In this weeks episode we talk to Maya and discuss her asesxual identity. Maya is from the US and discovered she was asexual after being married and in a relationship for 7 years. She didn't know asexuality was a real thing until her, at the time, partner spoke to her about it. She never really experienced any real interest in sex or felt any sexual attraction. Whenever she engaged in sexual behaviour she explains it as just an act and she thought that must be how everyone felt. She is still wanting to stay anonymous but it is something she wants to work on- letting people know the real Maya. This was a gorgeous conversation and we really appreciate Maya's generosity and taking the time to talk on the pod. If you would like to message us with any questions, stories, or advice, please do!
