Domestic Violence and HIV/AIDS intersect and most people find that surprising. Abusers are usually promiscuous and move around from one relationship to another. Sometimes having multiple relationships.
How does this play into how the STATUS of HIV/AIDS become a part of the conversation?
It is very important to know where you STAND.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month....how much media attention have you seen this month? Are you advised of programs or activities in your community to help you become aware of what it looks like? Have you seen any colors of purple circulating to bring up the question of why this color is being worn?
Let's talk about it and how you can help bring awareness one person at a time!!!
#DVAM
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. There are so many people who are survivors of domestic abuse and dealing with the residual effects of this type of trauma. Some unfortunately are still in abusive relationships and looking to hear some way of how to come out.
Domestic Abuse and Domestic Violence is a spiritual warfare and we are going in prayer to seek help for anyone who are being abused.
We have some powerful prayer warriors that will be on the line to pray for all who may be in abusive relationships.
We are praying also for the abusers as well....everyone is in need of covering in prayer.
If you are in an abusive relationship, or the abuser you don't want to miss this prayer time to cover you and lift you t GOD on your behalf....JOIN US!
October is the month supposedly set aside for Domestic Violence Awareness. However, it is also Breast Cancer Awareness and the issue of Domestic Abuse and Domestic Violence is overshadowed.
It is very important that we push to keep domestic violence on the plate of medias through whatever means are available to you. It is an epidemic and seriously out control and destroying families and relationships.
Join us as we share information regarding what you can do this month to support advocates who are against domestic violence and fighting to make sure that it is kept on the front and not the back burner.
The news has been inundated with stories of domestic violence and domestic abuse in the past few weeks. Mainly focusing on the NFL. However, there are everyday women/men enduring this abuse daily and there voices need to be heard as well.
Although those of us who advocate against domestic violence appreciate the attention, but who will walk it out after the media stop making it their "BREAKING NEWS!?"
The month of October is coupled with Breast Cancer Awareness and usually overshadowed. It is a very important cause as well. We request that each of you in your respective space...learn something just one thing about what the signs of domestic abuse and domestic violence looks like.
It does not matter where you get the information but once you learn something share it with others.
Rihanna, Evelyn Lozada were abused and publcly ashamed in the media but for all of the wrong reasons. They were victims and did not receive the sympathetic media hits as Janay Palmer is receiving. Why did it take a FIST to knock a woman UNCONSCIOUS for the media to find it IMPORTANT enough to place on their REPLAY! REPLAY! REPLAY! Breaking News Feed?
Rihanna is a young woman who was badly battered and displayed classic symptoms of a woman defined as: Battered Woman Syndrome. However, there were no Anchorwomen, movie stars, football wives/girlfriends coming forth to say that DOMESTIC VIOLENCE MUST BE EXPOSED AND STOPPED.
Kerry Washington has a Purple Purse Campaign when did this start? Meredith Vieira now shares WHY SHE STAYED in her abusive relationship.
What am I saying.....WHEN ANY ONE WOMAN OR MAN IS ABUSED EVERYONE SHOULD BE UPSET and VERY UPSET. Domestic Abuse and Domestic Violence is wiping out families and it seems that only when it is CONVENIENT people are raising their voices. Miss America had a world platform to discuss this epidemic...but after the fact she mentions that she was abused....Meredith talks about how her CAREER played into her continuous abuse.
WE must come to a clear logic place to UNDERSTAND that what is in place DOES NOT SEEM TO WORK!
Domestic Abuse and Domestic Violence comes from a SPIRITUAL place and the only way to ERADICATE it is to deal with the spirit (innerman) to CURE IT!
We are going in deep tonight....and talk about this in the RAW!
Why does it seem that voices are being heard and people are discussing how upset they are about the Rice Domestic Violence case?
There are other victims in the news abused and battered as well...but the coverage by media take was less to none.
Does it really take seeing a man punch a woman so hard that it knocks her unconscious, before we acknowledge that there is a serious problem?
What are you going to do about the men/women who are not shown being cold-ccoked in an elevator? are you upset w
Why are you upset that this young woman married a man who literally could have killed her with that punch?
Let's talk about it!
There are several ways that one can be abused, mentally, emotionally, psychologically and verbally. A myth is that you are not being abused unless physical evidence is proven.
However, the emotional damage that can come from the abuses that are not physical can be devastating and hard to prove for victims of abuse. What can you do?
Let's talk about it....
Domestic Violence is real and entire families are being wiped-out because of it. Innocent children are being killed for no reason, fathers are taking out the entire family through murder-suicides.
Why does it seem to be increasing instead of decreasing with all of the organizations that are available with resources? What is.....does not work, there must be a new strategy put in place and incorporated. The spirit-man must be restored from the inside out.....brokenness, depression, low self-esteem,traumas from childhood all spill over into the adult life and are volatile if not resolved.
Do you know who you are allowing to come into your personal space? How do you know if they are right for you and your future...will you have a future?
Let's face hard truths that can help you make a better decision.
DENIAL
Denial at it's most basic is saying something hasn't happened. It is extremely sick, and extremely powerful. It is the way that we can commit abuse and still live with ourselves. It allows us to continue being abusive by staying in the sick place, and by allowing us to hide our sickness from others so that we can maintain the abusive situation for a longer period of time.
We lie to others, and most devastatingly, we lie to ourselves. The major tactics we use in maintaining our denial are minimizing, rationalizing, and justifying. The effect of these tactics is to redefine what happened, what is acceptable, and what is harmful in such a way that ultimately any act, no matter how hideous, can be carried out.

How many people do you know, or do not know are walking around seemingly doing well and are troubled with depression?
They look normal but battle sometimes in a terrible place of silence.
What can you do to help them?

At the age 24, I was involved in a terrible car accident. I sustained a spinal cord injury and was paralyzed from my neck down. The Doctor’s gave me 0% chance of recovering from my injuries. My parents were strongly advised to place me into a nursing home because I would need to use life support machines for the rest of my life. After 5 years of prayer, sweat and tears, I was able to stand up and walk again. My story was written to encourage as well as inspire anyone who faces adversity to never give up. This book details actual events that occurred from the scene of the accident, the trauma unit and rehabilitation.
Robin Thomas is a survivor of odds seemingly being stacked against her but her spirit of determination and strength is a testimony to what GOD can do OVER what the doctors say. Join us as we share in this young lady's beautiful journey of healing and perseverance.
Domestic Abuse for an adult is complicated and hard to comprehend and digest. How is it that an adult can be abusive to a "toddler?" They are the most INNOCENT, creatures on this earth and has a clean slate that has not been tarnished and is exposed to domestic abuse......it is INCOMPREHENSIBLE, DEPLORABLE, and most ASSININE, thing one could do to a child.
There are several videos via the internet that shows how horrific this act is deliberately perpetrated on innocent children. What can you do about it?
Who should you tell if you see it? Where can you find help for the child/children?
When should you speak up? How can you prevent it from happening?

Domestic Abuse and the Effects of REJECTION!
The word "rejection" without any descriptive suggest alienation, isolation and pain. How does rejection from a parent inflict trauma, and pain on a child?
The supposed natural order of a mother is to love her child/children but as we see more and more in this day and time this is not always the case of a natural love for the off-spring of a parent. What can you do when you feel that your mother the person that brought you into the world "rejects" you and also by your siblings.
We are going to speak with Dr. Carolyn Sutton, Author of ' REJECTED BY MEN' BUT CHOSEN BY GOD, as she share her story of rejection.
You will hear how all along GOD has purpose for her life through it ALL. Her story will encourage and inspire you to know that GOD is always there and will bring "purpose" from your pain.
This is a very inspiring book about the author's story of rejection and resiliency! Her book is available at www.amazon.com.
The question comes up quite often regarding domestic abuse and those who survive it. "Did you choose to be abused?" It may seem to be a harsh question to ask a survivor and really asinine to ask this question.
However, if you do not understand how domestic abuse slips into your world and begin to tear at your very core. Yes, maybe the quesiton should be asked.
We will share how one may choose it and more important how not to choose it.
Conscious-decision is very important in which relationship you will choose. Are you choosing one that will set you up to be abused or choosing to be in a "healthy" relationship?
A triad of very early development factors produce an abusive personality.
1. Witnessing abuse in the family of origin.
2. Being ashamed by a parent.
3. Being insecurely attached to a parent through their erratic emotional availability.
The full development of the abusive personality may be formed over time but the direction is set early on.
These are just a few of the factors in developing an abuser male or female.
Join us as we discuss how these factors manifest themselves in later adult relationships.
Domestic Abuse and Domestic Violence has a unique way of effecting everyone differently. There are some people who seem to have healed in a very short time and there are others who seem to not be over it 30-40 years later.
What can you do to heal from this trauma and what resources are available to you and for you to recover and move on to a more progressive and healthy life?
Join me as we speak with Evangelist Eureka Mason of "NO Self Sabotage Ministries" with a vision to see more individuals confident and excited about WHOSE they are and WHO they are in Christ
