Daniel is the guy behind Smooth Corner Studio. As a passionate videographer and photographer, he loves capturing life's special moments and turning them into timeless memories.Although born in Italy, he fell in love with Australia and moved to Perth in 2020. Now, he's happily settled here with his better half.Daniel's love affair with film photography began when he got his hands on his first film camera (the legendary Canon A1). He quickly realised that there's just something magical about capturing images on film that digital cameras can't quite replicate. Not long after he started taking photos, he got hooked on video-making and storytelling. Nowadays, he spends most of his time behind the lens, creating stunning visuals and telling captivating stories. When he's not busy creating magic, you'll probably find him camping in the wilderness, surfing or dreaming up his next big adventure. You can find Daniel here:https://www.smoothcornerstudio.com.au/Instagram:https://www.instagram.com/danielsmoothcornerClaire can be found at these locations:Book your free strategy session here:https://calendly.com/photosbyclaireperth/strategy-callhttps://photosbyclaireperth.com/I'd love to know if you loved this episode, I hang out here InstagramClick this link to purchase the photography contract for your peace of mind:https://clairesmith.podia.com/photography-contractIf you loved this episode, please subscribe and leave a review on where you listen to this podcast, a little bit of love goes a long way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

You’re constantly growing, evolving and breaking through comfort zones. On today’s episode I discuss everything about bravery and the courage it takes to keep showing up in business and how if you get outside of your comfort zone you not only get used to the feeling, you get incredible rewards too.I absolutely love this chat with Jai and I know you will too. Six ways I set up a family photoshoot for success:Pre-shoot planning, I send my client a questionnaire and I ask questions like what do you envisage for the shoot, how can I bring their dream to life. This questionnaire gives me an insight into what they love to do and how they like to spend their time. This gives me a thread of information I can use at the shoot. I then send them a style guide and include how to prepare for the shoot and this means they arrive to the shoot feeling prepared because it’s a vulnerable thing to have your photo taken, especially if you’re not feeling prepared. As soon as I meet my family at location I am holding space. I’m saying hi to everyone, remembering their names and I connect with the children but try not to over do it with them. I know the mum is an easy connect so my next person I focus on is the dad. He is often the one who isn’t completely sold on the photoshoot idea - not always but sometimes - and at these times I find a thread that we might have in common and pull that thread and before long he is so happy to be there and enjoying the moment - I’m getting so much more out of the shoot because of this.I’ll take some warm up shots on the way to location or as soon as I arrive and then hold the camera while talking more - chatting about anything I have found of interest to them. This creates a feeling of comfort, firstly the photo wasn’t so hard and secondly, I’m putting them at ease with conversation and holding space. After this which is about 15 minutes after we have met I go in for the shoot, and we capture and don’t stop much at all. I’ll show them the back of the camera so they get excited and want to do more. I’ll chat from time to time but at this point I’m in there to do the job. I’m directing and posing and creating authentic moments to capture.Paying attention to details and diversity of shots. I love the smaller details, hand holding, nose to nose, face to face, cuddles and genuine affection. These photos will mean so much to my client. I also love to move around, I’m constantly moving around my clients getting different angles and then we move positions physically around the location, this is a great way to get diversity into your images. On conclusion we chat, sometimes well after dark and the pressure is off, everyone is happy, this is where a long term connection can happen. It’s so important to keep holding that space, have a laugh and finish on a high note. I explain to my family next steps on gallery delivery and we hug and say bye. Send a quote in under a minute!!Here are four ways to set your self up for success and streamline your business so you too can send out a quote in under one minute.Number 1: you receive your enquiry via. DM or contact form from SN in your website. saved template in notes or SN template response. If you’re happy with that: You want to establish two things, their e-mail address and timing: best day of the week and roughly when they want to go ahead.Number 2: take them out of DM’s and into e-mail. When you set up your SN you want to make templates to reflect each type of service you provide. You’ll create packages and templates for the quote. Include contracts questionnaire, invoice. Connect to Stripe.Number 3: Cover e-mail templates, set them all up and have links in from Canvalocation guide, client wardrobe guide, explain how the quote works (moves with you), what will happen after this stepnumber 4: Go back into DM (if this was the way) and let them know the e-mail has been sent.My Mastermind is now open - more details here if you're wanting to feel supported in your photography business:https://clairesmith.podia.com/42514aa7-c088-4d1d-b72c-20dc39998016Studio NinjaUse this promo code: AVXX05KA1L3KH8 and get 20% off your subscription to Studio NinjaClaire can be found at these locations:Book your free strategy session here:https://calendly.com/photosbyclaireperth/strategy-callhttps://photosbyclaireperth.com/I'd love to know if you loved this episode, I hang out here InstagramClick this link to purchase the photography contract for your peace of mind:https://clairesmith.podia.com/photography-contractIf you loved this episode, please subscribe and leave a review on where you listen to this podcast, a little bit of love goes a long way ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
