Today I was joined by Dr Phil Price. EP 011: Overcoming Self-limiting beliefs and learning to learn with Jason Woods.

In today’s episode, I am joined by Jason Woods. Jason is a Sport & Exercise Science student with a keen longstanding interest in sports psychology. Jason’s insights into sport’s psychology were great and he had a wealth of techniques and practical applications to take away from this episode.  We discuss: Jason and my own experiences in mental and physical training.   We talk about the first step in learning anything. Which is learning to learn. Jason explains where to start with learning. We discuss growth and fixed mindsets and how it relates back to learning and questioning our self-beliefs. We look at how past experiences guide our current beliefs. The power in failure as a catalyst for improvement.   We move into looking at traditional issues within learning and sports and self-limiting beliefs. The role emotion plays in memory and our limits. Planting doubt around negative beliefs to start a transition mentally.   Jason introduces some techniques we can use to start changing our self-limiting beliefs.   Connecting your goals to your deeper why and who you want to be.   We shift into talking about practical applications We start by discussing how to start learning something new.
