We're back, my TOEIC lovers! Omg, it's been such a long time! One episode a month?! Shameful. I apologize, but I don't have many TOEIC learners following/requesting for me to do videos! Nonetheless, you know there's a Patreon badge available for all exclusive/now content, so if you want coaching and have goals to achieve and can't wait for an episode a month, join it!Nonetheless, in today's Tactic Practice, I really want to talk about infinitives, main verbs, past participles, present participles and action verbs. Knowing all of these will score you ridiculously high up in the grammar section. It's basic, too....because of my previous knowledge with TOEFL iTP and taking that test 30 times (fortunate but annoying)....I can now dissect these TOEIC questions with ease. If you need to listen/watch this ten times, go ahead! Because if you can understand the meaning behind this, you're going to score BIG!Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearningPodcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6fPodcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usCalendar (Consultation)- https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-1-hourCalendar (Patreon Badge Consultation) - https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-2-5-hourFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/?ref=bookmarksYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: ArsenioBuck@icloud.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thearseniobuckshow/?hl=enBuzz sprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/165390Twitter: https://twitter.com/ArseniosESLPodSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearning)
We're back with another TOEFL iTP Reading! This is in podcast form only because I hadn't gotten that many views on YouTube or Facebook with the videos. So, today's iTP lesson is about the Killer Bees, and it's all about navigation. Sure, you'll have some tough questions, such as the one at the very end, but hear how I navigate; and also how I make you understand the questions. Shouting matches, complaining, interruptions, zero accountability....we've all been there. Whether it's at home with the family or at work, things never seem to get done when people don't have an agenda for a meeting or course of action. How could you avoid this from happening? In today's podcast, I will give you five useful steps for running a successful meeting and focus on the solution. MY GOODNESS! The first year I was at about 60k plays. In the second year, I reached 193,000 in the same 365 days. Now? I've hit 200k. Welcome back to another TOEFL iTP special. In this episode, we're going to talk about errors that contain comparisons. In both the structure and written expression, you will see these (once or twice) and if you can identify them, that's +1 score! You need to understand how sentences compare similar things or concepts and how if they compare two dissimilar things, "those of" is used in place of it. Also, like/alike, unlike/not alike will be discussed.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearningPodcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6fPodcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usCalendar (Consultation)- https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-1-hourCalendar (Patreon Badge Consultation) - https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-2-5-hourFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/?ref=bookmarksYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: ArsenioBuck@icloud.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thearseniobuckshow/?hl=enBuzz sprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/165390Twitter: https://twitter.com/ArseniosESLPodSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearning)
Sometimes in the world of business, and even in our personal lives, we act in a reactive way instead of a solutions-based way. When COVID had shut down my job last year, the anxiety level was out of the roof because I didn't know how I would generate income. So, when the second shutdown happened this year, I was more than prepared and excited. Putting your heads together is an idiom that means "helping one another find a solution." In the entrepreneurial world, sometimes you need to sit down in a mastermind group to ponder what's happening and plan out actionable steps. In today's podcast, you have stories and a situation between two women who came across a massive problem at work. Welcome back to another interview session! We have the usuals today: Lisa, Robert, Phil, and Wiktor who talk about pitching, knowing your product inside and out, knowing your customer's needs, and how detrimental it could be in terms of promising your customers an outcome,To be honest, here in Thailand, lots of language centers love to super-impose on advertisements "Guaranteed 7.5 IELTS!" This is a marketing scheme, but if that had been in America, they could be sued for false advertisement. In saying that, I never promise anyone anything. What do I do instead? Here it is, people! The last Independent Essay from my previous student who ended up achieving a 24 on her writing, giving her a grand total of 100 for her test. So, in this video/podcast, this is what a 23/24 essay would look like, but the amount of things she could have done better is staggering. Nonetheless, hear me break down each paragraph, try drawing conclusions of the 2nd body paragraph, and see if everything correlates -- which it doesn't.  This is a great learning lesson for most of you out there, and she made a quantum leap to get that 24, which I'm absolutely so happy about. Here's the essay topic. People learn things better from those at their own levels—such as fellow students or co-workers—than from those at a higher level, such as teachers or supervisors.Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearningPodcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6fPodcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usCalendar (Consultation)- https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-1-hourCalendar (Patreon Badge Consultation) - https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-2-5-hourFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/?ref=bookmarksYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: ArsenioBuck@icloud.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thearseniobuckshow/?hl=enBuzz sprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/165390Twitter: https://twitter.com/ArseniosESLPodSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearning)

Sometimes when you try solving objections, you're looking at it from a win-lose situation. Win for you, lose for the other person -- which they would regret later on.  Also, when you see a potential client drifting away, you shouldn't continue pushing the narrative onto them, especially when you hear doubt behind their words. This makes the other individual feel very antsy and then they assume that it's been approached as a transaction (win-lose rather than win-win). So, what could you do instead? So, some of you are thinking "what the hell is a modifier?" Well, it's a participial phrase or another modifier that comes before the subject, but does not refer to the subject. Example: Incorrect: Driving down the road, a herd of sheep suddenly crossed the road in front of Liza's car.Correct: As Liza was driving down the road, a herd of sheep suddenly crossed the road in front of her. In today's podcast, I will discuss present/past participle, appositives, reduced adjective clauses, adjective phrases, and expressions with like or unlike...as misplaced structures. If you look at Google, 63% of employees are not worried about layoffs. However, if you look at Walt Disney, the CEO slashed 40k jobs at the beginning of COVID and have laid off an additional 28k at the beginning of this month, leaving its workers in "an awful lot of pain."  Meanwhile, the heir of the company, Abigail Disney, went on a Twitter-tirade over the businesses' practices and why the upper-echelon had received billions in bonuses and dividends while the hard-working middle-class suffered egregiously during the crisis. So, can we trust big cats? Can we trust that Jeff Bezos actually gives a damn about his employees (apparently not because tens of thousands had gotten COVID)? It's tough to call, and that's today's focus.  Can we trust the FAT CATS?Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearningPodcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/7hdzplWx6xB8mhwDJYiP6fPodcast on ListenNote: https://www.listennotes.com/c/778cf3cfd2564ba5b01f693bfebc96de/arsenio-s-esl-podcast/Podcast on CastBox: https://castbox.fm/channel/Arsenio's-ESL-Podcast-id1251433?country=usCalendar (Consultation)- https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-1-hourCalendar (Patreon Badge Consultation) - https://calendly.com/arseniobuck/teaching-coaching-for-2-5-hourFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/Arseniobuck/?ref=bookmarksYoutube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIzp4EdbJVMhhSnq_0u4ntAWebsite: https://thearseniobuckshow.com/Q & A: ArsenioBuck@icloud.comLinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/arsenio-buck-9692a6119/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thearseniobuckshow/?hl=enBuzz sprout: https://www.buzzsprout.com/165390Twitter: https://twitter.com/ArseniosESLPodSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/arseniosesllearning)

In this episode, I explain the full works of how to set goals by writing them out in a specific way. In addition to that, we're going to hear an interview that didn't go well for a woman because she's not prepared with subskills, and we're also going to discuss what skills you made need to learn to stay relevant in 2021.
