I think, when Aaron makes jokes or simplifies things through "humor" he derails guests in expressing the wholeness of there thinking or values. the use of hiking or... making light of himself keeps the conversation more surface and stops the depth I'm looking for with learning some of these things. regardless the material and guest choice is always great.
