The forthcoming digital EP on Apparel Tronic ( APLTRONIC024 ) is the outcome of the work between two artists who form a creative pair but insist on not being defined as a duo. CK722 & Camillo Dal Forno, prefer to describe their practice as two distinct voices converging into a shared space. In this context, Trieste explores a surreal underwater landscape told through the perspective of the legendary eponymous bathyscaphe. Designed in Switzerland, built in Italy, and later serving in the United States Navy between 1958 and 1971, the Trieste became a symbol of human curiosity when it descended to the bottom of the Mariana Trench in 1960, setting a depth record of 10,902 meters (35,768 feet). The EP translates that historic descent into sound, through four short but dense tracks: a fast immersion into discovery. Each track mirrors stages of this subaquatic journey, and textures unfold like sonar waves bouncing off invisible walls, basslines resonate as deep mechanical pulses, and melodies shimmer with the glow of organisms hidden underwater. The narrative is not one of nostalgia but of renewed wonder, and the record invites the audience to descend alongside: a sonic echo of the Trieste ’s daring plunge into the unknown.

Robotnik3000 & Spinnage bring their smooth and soulful energy to our beloved Apparel Radio frequencies, with a mix full of deep grooves and refined textures, celebrating their forthcoming record Sensual Waves EP. You can expect a journey through jazzy rhythms, warm synths and classy underground moods, just like their cross-continental chemistry between Tokyo and Europe. Perfect vibes for a late-night ride.

You can’t really pin down Plaisance, and that’s exactly the point. Fresh off their debut Coldie EP on Apparel, the French duo step into our 261th episode of the Apparel Radio series with a mix that feels like their music: somewhere between Paris nights and a Chicago basement, equal parts elegance and raw groove. We’re thrilled to welcome Manzo Edits on our label’s cable mix series, dedicated to record labels and their owners. The new episode is curated by the Manzo Edits, a vinyl-only imprint started by Black Pomade in 2023, focused on cheeky, club-ready reworks that pack punch and groove without overcomplicating things. Each release features a tight selection of dubby edits, often rooted in obscure disco, Italian oddities, and sample-heavy funk cuts. While the label has deep roots in Italy and Portugal, support from DJs and collectors has been strong in many other places, including Japan and the UK. Based in Fukuoka Japan, DJ/producer BRISA started his career in 1997 after being strongly influenced by acid jazz and house music in the 1990s. The Interstate 55 project was born of a friendship between two young students, Chris and Alex, at a warehouse party in South Chicago in 1995. Press correspondents for Coda and Trax Magazine between Chicago and Paris, the two guys helped promote the Underground sound in Europe, interviewing some of the greatest legends: Paul Johnson, Cajmere, Derrick Carter, Dance Mania Crew and more. 25 years after the most beautiful private parties, Alex returns to the mix to promote the underground once again, through various Radio Shows on SoundCloud, with current tones and the launch of a label planned for next year. Gregorio Marigliano is a Rome born, Berlin raised producer, that for his intimi and fans goes by the name of Dr. Sud. His music is percussion centered with integrated jazz harmony, his style borrowing influences from different genres such as electronica, funk and house, to create a blend unique to his productions.
