Today we are sitting down with skin therapist and co-founder of Dermalogica, Jane Wurwand! At the age of 24, Jane, an immigrant from the United Kingdom, recognized the lack of training in continuing skin therapy education in the United States. It is now the #1 professional skin care brand in the world.   Our conversation with Jane is motivating and inspirational, regardless of whether or not you’re a female entrepreneur. Her wisdom as it relates to trusting your inner truth and never doubting or shrinking yourself is GOLD. Jane shares her knowledge on creating a company culture, the importance of knowing your values, and building a community around your brand. Her passion and devotion for changing the conversation around labels and the idea of beauty is so refreshing. Jane also gives recommendations and tips for taking care of your skin. Today we are joined by astrologer, tarot expert, and intuitive, Jessica Alexandria! She’s the creator of BehatiLife, and provides weekly astrology readings and intuitive guidance through her wildly popular YouTube channel.   Jess lives in one of the most haunted areas of New Orleans and grew up in Jamaica, so our conversation begins with a conversation around her environments and how they have strengthened her intuition.  She is open about her current and past experiences with spirits and ghosts and is thorough in response to Krista and Lindsey’s curiosities around the supernatural. Although these encounters terrified her as a child, Jessica later embraced them as she used tarot as a tool to realize gifts about herself, such as her psychic abilities. Our conversation also sheds light on building a relationship with your tarot deck, the importance of setting intentions, and being open to what the cards are trying to tell you. Jess includes tips for using fire and candle magic, and connecting with your ancestors.   Finally, Jess shares her reading for the rest of 2019.   We also talk about: The origins of tarot  Calling in Spirit Guides with tarot Cultivating feminine energy Personal growth in relationships Different forms of magic & rituals Cultural view of body image   Find more to love at almost30podcast.com!   Resources: Learn more: behatilife.com Twitter: @behatilife Instagram: @behatilife YouTube: BehatiLife Checkout the Almost 30 Shop: almost30podcast.com/shop   Upcoming Events: September 12th: Los Angeles with Nicole Lapin September 17th: Chicago with Millana Snow September 18th: Nashville with Julie Solomon September 19th: Nashville with Dr. Josh Axe   Sponsors: Four Sigmatic | Use code ALMOST30 for 15% off your order at foursigmatic.com/almost30 Vitruvi | Use code ALMOST30 for 20% off products on vitruvi.com and vitruvi.ca  Queen V | Use code ALMOST30 for 30% off at queenvlife.com Further Food | Use code ALMOST30 for 30% off your purchase at shop.furtherfood.com/discount/ALMOST30 BarkBox | Get 1 FREE MONTH when you subscribe to a 6 or 12 month plan barkbox.com/almost30 Almost 30 is edited by Crate Media

Today we are talking sex and relationships with clinical sexologist Shan Boodram, aka Shan BOODY! Her new book, The Game of Desire, is all about finding your ideal relationship and building confidence in your love life. Her website offers quizzes to help you gain clarity on the type of relationship and sex life you are seeking. We discuss the different apology languages, turn on triggers, and strategies for dating, so your search for love is fulfilling and sustainable. I love these girls and their talk with their guests! My only qualm is that the interviews are much much much more about the guests and their careers than what the title claims the episode is going to be about... which is a major minus from me and something lots of podcasts seem to do, but this podcast is still worth listening to because they are hilarious!
