Author of been shed bore (Chaudiere Books, 2010), Pearl Pirie's manuscript Thirsts won the 2011 Robert Kroetsch Award for innovative Poetry. Snare put out this, her second trade collection, Thirsts in the fall of 2011. A few other manuscripts are out circulating and in the works.
She has been coordinating facilitators for the Tree Seed Workshop Series for the Tree Reading Series since 2009.

Kimberley Dawkins
Kimberley Dawkins is a writer, musician, and visual artist from Scarborough. Her work has appeared in a number of places, from national newspapers in Jamaica to small Toronto zines. She is an avid chess and Scrabble player. When not doing problem sets, singing the blues, or attacking her sewing machine, she works at a variety of (increasingly) odd jobs. Her first chapbook, 'neurotica' was completed in 2010 and she's hard at work on a second. She divides her time between Ottawa and Toronto.
