In Episode 98, Andrew Langer and Jerry Rogers are joined by Dr. Peter Pitts—former FDA Associate Commissioner and President of the Center for Medicine in the Public Interest—for a sobering discussion on how America's hospital system has been hijacked by greed, mismanagement, and a lack of accountability. Dr. Pitts explains how hospital consolidation, private equity influence, and opaque billing practices have created a crisis where profit often trumps patient care. Together, they take aim at the myth of the benevolent nonprofit hospital, expose the billions spent on lobbying, and call out the regulatory failure to enforce even basic price transparency laws. After Dr. Pitts departs, Andrew and Jerry pivot to a deeply troubling story out of Charlotte, NC: the brutal murder of a young Ukrainian refugee by an individual who had been released on bond despite facing serious prior charges. The hosts connect this tragedy to the broader collapse of law and order in American cities and question why progressive leaders continue to prioritize political narratives over public safety. They explore how DEI ideology has seeped into every major institution—from hospitals to law enforcement—and how it’s contributing to institutional dysfunction and a dangerous erosion of public trust.Blending policy insight, cultural critique, and principled outrage, this episode is a must-listen for anyone concerned about where the country is headed—and what must be done to save it.
In Episode 97 of Andrew and Jerry Save The World, Andrew Langer and Jerry Rogers take on the spiraling irrationality of our political and media culture with their trademark clarity and wit. The episode kicks off with a light-hearted take on Trump's now-iconic sign-off, “Thank you for your attention to this matter,” before diving deep into serious issues—from foreign policy to domestic dysfunction.Andrew and Jerry analyze Trump’s recent strike on Iran, the media’s apocalyptic overreaction, and the bizarre claim that America is living under tyranny. They call out the double standards of the legacy media and progressive elites, noting that policies executed under Trump spark outrage while identical actions under Biden are ignored—or celebrated. The hosts highlight the hypocrisy around military authority, judicial overreach, and the unhinged discourse from anti-Trump voices who’ve abandoned logic and consistency. The conversation then shifts to immigration, cultural decay, and the consequences of a political class that no longer respects American principles. They question whether Democrats are embracing far-left extremism at the cost of reason and national unity, citing recent political wins by anti-Israel, socialist candidates. The episode closes with a spirited debate over whether the country is reaching a cultural breaking point or if a common-sense majority still has the power to reclaim the narrative.Packed with humor, insight, and principled commentary, this episode is a must-listen for anyone concerned about where America is headed—and what it will take to save it.
In this special bonus edition of Andrew and Jerry Save the World, the hosts share two thought-provoking segments from their recent solo appearances on major platforms.First, Andrew Langer brings you his full presentation from FreedomFest 2025, where he explores the dangers of regulatory overreach in health care, the need for innovation-driven policy, and the urgent necessity of expanding the supply of physicians in America. He addresses everything from government interference in dialysis care to the threat of drug price controls and the economic consequences of regulatory bloat—calling for a principled, free-market approach to both health care and governance. Then, Jerry Rogers shares his guest spot on The Steve Gruber Show, where he discusses his recent piece, “It’s the Hospitals, Senator,” and breaks down how nonprofit hospital systems are driving up health care costs. Jerry calls for common-sense, bipartisan reforms like ending tax breaks for million-dollar hospital execs, enforcing price transparency, and ensuring patients aren’t penalized based on where care is delivered.Packed with insight, urgency, and real-world policy ideas, this bonus episode gives listeners a no-nonsense look at how to rescue America’s health care system from bureaucratic failure and cronyism.
In this bonus edition of Andrew and Jerry Save the World, Andrew kicks things off with a recent radio interview featuring co-host Jerry Rogers. The two dive into key healthcare and policy issues, including why tariffs on pharmaceuticals won’t raise prices in the short term, the importance of fixing the "pill penalty" embedded in the Inflation Reduction Act, and how Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) continue to inflate drug costs. They also take on the growing push from some conservatives to restrict SNAP benefits in the name of nutrition—warning that it’s a slippery slope toward surveillance and government overreach.Later in the episode, Andrew digs into the controversial Kilman-Abrego-Garcia case with guests Tim Head (Unified.US) and Will Chamberlain (Article III Project). They break down the facts, the legal realities of deportation policy, and whether Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen may have violated the Logan Act in his advocacy abroad. It’s a wide-ranging, punchy episode that delivers facts, context, and a healthy dose of common sense.
In this episode, Andrew Langer sits down with economist and American Action Forum President Doug Holtz-Eakin for a wide-ranging conversation on recent economic policy developments and their potential consequences. Holtz-Eakin expresses skepticism over the Biden Administration’s latest trade and tariff policies—what some dubbed “Liberation Day”—arguing they amount to a $500–$600 billion tax increase with damaging implications for economic growth, inflation, and America’s farming sector. The discussion pivots to regulatory policy, highlighting the staggering $1.8 trillion in regulatory costs added under President Biden, contrasted with the deregulatory success of the first Trump administration. Holtz-Eakin cautions against the current sequencing of economic policy—leading with tariffs instead of first tackling tax and regulatory reform—and emphasizes the importance of revisiting trade agreements to address unfair barriers facing American exporters, especially farmers. They also unpack recent moves to reduce the federal workforce. Holtz-Eakin critiques past approaches but supports the current plan empowering agency heads to make strategic, legally compliant cuts. He debunks myths about federal employment levels, noting they remain close to Reagan-era numbers, and argues that downsizing can be done responsibly—citing the Clinton-era example of 400,000 job reductions without major disruption. This is a must-listen for anyone interested in economic strategy, regulatory reform, and the inner workings of federal governance.
With Andrew filling in for a nationally-syndicated radio show and Jerry joining him for a couple of segments, they have time for an impromptu episode! They dive into the media-driven narrative surrounding mental health, political hysteria, and Donald Trump. Kicking off with Andrew’s recent appearance on Square Off, the duo deconstructs how legacy media’s alarmism is fueling anxiety and depression across America—not Trump himself. They unpack the latest legal developments in the case of an illegal immigrant living in Maryland being deported to El Salvidor, reigniting the debate over immigration, due process, and the constitutional powers of government. Andrew recounts a spirited online exchange and uses it to explain why understanding the limits of government authority is more essential than ever.Jerry joins the conversation to celebrate his birthday and to share thoughts on Trump’s strategic push to force judicial clarity on executive power, trade, and immigration. Together, they skewer media hyperbole (with a detour into the “Wheel of Trump” theory), dismantle Elizabeth Warren’s conspiracy claims on tariffs, and reflect on why today’s America is increasingly ill-equipped to handle crisis.
In this lively episode, Andrew and Jerry navigate the turbulent waters of America's trade policy and economic rhetoric. With markets fluctuating and political discourse at fever pitch, they dive into the confusion surrounding tariffs, trade wars, and the misinformation plaguing both Wall Street and Main Street. Jerry, editor at Real Clear Policy and Real Clear Health, reveals his trusted sources for cutting through political noise, emphasizing the importance of independent voices emerging on platforms like Substack. They tackle the contentious legacy of Reagan-era trade policies, unravel the complexity behind Trump's current economic moves, and discuss why free trade doesn't always mean fair trade—especially when dealing with geopolitical rivals like China. Andrew shares insights on how regulatory costs play a crucial yet overlooked role in economic health, arguing that tariffs can't be viewed in isolation.Beyond economics, Andrew and Jerry scrutinize broader political and strategic issues including proxy voting controversies in Congress, internal Republican power struggles, and why communication failures remain a stumbling block for the Trump administration. With sharp analysis and spirited debate, Episode 94 delivers clarity amidst the chaos.Tune in and get equipped to separate economic reality from political theater.

They talk about Patrick's career, the work of the Media Institute, and those who are championing free speech currently. After Patrick leaves, Andrew and Jerry talk a little more about the subject, and then turn to current events - talking about the nomination of Matt Gaetz for Attorney General (as well as other prominent Trump picks), the predictable caterwauling from the left and Never Trumpers, and why it's important for people to "keep their powder dry".
It's been a bit, and Andrew and Jerry are sorry, folks. Now that Andrew's not doing 5-day a week radio, we'll be better at posting regular episodes. WE PROMISE!But what better time than this week to come back with ALL NEW SHOWS??!! The results are finally in, and it's a TRIFECTA! Trump wins the presidency (handily), the GOP takes control of the Senate and maintains control of the House. Just what DOES this mean for the electorate, everyday Americans, and the world at large? Where do things stand with the transition... and have things finally calmed down with regards to the left's reaction to the election?Plus, what were the biggest mistakes on the part of the Democrats in this campaign? What do the Democrats need to do to have electoral success down the road? What do Republicans need to do to have the American people keep supporting them? You get it all here with the Andrew and Jerry Save The World Post-Election 2024 Special!
With Jerry on vacation and Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Maryland Governor Wes Moore doing an event in Maryland, Andrew sat down with Phil Kerpen from American Commitment, Commitment to Seniors, Unleash Prosperity, and the project, EndTheRaid.org! POTUS, VPOTUS, and their enabler, Wes Moore, were in Maryland to nominally "celebrate" the second anniverary of the ironically-named "Inflation Reduction Act". But in reality, the event was all about their gloating over so-called price "negotiations" for 10 major drugs. In this conversation, Andrew and Phil talk about why this wasn't a "negotitation", but really a demonstration of force by a government not actually out to solve problems, but to make an industry come to heel. They talk about the ancillary impacts of this, how this will stifle innovation and harm consumers in the long run. Plus, how the #IRA has made prices to higher for important goods, and Phil tells the story of how Biden and Harris used the IRA to raid Medicare to the tune of a QUARTER OF A BILLION dollars to fund the pork-barrel projects of their cronyist supporters.
Trump calls Kamala out for her seemingly-shifting heritage, but he's only echoing the sentiments of CNN and Mindy Kaling. What really happened at the National Association of Black Journalists' annual meeting? Did Trump have a melt down? And when is Kamala Harris going to actually do an interview with a reporter as she runs for President? Andrew and Jerry talk about the choice of JD Vance on the Trump ticket, and weigh the Democrats' potential VP choice. Plus, they go through the battleground state map to give their thoughts on the state of the race - given what Andrew and Jerry are predicting, who ultimately comes out on top. Plus, talk of the new Deadpool movie, they revisit Top Gun: Maverick, and songs that make you want to mash down on the gas pedal!
With the Director of the Secret Service testifying (badly) before Congress today, Andrew and Jerry decided to combine their parallel interviews with Susan Crabtree, a reporter for Real Clear Politics who covers the White House, but for whom the US Secret Service has long been a "beat". Andrew interviewed her on Friday, July 19, fresh off of the Republican National Convention, while Jerry interviewed her on Sunday, July 21st. They cover what we've now learned about the assassination attempt on President Trump, the failures of the Secret Service that day, and (as it is readily becoming clear) the lies that Secret Service management have been telling the American public as a way to avoid culpability!
We're well-past the debate, and with an attempt on his life on Saturday and the announcement of a Vice-Presidential candidate pick on Monday with the RNC beginning in Milwaukee, Andrew and Jerry are back and ready to break it all down. The violent rhetoric continues, and they explore the history of how rhetoric leads to action. One side believes that violence is a form of speech (and that speech is a form of violence)--and one side already attempted to breach the Secret Service protection of President Trump at the White House (yet nobody is talking about it!). With the RNC kicking off, Andrew and Jerry talk about the first night--the message being sent, and how well that message is being communicated. And just what DOES JD Vance mean for the ticket? Andrew and Jerry disagree on this score, and they start talking about the electoral map shaping up for the fall. This is an episode that you cannot miss!
Hunter Biden is convicted of a series of felonies and the major media uses this as an opportunity to prop up the Bidens. But this is but one example of the rope-a-dope being played against the American people. Jerry tells a story about the collapse of the rule of law visiting upon his family in a very personal way. This leads into a discussion of the two-tiered system of justice in America and the weaponization of the law for politics, and how the flowering of lawfare today had its seeds planted during the Obama years: Operation Choke Point, the harassment and prosecution of Chris Christie and his aides - and how that prosection laid the groundwork for using a financial services law (Sarbanes-Oxley) to go after J6 rioters (and those who were merely "Rioter adjacent"). Speaking of J6 - video has surfaced (finally) of Nancy Pelosi taking responsibility for the chaos on Capitol Hill on January 6, and this leads to a discussion of coups and insurrection, and the affirmative undermining of a presidency by people in the bureaucracy. And the Supreme Court rules, in another 9-0 decision, that the FDA's approval of an abortion drug can stand. But this will not quell the left's lies about the court having an out-of-control ideological slant. Finally, Andrew talks about his high school reunion - and how the potentially well-meaning implementation of "diversity" policies and programs can lead to intense divisions in a community years later.

THAT COMMENT ON BEING COLOR-BLIND COMING FULL CIRCLE, IF SOCIETY MAKES IT THAT FAR... AND THE COMMENT, "JESUS IS COMING"... WAS OVER THE TOP. WOO-HOOHOO!
