In this episode we look back on the brilliant 4-1 North London derby win on Sunday afternoon. We chat about the team line-up in the absence of Gabriel and with MikelMerino up front, and yet another goal from Leandro Trossard to put us 1-0 up. Then attention turns to Eberechi Eze whose hat-trick was the major talking point of the day. There's so much 'narrative' around him, but a big player delivered in a big, and very rare, way for Arsenal in this fixture. We also enjoy the performance of players like Declan Rice, Jurrien Timber and Bukayo Saka, the overall fun you get from winning a game like this against opposition who set out to frustrate but ultimately fell way, way short. There are questions about Rice, Trossard, rotation for the Bayern Munich game on Wednesday, some Tifo chat and LOADS more good stuff as we smashed the Spuds. In this episode I'm joined by Tom Canton to chat about the Interlull goings-on. We begin on a positive note after former Gunner Kieran Tierney had a moment to remember for Scotland, before we delve into the Gabriel injury and the subsequent reporting around how predicted absence. How much can you 'blame' the player, and how do managers find the balance when someone says they can play. We chat about what we'll miss with him at the heart of our defence, as well as the options to replace him, Eberechi Eze's role in midfield, whether Gabriel Jesus can have an impact this season after his long injury absence looks set to end, a loan move mooted for Ethan Nwaneri in January, the upcoming schedule, and LOTS more.Follow Tom's YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/@TheGoonerTalkTVGet a Goodly Morning mug here: https://p1r.es/GoodlyMorningMugGet extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode we look back on the 2-2 draw with Sunderland on Saturday evening. Arsenal fell behind in a scrappy first half, but goals from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard put us ahead before the home side grabbed a late equaliser. We discuss the goals we scored, but particularly the ones we conceded, as they have been so rare of late. For once the defending was found wanting, but could Mikel Arteta have done more with his bench, making just one very late change to try and hold onto the lead. We look at this draw in the context of where we are in the table and what the team has done recently, before answering listener questions about a title race with Man City, Eberechi Eze, which injured players we're most looking forward to having back, Ben White's lack of game time, some 666 related evil, and lots more.Vote for Arseblog in the Best Fan Media category for the FSA awards 2025: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/fsa-awards-2025Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode of the Arsenal Women Arsecast, Tim and Jamie discuss Sunday's 4-1 win at Leicester and consider how much of a step forward the performance and result are. There is discussion of Stina Blackstenius' five star display and how Arsenal exploited space around the sides of Leicester's back three, the performance of Taylor Hinds at right-back and use of Russo as more of a second striker than a 10. We chat about Mikel Arteta's team selection, which saw 10 changes from the team that beat Crystal Palace on Sunday, and included a 15 year old and a 17 year old debutant. We discuss the game, the performance, the draw for the next round, Arsenal's defensive record and lots more. Then, on the reissue of his book about Highbury, I chat to Jon Spurling about the old stadium, its place in Arsenal hearts and the community, some of the stories within the book itself, and how it all relates to the new stadium. In this episode we look back on the 1-0 win Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon. An Eberechi Eze goal against his former club was enough for three points, on another day when Arsenal kept a clean sheet and didn't allow a shot on target [the stats are lying to you!]. We discuss the performances of both sides in a game that wasn't a classic but was exactly the kind you need to win if you want to become champions. There's discussion of open play goals versus reliance on set-pieces, and listener questions about Ethan Nwaneri, Viktor Gyokeres, how much Arteta will rotate for the EFL Cup game on Wednesday, the importance of Gabriel and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode we look back on the 1-0 win over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday evening. It wasn't a classic but we got the job done thanks to a Leandro Trossard goal in the second half. We discuss the way the game panned out, a slow start turning into Arsenal dominance more or less, another set-piece goal, the penalty incident, and a brilliant performance from Bukayo Saka. In part two we answer questions about scoring from corners and how much they've played a part so far this season, the possible influence of Gabriel Heinze on our defence, the title race thus far and which of Liverpool or Man City poses the most threat, Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres still coming to terms with their new surroundings, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. In this episode we look back at Arsenal's 2-0 win over West Ham on Saturday. We chat about excitement at seeing Martin Odegaard and Eberechi Eze together in midfield, but that was short lived after the captain picked up an injury. His replacement, Martin Zubimendi had a big impact, and we talk about him, Riccardo Calafiori, Declan Rice scoring against his former club, Bukayo Saka scoring on his 200th Premier League appearance after he took charge when we were awarded a penalty. West Ham offered very little, and we reflect on being top of the table, before we answer listener questions about the atmosphere inside the ground for these kinds of games, Viktor Gyokeres after he made it six games without a goal in a week that looked perfect for him to add to his tally, Odegaard's recent run of injuries, media coverage of our season so far, and lots more.Get extra bonus content and help support Arseblog by becoming an Arseblog Member on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseblog Hosted on Acast. greatest intro ever
if anyone reads this Arteta did mention the before in the league cup
Too cynical about England in this one I think. You can only beat the team in front of you whether it's in the 1st minute or 90th minute. Same outcome.
Where we should answer your qoestion about ben white in site?I can’t find it

I think they have postponed football because of policing numbers with all the events around the country
Love the #passionedition of Arsecast this week. Even if we didn’t get the 3 points. COYG!
James has a great voice that was actually really fantastic!
Great show. Enjoy to listen every episode each week. By the way the discussion on Man City was more like a jealousy analysis 😜 it's ok to justify our situation. Hope to back on the track of winning trophies soon
