It’s for anyone looking past the top news stories for understanding of our US Constitution. The original Federalist Papers were written to provide reason for support of our nation. I hope this will communicate the same to you with fresh eyes.

Highlights Hamilton's belief that those who hold the Constitution and our Republic most dear should be governing on a Federal level.
This episode quotes Thomas Paine's Common Sense.  Biographical information on Thomas Paine, his ideals, and the effect on events in the mid to late 1700s.  "These are the times that try men's souls." 
George Mason and Samuel Adams participated in writings against the Federalist Papers.  They wanted to avoid a monarchy and secure states' rights.  This led to debate and compromise..and the Bill of Rights.

Letter 12 of the Federalist Papers reviews Hamilton's thoughts on the revenue of our new nation.
This episode proves Publius’ point that a Navy was definitely needed. In the beginning of the 19th century, we defended our coasts from the Gulf of Mexico all the way up the Atlantic to Canada, and we protected our trade during bitter battles along the Barbary Coast. 
Federalist Papers issue 11 is Alexander Hamilton’s argument for one United Navy to accompany the one United Federal Government proposed in the Constitution. 
Madison advises a Federal government as a way to stop factions - by either removing their causes or controlling their effects.  {This is take 2 of a previous (deleted)  episode} 
Madison’s wisdom on the liberty of not allowing a remedy to be worse than a disagreeable faction in our Constitutional Republic. 
This is quick look at George Washington, the athlete and dancer.  He was great on the ballroom floor! (Minuet) He loved his kennel full of dogs and respected his loyal slave/companion, Billy Lee, whom he freed in his last will and testament. 
A look at Alexander Hamilton as Publius defending our Constitution by highlighting the philosophy of Montesquieu.  In this letter of The Federalist Papers, he wants people to understand that a confederate republic will guard against insurrection and despotism, and that a republic would be better than other models of governance. 
Revolutionary items explored in this episode trace the battles and music of Lucius Chapin, Jefferson’s reason for war, including The Intolerable Acts, and the true legend of Molly Pitcher. 
Hamilton’s reasoning for states being one united country includes territory, debt and trite squabbles. 
This episode goes back to the settlement times of Pennsylvania and Connecticut, John Winthrop Senior and Junior and the charters created in hopes of religious freedom in the 1600s. We look at the Massachusetts Bay Company and struggles between PA and CT for fertile and peaceful land in what later becomes The United States.
