I am not an expert. This podcast is here to share my experiences with you and inspire you to know yourself better and grow. If you are looking for an expert on life and how to solve your problems, do not listen to this podcast. If you want to start to define yourself better and grow, you came to the right place. Keeping an open mind and learning to take what resonates and leave the rest is what is encouraged here.
In this episode, we are going to talk less about the chakras, and more about the ideas that have been revealed. We discuss the sacral chakra in prep for the next episode. I am no expert on yoga, chakras, or spirituality. However, I do think that this will be the foundational concept for the transitional episodes where we take a break from the conversations about working practically, and get a little more broad in the overall discussion. This episode discusses interpersonal relations, pity, empathy, and more. Stay tuned until the end if you want to hear me confronting what sounded like a peeping tom outside my window! Ironically, right after talking about fear, something happened that made me momentarily confront my own fear. Great way to wrap up the episode. Take care!
Today I felt grounded much more quickly than I did the previous day. Something is clearly working here. On this episode, I am discussing the feelings and visualizations that I experienced in my second day of my 21 day yoga mission to ascend up the chakra system. If I reach enlightenment and float away, then I will do my best to let you know. Jokes aside, today we also discuss foods that are defined as balancing for the root chakra. Remember, too much or not enough of something can be detrimental, see scurvy and vitamin see and also see vitamin c overloading causing a sick belly. The point is both are extremes and the opposite of balance. If you want balance in your life, it might make more sense to start by balancing on one leg in the Vrikshasana (tree) pose. Take care, and I hope these words find you well.
In today's episode, I am diving into my personal experiences around working on the root chakra. The music I played, the yoga poses I worked on, and the mindset and conceptualizations that I was able to find while in this state. At the end of the episode, I talk more about how and why I am doing this, why it is important to me, and why I think these episodes are important to share.
Today's episode is a foundational episode regarding the root chakra. The chakra system is said to be integral to our wellbeing and daily life. Many people ignore this and that is ok. If you want to join me on a journey to learn more about the chakra system, yoga, and how we can improve our lives via concepts around the chakra system, please join me by listening in to this first episode on the foundational chakra. Your root chakra feeds energy to the rest of your chakras. If the root is not properly aligned, you could deal with issues across the whole system of chakras. Today we establish that understanding to build off of for the next episodes to come.
A basic discussion of thoughtfulness, what it is, and how to cultivating mindfulness and thoughtfulness for people, including yourself, is critical.
Sometimes life punches us right in the face. The understanding that everyone else also gets punched right in the face will help us all stay humble. This is a more personal episode about how life is punching me right in the face right now. Hope you enjoy!
Today I want to take a moment and appreciate freedom for what it truly is. Freedom is a mental state. Freedom is of the mind. In order to be free, one must choose to be. I hope you choose to be free yourself. 🎼 “Won’t you help to sing These songs of freedom?” Bob Marley. Take care and Be Free #LoveThyself #KnowThyself
This is a confusing and challenging concept at face value. Once you get into it, it may open your eyes to behavior that leads to decisions you make. Some of these decisions may serve your higher purpose. Others might be pulling you away from your higher purpose. The main thing to remember is we each have our own opinions, needs and desires in life. The more we can respect each other with this knowledge, the more understanding we will gain for our own mind. Time, nowness and presence in the moment. Let’s talk about meditation and how we can use the concept of now to be more present to the moment. My old mantra: “I am. Being. Presence. Now.” New mantra: “I am healing. I am learning to fulfill my needs in this presence of healing. Being attached to pleasure and pain makes me human. Now I must learn to accept this.” Thank you for taking the time to listen to another episode of the Eclectic Armchair podcast. Godspeed and namasté.
How to reduce a statement or idea to its most simplistic form for easier sharing. The first idea I should try this with is the title of this writing. But the insight I just had - like how even fractions can be divided by two - if the idea involves me and someone else, (two or more people = is like even number of people) divide it by two. It’s not a science, it’s a concept so far. Their might be a better way to represent 3 people, but for now we are going to focus on 1 person or more people than just the self as the do modes. 1 person - be as complex as you want. Perhaps this is true; the more people involved, the more simple the idea should be for effective sharing. So what that’s means is every time there are more people added to a group, the speaker talking to that group will serve them better if the idea they share is reduced to a more simple form. And the content they share is reduce or defined and adhered to. When sharing with others, don’t jump tracks and connect things abstract unless it has been simplified. And even then, you run a risk of going off the path you were originally discussing. So take a sentence, paragraph, or speech and find if there is one idea or many ideas. Make them simple for effective sharing. Rinse and repeat. This is an empathic and effective way to be HEARD! If I’m alone I don’t have to divide by two, but when I’m with others I do. I can say the same things with half he words. Half the sentences.
