Amplify: Story, Resistance, Radio

Amplify: Story, Resistance, Radio is a part live ‘Pirate Radio’ performance and part sound exhibition. Amplify is about the importance of speaking out and about the importance of listening in urban politics. Amplify is a living, breathing example of how stories occupy urban space and generate solidarity—stories from First Nations communities, from housing justice advocates and climate activists, the stories of women, queer groups, and the incarcerated, and those from ethnically-diverse broadcasters. Amplify is an invitation to share stories about sound and activism in the city through live radio broadcasts from the gallery and in visual conversations discussing key moments of amplification. Show up. Listen up. Get involved. Tin Sheds Gallery Exhibition dates: October 5 - November 18 2023 Opening night: Thursday 5 October 6-8pm
