the lack of justice in this case is infuriating. one guy did not deserve to die of natural causes in the free world. and he got a slap on the wrist.

The Swami seems cool. Unfazed by the truck breaking down, says "why do we need a truck?" and walks. And it is just a shame that he attracted the worst of the worst. Nonexistent charities.... terrible.

Paywalling in the middle of a pandemic where people are short on both money and sanity? I hope you realize how much of a prick move that is. What? Did Bezos buy Wondery or something?

I'm so confused by the sympathetic treatment of Steve - he was a controlling husband within a cult and got jealous (without real reason) when his wife was devoted to their leader. Keith was a terrible person, but Steve does not deserve our sympathy.

Not a fan. It's a boring telling of interesting stories. I've notice quite of few of these types of podcasts on Wonderly. They are worse than audio books (I loathe audiobooks). There's just a person telling a story in such a dry way. I think these shows could take a lot from amazing storytelling podcasts like The Moth, Snap Judgement, This American Life, etc. Someone just talking and talking... no.

this is extremely disheartening to me! The poor black people were taught to obey and trust white folks, especially a doctor! Was is really true that these men were infected by being promiscuous?
