Description

emma prefers to share her thoughts with a microphone rather than a physical human being, so thank god she has a podcast. recorded from the comfort of her bed...and some other fun places, emma talks at length about whatever is on her mind every week. anything really does go on this podcast. sometimes philosophy, sometimes a random story from 10 years ago, sometimes advice, sometimes fun interviews, and sometimes nothing at all. you never know what you are going to get, but that’s what keeps it interesting. new episodes every thursday and sunday, video available only on spotify.

i've talked a lot publicly about my imposter syndrome because it's something that i've struggled with since i was a teenager. but i had sort of an epiphany recently that imposter syndrome isn't really a relevant struggle for me in my life anymore. it's definitely still a challenge, but it's just not as big of a deal as it used to be for me. and i think i figured out how i overcame it. so that's what i wanna discuss today - how i fixed my imposter syndrome. [video available on spotify]  you know what i'm a victim of? misinformation on the internet. a headline from a non-reputable source that says turmeric will cure your depression, i'm clicking. there's a whole lot of hearsay on the internet and none of us are safe from it. so today i have a treat for all of us - wendy zukerman, host of the hit podcast science vs - a show that takes a topic and lays all the science out on the table. today, we're going to answer some science questions that i have because wendy's like a walking scientific journal. so sit back, relax, and enjoy miss wendy.   Learn more about your ad choices. cringe, a talk with emma

cringe, a talk with emma

2024-02-2527:423

recently i've been thinking about cringe. i can look at something and be like, that's cringe. i can do something and be like, “emma, that was cringe.” but i rarely ask myself why. i don't think it's possible to completely avoid being cringe, but i feel like understanding what makes something cringe may be beneficial. and also investigating whether or not cringe is always bad. so today, i'm going to be investigating what makes something cringe, and when cringe is bad versus when cringe is maybe good Learn more about your ad choices. [video available on spotify] to be human today is to be stressed out, which is why i'm excited to be talking to dr. aditi nerurkar about stress. she's a harvard physician and lecturer, and a nationally recognized stress expert. she's also the author of the “the 5 resets: rewire your brain and body for less stress and more resilience.” dr. aditi is very aware of the way that modern technology meets our brains to create a high stress world. she speaks to me in a way that i can understand so that i can apply the things that she discusses into my life, which means i can slay harder because isn't that what it's all about? without further ado, let me present to you dr. aditi nerurkar. find dr. nerurkar's book on her website: https://www.draditi.com/ Learn more about your ad choices. this episode is going to come as a shock to many of you because many of you know me as a fashion lover. i recently became obsessed with the idea of dressing in a uniform. my default mode of getting dressed in the morning is putting something new on every day. i've flirted with the idea of a uniform before when i did my series on minimalism a few months back, but at the time it was something that i felt wasn't realistic for me. recently though, there's been a shift in my brain, and i'm taking this idea much more seriously. so let’s discuss the pros and cons of dressing in a uniform. [video available on spotify]  a couple of weeks ago, i made the decision that i was going to get laser hair removal, and i was referred to kristina kitsos. she's so incredibly knowledgeable about all of the popular treatments today, from botox, to filler, to anything you can imagine. kristina is a multi-specialty trained registered nurse with over 15 years of experience working in the field of minimally invasive aesthetic medicine. she's doing the botox and the filler. she's not doing the brazilian butt lift surgery - she's not a plastic surgeon. whether we like it or not, it's the beauty standard nowadays to have botox, to have filler, or to have a facelift. and i find myself constantly confused about where i stand on it. i think today's conversation is gonna help me come to a clearer conclusion and maybe you, too. so i'm very excited to introduce you to kristina kitsos. i had an epiphany recently and it's been really fascinating because it's about a belief that i've had that i wasn't fully conscious of. the subconscious belief that i've carried almost my whole life is that people who are harder to get are better. people who are harder to get can provide more value in my life. this is a belief that if i had spoken it sooner, i would've demolished it sooner because i know in my conscious brain that it’s not true. but for some reason, i've always believed that. oh boy. do i have a story for you? yeah, i do. i have a story for you and i can almost promise you that i'm not gonna have another scary story to tell you for a few years because this doesn't happen to me very often. so don't get used to this. this is like a rare treat for all of us. so without further ado, let me walk you through something that happened to me a few days ago. [video available on spotify] today, i'm going to be talking fashion with the only person i wanna talk about fashion with, jared ellner, my stylist and fashion soulmate. i've always been into fashion, and i truly believe that my relationship with jared has allowed me to explore fashion with less of someone who's telling me what to do, and rather a partner in crime. we are true collaborators. i can't wait for you to hang out with jared because, my god, i love hanging out with him. he’s my bestie. so enjoy jared and don't take it for granted because he's a rare fruit. emma's tiktok for garage magazine: https://www.tiktok.com/@garage_magazine/video/6805544530939579653?lang=en emma's streamy award outfit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YqFCqg7DF7I Learn more about your ad choices. a few weeks ago, i was talking to a loved one, and they were talking about how easy it is to make ambient music. i said i wish i knew how to make ambient music, but there's no way i would figure it out. and they were like, emma, it's so easy, you can learn how to do it. and i realized, i have a problem. i have all these poisonous thoughts floating around my head about why i can't teach myself how to make ambient music. and i realized that that was a limiting belief. i've explored the topic of limiting beliefs a little, but i’ve never really dug into it until now. so that’s what we’re going to be discussing today.  Learn more about your ad choices. apparently, all the cool kids have been discussing what they think is going to be in this year, and what they think is going to be out. normally i find out about these conversations three months late through instagram reels, and in really dark times, youtube shorts. but not this time. emma finally gets to participate in the trendy conversation that's happening. so in this episode, i'm gonna share what i think is going to be in in 2024. Hello Emma hope you have a great journey ahead. I just started to listen to your podcasts and this episode was my first. So i wanna to tell you i'm really proud of you for telling about your quitting nicotine journey and also having the courage to talk about it. I'm also having addiction and i say you, i really had about a hundred time i had relapse but you know i'm still struggling to get rid of it. The best way out is always through, as Robert Frost say. I also suggest you to read the book Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, Matthew Perry. Wish you that day. ❤️🌹

The hole in the concept of karma without reincarnation is compensated when you think the world as a unite and whole thing, and everybody and everything in it , is essentially from one consciousness, then whatever you do ( good or bad) you’re doing it to yourself.

I am absolutely obsessed with Emma Chamberlain! She's such a breath of fresh air in the world of content creators. What I love most about her is that she's unapologetically herself, and she's not afraid to be goofy, candid, and relatable. https://www.scooploop.com/business/sticker-printing-pros Her vlogs are like a window into her life, and it's so refreshing to see someone who doesn't try to portray a perfect image all the time. Emma's authenticity is what makes her so endearing to her audience, including myself. https://www.yelp.com/biz/nyc-packaging-solution-brooklyn
