Happy to reach a new milestone as the tenth episode of #MunchwithJenandBen aired with co-hosts Jensen Siaw, International Motivational Speaker, Benjamin Ang, Editor and Ken Kish, Owner of Munch Munch.  Crossing borders this time to feature two international guests on the talk show, we have Divya Tusnial from India who shared how she went from a housewife in a traditional family in a male-dominated society to now multiple Top-of-Table (TOTs) PER YEAR (!) and to be among the best in Asia and the world.  Our second international guest from Cambodia -Sunlin York, an Associate Director who shared his experience on leading in unchartered waters, how he started his career in the very nascent stages of the life insurance sector in the kingdom and overcame the challenges in the way. Special guest Agnes Ng, Asia’s Rookie Agency Leader 2018, who has since been promoted to Financial Services Director shared a checklist of 10 items on how to create a fantastic virtual impression. Murphy’s law was real for episode 7, “Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong”. This is true as co-hosts Jensen Siaw, International Motivational Speaker, Benjamin Ang, Editor and Ken Kish, Owner of Munch Munch, had to troubleshoot their way as they battle with connectivity and reception issues.  We were glad our viewers had the patience watching us as we ‘froze’ countless of times during the talk show. Some even gave tips and advice to Ben and Ken on some troubleshooting as they could not connect through. On one hand we were having a headache with the connection, but on the other hand, we were touched and warmed by our viewer’s sincerity and encouragement to continue to participate and engage with one another in the chat box.  So, the show carries on! As swift as COVID-19 circuit breaker measures were implemented, we too at #MunchwithJenandBen were swift with making adjustments to the live talk show.  This is our fifth episode but second time we’ve produced online within the comforts and safety of our homes and for the first time ever, hosted in the night.  That’s right. We held a poll online and majority of the votes requested the new timeslot to be 9pm-10pm SGT.  Has this crossed your mind, “Is 2020 is a lost cause?” But is it really lost? COVID-19 circuit breaker measures came into effect in Singapore on 7 April. It was a Tuesday, the day we host our weekly “Munch with Jen and Ben” talk show. With the short notice given with the announcement of the stricter measures, we rolled with the punches to change the format of the show to ensure safety and compliance with the measures.  The #MunchwithJenandBen show, a collaboration between Asia Advisers Network, Jensen Siaw International and Munch Munch, was conceived to bring positivity and inspiration to our community when coronavirus first reared its ugly head, and we had been emphasising the need to keep our chins up and continue to adapt to keep moving forward. So Jensen Siaw, Ken Kish and I together with our teams decided to walk the talk and went ahead with the show in its new format.  When it was easier to just "take a break", we did frantic testing over the weekend and even in the morning before the show started. We adapted and rolled with it and, guess what, we got our highest views yet on the very first day of the show. (It usually takes a few days to gain traction.) So, whatever comes your way, adapt and roll with it. You may be surprised by the results, too, by trying something totally new because you were forced by circumstances!
