Annette's Heart of the Country

If you have a love for good country music, Annette’s Heart of the Country is the show for you! Featuring country music from New Zealand artists and beyond, Annette also features interviews from popular international artists, and local kiwi musicians. The last half hour of this weekly show is the 'Irish Country Showcase'. There are so many great artists coming out of Ireland that they deserve their own special section!

Annette has loved country music for as long as she can remember and has a passion for sharing this love with others! Lamenting that there was not enough country on air, especially here in New Zealand, when the opportunity arose to put together her own country music show Annette leapt at the chance.

Having met famous country music stars such as Daniel O’Donnell, Mary Duff, Isla and Al Grant, The Irish Rovers and Charlie Landsborough (just to name a few) Annette has rubbed shoulders with some of country's greats.

Annette’s musical talent is impressive, learning to both read music and play the guitar and accordion by ear at an early age. This talent ensures that Annette knows good music when she hears it, and finds real joy in sharing this music with others.
