Advent Traditions, Anti-Reformed Rants and Arguments

Started off taking a LOT more time than I expected talking about ancient housing arrangements, what a "manger" might be, etc., and then moved on to a rant against Reformed theology and a common argument against God's decree that keeps coming up. Interrupted by a brief power outage at our office, but, I assume Rich will just cut that out. Enjoy!

Open Phones with Great Questions (Except for One)!

Really had fun on today's program! Started off with a question I have for a Reformed Baptist minister, and all of his tribe, and the issue of "ecumenical councils," then went to callers. The first, about "Holocaustianity" went too long and went nowhere, but the rest were all thoughtful and really helpful. We have a great audience! I was really encouraged by the quality of the questions and the thinking they exemplified.

Holocaustianity? Really Joel? The Weirdness Continues, Plus a Little Soteriology101.

I guess I had more stuff from Joel Webbon than I thought I did as I kept running into it as I looked through my bookmarks today and we kept circling back, my apologies! But, after talking about "Holocaustianity" we did get to some Provisionist stuff, though I didn't get that finished up. Will do so next week, I hope. But, coming on Thursday, we will do another Zoom calls episode. See you then!

Road Trip Dividing Line: Conditionalism, Immaculate Conception

Touched on the current controversy raging over conditionalism/annihilationism in the first half hour. It is a tough topic, and rarely approached from the perspective that would allow a consistent, and biblical, conclusion. Then we looked at the Immaculate Conception defined 12/8/1854, and some amazing responses to a short post I put up about it just yesterday.

Road Trip Dividing Line: X Theology Responses

Covered a lot of topics today. Answered three questions from a great apologist up north (not that he needed them!), then dove into stuff on John 6, the use of metaphor, King James Onlyism and Steven Anderson (again!), Redeemed Zoomer, BishopJaxi, and finally, an emotion based "testimony" of conversion to Mormonism and the LDS priesthood. Don't forget to catch clips from the program if you can't listen to the whole thing here!

Road Trip Dividing Line: Insane World Stuff, BishopJaxi's Self-Refuting Question

Did the program live from Pryor, Oklahoma (it's a bit nippy out here!). Covered some truly insane cultural items at the start, and then moved on to responding to @BishopJaxi's attack on sola scriptura on X. Important material for folks wanting to provide sound responses to those seeking a form of the church that Christ never intended us to have.

Another Open Phones Dividing Line

Covered a bunch of topics from Titus 1:6 and elders to Eastern Orthodoxy and sola scriptura and other topics. Will be doing another program on Wednesday given it is a holiday week, and then I head for Pryor, St. Charles, and elsewhere on Friday!

Open Phones Dividing Line!

Rich and I were commenting after the show, "Why don't we do this more often? That was great!" Good calls on lots of topics as always. Two were on Reformed Baptists in churches of another denomination (one Lutheran, one PCA). Also calls on the early church writers, Mormonism, etc. Enjoy!

Skillet Non-Controversy, Conciliar Authority, CN Documentary

Spent a little longer than I intended to address the "controversy" on line regarding Skillet's great rendition of O Come, O Come Emmanuel, and then moved on to comments made by Matthew Barrett on "conciliar authority" and being a Baptist. Right toward the end we mentioned the new trailer(s) for an upcoming Christian Nationalism documentary and how really dumb it is to say Christianity is "fake and gay."

Mamdani, Gio Benitez and the USCCB, and Kings Back to You, Dr. Allen

Had to finally comment on the election of an open communist (I explain how democratic socialists are just communists without guns...yet) in New York City, and what that means for the future. Then I looked at the recent reception of Gio Benitez, an openly "married" homosexual, into the Roman Church, replete with access to the Eucharist, and how even Bishop Strickland raised the issue to the USCCB. Then we responded to Dr. Allen's comments on our challenge to Provisionists, discovering the new "hermeneutic of agnosticism" that they use to try to avoid actually telling us what texts mean (rather than just telling us what they cannot possibly mean).

Papal Disunity, Historical Anachronism, Challenge to Provisionists, and More

Looked at some interesting developments in last week's topic of the Papal document on Marian doctrines, and then transitioned into the issue of historical anachronism, and how it is popping up all over the place on the Internet, and no one seems to be able to recognize it. Then we looked at David Allen and the topic of 1 John 5:1, providing a challenge to all Provisionists. Then we discussed the utter meltdown of Sam Shamoun in his attacks on David Wood, and finished up looking at what seems to be a relatively new note the Watchtower has attached to its translation of John 12:41 seeking to keep their followers in the darkness of error.

Finishing Up on the New Vatican Document, Quick Retort to Joshua Charles

Yes, I did briefly mention communism rising in the nation, but I kept that short. Focused on reading from the new document from the Vatican, going over its assertions, and then moving on at the very end to a thread with Joshua Charles, a convert to Papalism, on the utter dogmatic necessity of anachronism in how Roman Catholics handle history.

Mater Populi Fidelis: Today's Papal Pronouncement

A whole lot of Roman Catholics around the world awoke today to deep disappointment. Not only did the new Papal document, Mater Papuli Fidelis, not define the 5th Marian dogma, it was, evidently, meant to be the stake in the heart of the movement to have that dogma defined. This was quite a shock to many, but in reality, this new document proves once again one fundamental reality: Rome operates on her own authority (sola ecclesia) and does not have access to anything that is truly "Apostolic tradition." We dive into the topic, and the documentation, today on the program, but will need to finish up on Thursday. This is a pretty important discussion of a central and current discussion relating to modern Roman Catholicism.

Radio Free Geneva: Reformation Day 2025

So the net is abuzz with excited speculation about a doctrinal statement coming from the Vatican next Tuesday about Mary's role in salvation. Millions of Roman Catholics around the world have signed petitions over the past three decades or more requesting the definition of the "Fifth Marian Dogma" that being Mary as Co-Redemptrix, Co-Mediatrix, and Advocate for the people of God. Many are hoping this new document will dogmatize that teaching, though I find that doubtful. We discuss the issue on Reformation Day 2025. Enjoy!

Wes Huff Broke the Internet: A Review of the 1,300 Replies

Wes Huf posted a two sentence post on X a few days ago. It simply said, "Reformation is not an attempt at new Christianity. Reformation is retrieval of true Christianity." And boom---so far, 1,300 responses, mainly from Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox, but also a number of Mormons jumped in for the fun of it. So we looked at the replies and tackled all sorts of topics during the Reformation week as we prepare for Reformation Sunday coming up!

More Eastern Orthodoxy, Reaching the New Mormons, and a Tornado for Good Measure!

Not really sure why but I started off talking about my earliest childhood memory from when I was 2.5 years of age. I even got to show a picture of what I saw that day in 1965. Then we looked at some issues raised regarding Eastern Orthodoxy, then read the anathemas from the Seventh Ecumenical Council in 787. Finished up talking about the New Mormons and how to reach them.

Word and Spirit, God Chooses the Weak Things, and Back to David Allen's Really Bad Bo

Spent quite some time responding to some pretty triumphalistic comments from Roman Catholics, pointing out that there are clear dividing lines between biblical Christianity and Rome's modern state. Then we transitioned to looking again at David Allen's really bad book, and finished off with some ministry related announcements and requests. An hour and 15 today!

The John 1 Trinity Debate: James White vs. Dale Tuggy

Two renowned theologians go head-to-head in a rigorous, respectful debate on one of the most discussed passages in Scriptureโ€”**John 1:1โ€“18**. ๐Ÿ“– **Thesis:** *"John 1 is not Trinitarian."* ๐Ÿ“– **Debate Format** * Opening Statements (30 min each) * Rebuttals (10 min each) * Cross-Examination (15 min each) * Audience Q&A (15 min) * Closing Statements (5 min each) **Highlights:** * Historical development of Trinitarian doctrine * The Greek grammar of *John 1:1* ("In the beginning was the Wordโ€ฆ") * The meaning of "the Word was God" * Can the Bible teach the Trinity without the word "Trinity"? * Is the Word an eternal divine person, or God's own wisdom personified? Taking the **affirmative**, **Dr. Dale Tuggy** (Unitarian Christian Alliance) argues that John's prologue should be read through a first-century lens, without importing later Trinitarian concepts. Taking the **negative**, **Dr. James White** (Alpha & Omega Ministries) contends that the Greek text itself affirms the eternal deity of Christ and that the doctrine of the Trinity is rooted in Scripture, not post-biblical development. Dr. White defends the classical Trinitarian understanding that "the Word was God," while Dr. Tuggy argues from a Unitarian perspective that *John 1* does not teach a tri-personal God. Together, they explore Greek grammar, early church history, philosophy of time, and biblical theology โ€” offering deep insights into how Christians have read this passage for centuries. ๐Ÿ’ฌ **Moderator:** Jeremiah Nortier (*The Apologetic Dog*) ๐Ÿ“ Hosted by: Covenant Reformed Baptist Church ๐Ÿ“… Dr. White's 200th moderated public debate

Globalist Dreams, Roman Catholic Claims, Todd Erzen Challenge

Listened to Yuvul Harrari once again laying out the future of a dehumanized earth, and how to "hack" people. The WEF is straight out of a Bond movie, it really is. Then we looked at a number of Roman Catholic claims and Todd Erzen's (Steve Deace's producer) claim that lying is a "sacrament in James' church," and that I "blaspheme" the Roman Church "daily." We examined this attack in context, and then I invited Todd to come on the program, or, to have me on his, to discuss these issues. We will see if he takes me up on it!

Wes Huff Comments on Amman Hallman's Recent Outburst

When I saw a clip on line about Wes Huff causes a "demon" to come out of Amman Hallman, I had to click. Once I figured out the context, I noted that I was going to comment on it on today's DL. Wes contacted me and wanted to know if I would like him to join us, and of course I said yes! So we managed to snag a full hour from the busy young man as we talked text criticism, translation, and the odd, odd story of Amman Hallman and his amazing attacks upon Jesus and the Christian faith. All Greek geeks, TC aficionados, etc,. will love this one!

Unsunscribing due to the radical political views pressed through the show. I realized of the past couple of years that Christians like James white don't believe in freedom, they believe that white Christians should have freedom and that everyone else should be like them. My political views have changed over the years, and the radical nature of podcasts like these have only pushed me further away from conservatism. They claim to be for freedom but in reality are usually just theo-fascists.

Dr White, I'm still catching up on the DL, hoping to get current by the end of the day. What you say is true, and God bless you, brother! The world hates you because the world hates God. I praise God for you and all you've done.

Can I ask a question Dr. White? I always have seen in the church where there are passages used when talking about others coming to Christ and such, they use the term "he" and we associate that to mean men and women, but how come in this context (the foundation laid out for men in the church) why can we not use it the same? I'm just trying to understand. Thank you very much for your time!
