not a drill, this is Against all oddities.
This month we are talking about Near Death Experiences or NDEs if you want to save some time, and we’re doing it the only way we know how, by cramming together a bunch of jokes, personal anecdotes, and a several hilarious stories out of left field, including, Time Perception, Squirrel attacks, Michael Stipe and train hopping. Of course we also dig into the topic at hand and discuss the Monroe institute field test for NDEs, first hand NDE accounts, book and TV recommendations, and NDE fails! Also for all of our super fans out there you might notice that this episode was recorded back in November when we punted it to the Spring. So if it seems like we’re giving you some quick updates about our lives that seemingly happened months ago it’s because we are. You most likely…won’t notice…but we wanted to warn you anyways because we are AGAINST ALL ODDITIES!!!
I shit you not we bend spoons this episode and so will you after you listen. So Unlike Uri Geller who may or may not have bent spoons with his mind, today’s physconaught actually bends spoons using both hands. It may not impress your friends as much at a party but something is still happening. Try it. Right now, go grab some spoons and forks…..Ok are you ready, first trying bending them into a knot with your strength alone…see you can do it but it’s hard and it hurts. Now start sending that spoon some energy, refine your focus and listen to this episode of Against All Oddities. If you get it right the cutlery will bend with no effort at all.
