A somewhat shocking day in the Brian Walshe trial with the defense announcing not only will Brian Walshe not testify, no one else will either. It’s a decision based on strategic confidence or avoidance of risk, but either way, the defense surprised a number of legal experts who were anticipating at least a few witnesses to take the stand in defense of Walshe. Today’s decision suggests Walshe’s defense team feels good about their ability to sew reasonable doubt in the minds of jurors through their cross examination of the state’s witnesses. Closing arguments are set for tomorrow!See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It was the prosecution’s final day of testimony and they saved the best for last. The day began with Gem Mutlu, one of the Walshe’s dear friends and most notably, the man who spent New Year’s Eve with the couple in the hours leading up to Ana’s death. The prosecution struggled with Mutlu’s testimony, and it’s unclear whether it did more harm than good. The final witness for the state was one of Ana’s best friends who had some incredible details we have yet to hear about the Walshe’s marriage, but once again, she seems to have both helped and hurt the case against Walshe. The family of a 1989 murder victim speaks out moments after her murderer was executed. The state of Florida put 58-year-old Mark Allen Geralds to death by lethal injection Tuesday night. Amy and T.J. discuss Geralds’ bizarre last words plus preview Thursday’s scheduled execution of a Tennessee man whose attorneys say will be the first man executed for a crime he pleaded guilty to committing. And finally, the Supreme Court is taking up a case out of Alabama, where that state is trying to execute a man two lower courts have ruled is intellectually disabled.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It was a complicated, technical day of blood evidence highly important to the prosecution’s case, but the problem was, it was difficult for anyone other than a forensic scientist to absorb and understand the testimony. Walshe’s attorneys were able to keep things simple on cross examination though, getting the state’s witnesses to admit two very important things to the jury. First, that there was no blood found in the Walshe’s bedroom or bathrooms, and second, while there was blood found on the basement floor, no crime lab test could reveal how or when that blood got there. The Brian Walshe trial wrapped up its 6th day of testimony with a number of eerie visuals and evidence. Jurors saw Brian Walshe shopping for dismemberment supplies within hours of Ana Walshe’s death, even bringing their child with him to a follow up visit to the store. We also heard and saw photos of blood stains found in the Walshe home on rugs and towels, on a knife and on the basement floor, but as Amy and T.J. discuss, the defense continued to score points in cross examination.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Criminal defense attorney Alison Triessl is back with Amy and T.J. as we head into week 2 of the Brian Walshe trial, and Triessl can’t believe what she’s seen so far from the prosecution. From missed opportunities on redirect, to rushing through testimony, Triessl explains how Walshe’s defense attorneys are benefiting from the prosecution’s lackluster performance so far in the trial.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Week 2 of the Brian Walshe trial is underway, but on Friday jurors heard texts Walshe sent to his missing wife’s phone well after he knew she was already dead. The prosecution revealed a series of texts in the hours and days following Ana Walshe’s death, feigning concern about her and expressing his love for her. However, the defense made some impressive progress during cross examination, chipping away at premeditation, showing other texts and searches that reveal a loving husband who seemed unaware his wife was having an affair.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

I look forward to each episode. I have been a fan from the first one. Thank you for sharing your story with us. I love how you guys share the good the bad and the everyday parts of your life. 🛥️Yacht rock for life!!!
As a teenager I was in love with my first boyfriend. It was intoxicating, no other word would do. So, when he broke up with me I was so crushed! God, I loved him!! Then, according to my mother, I should have learned something valuable during the relationship. I don't recall learning anything except Love Hurts like nothing else. Amy/TJ, what have either of you or both of you learned from the last relationship you were in? Would love to hear your response in an episode of your Podcast. Thanks!
Does he still have his toe nails?
I've watched you both for as long as you were on GMA. I've enjoyed you and your stories and I also saw that "White Hot Chemistry" between the 2 of you on GMA3! Good Lord! Poor Dr. Jen 🤣 I'm glad she had her upcoming wedding to ponder while you two stole the show with the Flirting Flirting Flirting! If those ABC Exc. didn't catch that during the time you were still working, so they could address it then and reference some policy about no dating, it's their own fault! I'm loving this Podcast!
Very educational, Thank you 👍🏽💯
moma Robach, poppa Robach guess who's coming to dinner 😂😂💯

You two are awesome and truly love each other. You win they lose.
good job! #Classy
I'm so sorry you had to go through this. The media is horrible. I have certain things happening with me and I feel hopeless because of my own consequences. I love you and TJ. I couldn't believe how GMA did you all. ❤️❤️❤️
Out with the old, in with the new. Just another lust story.
I have always been a fan and remain a fan!! I am sure it took a boatload of courage to do this. Kudos to you both! im looking forward to the next podcast. I wish you only love!❤️
