Description

KC is the American Vigilante - A hugely complex, intelligent, contradictory man who could save your life but end it too. Who leads a group of violent men standing on the blurred line between right and wrong, between revenge and redemption. A man you want on your side when it all falls apart.

American Vigilante is true crime, but so much more. It’s saving abducted children, it’s stepping beyond the law. It’s rescue missions, assassination attempts and last-gasp protection. It’s all the stuff you hope never comes to you, until it does.

Former BBC Journalist Sam Walker presents this Crowd Network original. She’s been speaking to KC for months and has recorded everything he’s told her. You’ll need to listen to make your own mind up, but you might never be the same again.

It’s shocking, inspiring, frightening and thought-provoking. It’ll change how you see the world, and it might change how you move within it.

Everyone thinks they’re safe, until they aren’t. Everyone thinks they know how they’ll react, until the darkness comes.

I know who this guy is..John "Hannibal" Smith. You know his teams story, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... the A-Team." if you're going to tell a story, tell it, but don't blow smoke up my ass and say it's a true story.

There are so many holes in this story it is impossible to believe or take seriously. Couple of examples: What city or town in Canada is close to the border, but people go to the store on a ski doo and travel in snow shoes. Please. And this town serves moose stew in restaurants!? (That’s not a thing in Canada!). The “war wagon” vehicle that has a modified diesel gas tank to drive from coast to coast of the USA. That’s ridiculous. To claim as a reporter you could not fact check these things because of anonymity is ludicrous. You don’t need a persons identity to establish this is nonsense.

@americanvigilante I feel like he is a mimic, like although he is supposed to be clandestine his stories seem as if he's told them over & over again. In addition I notice the quick shifts in emotion, as in the story of the BBQ, he had an extremely emotional response to in the blink of eye, buttoned up tight, 'someone has to do it & I'm the man for the job.' Every scenario he paints himself as the hero, every instance he is the cowboy wearing the 'white hat'. It's the plot line from all the A-teams, Rambos, NYPD Blue, Beverly Hills Cop etc. oh & Bruce Lee & Jason Bourne too.. rolled into one and that is the persona this guy delivers.

It bothers me that this is presented as true crime when the story is obviously not rooted in truth. There has been little to no fact checking, which I find disturbing coming from a reporter. "KC" contradicts himself so many times, and his story is obviously fake, or at a bare minimum grossly exaggerated. It's a captivating story, but that's it, it's just a story and it should be presented as such.

Guys like K.C. are the people you call when the criminals have more rights than the victims. Our Government has used them and will continue to but don't want to talk about it. I find it aggravating thatGov will throw you in jail for using their own tactics. They say...we can't have everyone running around taking the law in their own hands when they do it daily and studded when caught. Have you ever noticed the statue of Lady Justice holding the scales is peeking under her blindfold??? She sees how much money is piled on..
