In the past week - Australia went after Kinokuniya, a publisher of manga and forced them to stop selling manga.
Well, it's more like they "pressured" Kinokuniya into taking certain manga off their shelves.

NHK the news website in Japan was called out for spreading propaganda relating to the black lives matter movement.
The anime video portayed black people in a false light, claiming they're protesting because of wealth inequality. When in reality it's about #georgefloyd and the police brutality that took place.

Hentai and anime aren't the same thing, but because the designs are similar - people use it to JUDGE anime. And make false acussations about anime as a medium.
To a degree it's degrading the popularity of anime because of preconceptions and being unwilling to associate with the anime industry.

Not all anime shows have cliche fan service, perverted jokes, tropes and insane violence.
Some anime pull this off without being too childish or watered down. And these are the clean anime shows I'll be recommending.

Anime voice actors are now being impacted by the #coronavirus outbreak. And haven't been paid for past performances.
What happens next and how the anime industry deals with it in 2020 is anyone's guess. It all depends on how long this lasts.
Anime is misunderstood. Sometimes on purpose, other times because of misinformation and haters.
There's a grey area though. Some people act like they misunderstand it to fit an agenda.

Tower Of God is almost here, April 1st is the release date on Crunchyroll.
I can't say too much because I have an NDA with Crunchyroll (Anime Motivation partner), but from what I've seen it looks good.
The art feels kinda fresh, and the episodes are gonna be good too. Whether the entire anime will be "mind blowing" is another story.
I'm not optimistic in seeing it become one of the biggest anime's of the year, awards or otherwise, but anything is possible. #Coronavirus may or may not interfere depending on how long this lasts for.
