And why are we being asked to make adjustments to where we’ve let society’s values about morals & ethics trump those of own soul’s higher consciousness? This week’s podcast begins with a review of last month’s Scorpio New Moon opposite Uranus in Taurus energy during its third quarter waning period, which brought to the surface the need for us to evolve our sense of values to bring them into accordance with the “real” world. The shocking events—particularly those of this past week as this monthly lunar cycle waned—provided stark clarity & greater revelations that in order to evolve (read: survive) we must change our ways of thinking & acting. Or better yet, about how we must review our previous inaction on important topics. That’s because we know now how the Mars/Neptune square from December 14 resulted in violence (Mars) based on distorted or fantastical thinking (Neptune.) The proof is evidenced by the horrific shootings December 13 & 14 at Brown University, the terrorist massacre at Sydney’s Bondi Beach, Australia, celebration on the first night of Hannukah, & the patricide & matricide murders of Rob & Michele Reiner by a son with mental health issues. It couldn’t be clearer that the issues of both gun violence & mental health & addiction—particularly in America—has been too long ignored. And that our society needed these sudden, shockingly horrific events to awaken us to the need for change. This is especially true given that gun violence in schools has gone on so long that two Brown University students had been victims of school shootings before. The secret revealed this past month is that we can no longer ignore these horrific events as a society here in America & do nothing.MARS ENTERED CAPRICORN, SUN SQUARED SATURN=BLOCKAGESSince Mars entered Capricorn December 14/15, depending on your time zone, & the Sun squared Saturn December 16, we’ve also experienced blockages. President Trump’s blockade of sanctioned Venezuelan oil tankers, which in turn led to Venezuelan President Maduro ordering that naval vessels accompany these tankers is just one example.By then we also learned that a terrorist plot planned for New Year’s Eve had been thwarted, as “federal authorities announced the arrests of four alleged members of an extremist group who are suspected of planning coordinated bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve across Southern California.”We also learned by December 18, that there would be no extension by Congress of the Affordable Care Act (ACE) subsidies before they expire on December 31. House Speaker Mike Johnson effectively blocked that from happening & has ensured that millions will lose their healthcare coverage very, very soon. And, last but not least, there’s the release of Trump’s chief of staff Susie Wile’s interview with Vanity Fair Magazine, which revealed another secret: She is not your typical chief of staff who advises a president & stands firm in their convictions about what’s right or wrong. Rather she’s an enable who describes Trump as having an “alcoholics personality.” Having grown up with an alcoholic father, Wiles knows one when she sees one. This podcast looks at her natal chart & the explanation for how she became more of an enabler than one who can guide the president to do the right thing (read: moral, ethical, & just) for his citizens instead of allowing him to know no bounds in his personal vendetta for retribution against his perceived enemies. On the level of consciousness, this article leads us to understand—along with Trump’s December 17 address to the nation--that we may now, at this Sagittarius New Moon, want to adjust our concept of what’s morally & ethically acceptable in our society now.SAGITTARIUS NEW MOON & WINTER SOLSTICE: HOPE FOR A BETTER FUTURE BASED ON CHANGEAs we experience the Sagittarius New Moon at 28’24” of this Jupiter-ruled sign on December 19—representative of higher knowledge, philosophy, foreign travel, higher education, law/politics & our judicial system—we now get to place it in a larger context.Given that the November 19/20 Scorpio New Moon opposed Uranus in Taurus, which foretold of the revelations discussed above, we now know the Sagittarius Moon--in quincunx (150-degree aspect) to Uranus in Taurus--asks us now to adjust how we value our relationships based on last month’s revelations. In other words, as we ponder what’s been happening—not only this past month, but this past year—do we believe our laws, politics, & judicial system here in America have been based on a shared sense of morals & ethics? Or does our understanding of the dichotomy between what we know in our heart to be moral & just & current events present us now with a true moral dilemma moving forward?Tune in to this week’s podcast to learn more astro news you can use about how both luminary’s squares to Neptune, as the Sun’s perfects December 20, & Venus’s square to Saturn December 20/21 lead us to the December 21 winter solstice here in the northern hemisphere. And how this time of quiet reflection, as the Sun enters Saturn-ruled Capricorn, can task us to meditate on what moral damage has been done to our legal system as Jupiter squares wounded healer Chiron & dwarf planet of chaos & discord Eris at this lunation. And whether, when Venus quincunxes Uranus & then squares Neptune between December 22-24, & then enters Capricorn, we’ll get even more serious about reevaluating our commitment to our current partnerships—both personal & political. For all this & more, tune in, starting today at 11 a.m. PT & 2 p.m. ET, @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking... See you then!! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN for this & more Astro News You Can Use! @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops today, December 12!This podcast reviews the energies inherent in the current monthly lunar cycle begun at the Scorpio New Moon opposite Uranus retrograde in Taurus on November 19/20, depending on your time zone. And how secrets released since have served to empower us as we saw more revealed since. And how now--since Neptune stationed direct December 10, December 11’s “crisis in consciousness” waning third quarter monthly lunar square of the Virgo Moon to the Sagittarius Sun, & Mercury’s reentrance into Sagittarius December 11—have revealed the tension between factually justifying wide ranging “wishful thinking” strategies that lack realistically detailed rationales. As we wax now toward the exact Mars/Neptune square on December 14, we might be mindful that this energy mimics the U.S. Sibly’s chart natal Mars/Neptune square. And how that aspect conjures up images of the recently announced National Security Strategy (NSS) of U.S. withdrawal from NATO & alignment in general with former European allies.Reminiscent of the 1823 Monroe Doctrine, this newly announced NSS policy seeks to bring the U.S. back into an era of concern for western hemisphere dominance while reducing its formerly stated objective of allying with its European partners since WWII. In other words, the natal U.S. Mars/Neptune relates to the belief that exploration & inhabitation of the Americas included endless possibilities. That this is part of the waxing approximate 36-year synodic cycle which began when Saturn conjoined with Pluto in Capricorn on January 12, 2020, should be no surprise. That’s because this cycle often heralds the beginning a new world order. In 1947’s post WWII era, this cycle begun in Leo led to the formation of NATO & the U.S.’s commitment to partner with European nations to help maintain their future security. In hindsight now, the Saturn/Pluto cycle in Libra begun in late 1982 & early 1983 reflected the growing global concern with government austerity measures (read: Saturn-ruled Capricorn’s archetypal association with financial success.) That such policies were adopted during the Reagan & Thatcher years in tandem in the U.S. & U.K. fiscal “starve the beast” governmental deregulation seems obvious now. This Saturn/Pluto cycle also foresaw the dissolution of the USSR in 1989 after the new Saturn/Neptune cycle began--an event that factored strongly into the reformation of a new international global alignment since putting America at the forefront of global politics. MERCURY IN SAGITTARIUS: NEWS, NEWS, & MORE NEWS REVEALING MORE & MORE SECRETS!The continued outpouring of astrologically related news since have highlighted where confusion has obfuscated ulterior motives (Neptune direct), where missing details may prevent achievement of a strategy’s ultimate goal (Virgo/Pisces square & Mercury in Sagittarius.) including events related to law such as the dual-judge mandated release of grand jury information from the legal case of convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell & Jeffrey Epstein’s 2008 case. Also included is the release of Kilmar Abrego Garcia from detention by a judge who also prevented his rearrest on December 12 in Maryland based on declaring that immigration officials cannot re-detain him until the court conducts a hearing on the motion for the temporary restraining order.Next we have the recent Supreme Court “shadow docket” decision allowing Texas’s state gerrymander to continue through the 2026 midterms. Along with that comes the realization--a la the revelations revealed since this month’s Scorpio New Moon opposite Uranus in Taurus--that race-based voter disenfranchisement is allowable in a democracy. Yep, what’s come up from the Scorpionic depths that may surprise many who live here is that the U.S. is still a racist society, often protected by continued racist legal high court decisions. We have also the release now of additional Epstein information, including previously unseen photographs of high profile people such as Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Larry Summers, & more, hanging out in close contact with pedophiles Jeffrey Epstein & Ghislaine Maxwell. This as we wait to see whether more Epstein will be released by the Congressionally mandated date of December 19.Given that the Sagittarius Full Moon occurs that day, & that the Sadge Moon, Sun, Juno (the partner), & Venus all quincunx Uranus retrograde in Taurus then, it’s highly likely we’ll see some adjustment to which partnerships we’ll continue to value into the future--& which ones we’ll leave behind. Join us starting December 12 for more on all of this astro news you can use, including more on the Mars/Neptune square followed by Mars entrance into Capricorn December 14 & 15, the Sun/Saturn mutable square December 16, & the meaning of the Sagittarius New Moon December 19!

JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN for this & more Astro News You Can Use! @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops today, December 5!When a full Moon occurs, the Moon reflects the light of the Sun back onto itself, thus revealing its shadow side which the Moon then implores the Sun to release. In this case, the Jupiter-ruled Sun’s shadow often includes the tendency toward hubris, or arrogance. And, since Jupiter often represents the “king,” “ruler,” or “leader,” while the Moon often rules “the people,” it’s easy to put this into a current context in the U.S. as its president tries to gerrymander his way to hubristically maintain future control over those living here.Yesterday, as the Gemini Full Moon perfected at 13’04” Gemini at 3:14 p.m. PT & 6:14 p.m. ET on December 4, the Supreme Court announced its decision to let stand the Texas state gerrymander that would give its GOP five more U.S. House Representatives in the 2026 midterm elections. What’s interesting about this particular Gemini Full Moon is that its squares the transiting mean nodal axis’s Virgo South Node & Pisces North Node—which urges us to move way from trying to control everyone & everything & to let go & let it flow. The tension of this Gemini Full Moon thus creates a mutable grand cross, denoting a shift in the karmic axis as the heart (Moon) & the mind (Sun) cry out for integration. This combines with Mars in Sagittarius’s approaching square to Saturn in Pisces, which perfects December 8, & portends a period of irritability & frustration, & cautions us to work concentratedly & carefully rather than succumbing to despair. While grand water trine formed between Mercury in Scorpio, Jupiter in Cancer, & Saturn & Neptune in Pisces at this Gemini Full Moon is touted as a way to get more deeply in touch with our feelings, it can also blind us to the emotional plight of others. That’s because a grand water trine is subjective rather than objective. And as such, it can cause us to feel sorrier for ourselves than for others. However, awareness of this tendency now can save us from becoming emotionally immune to suffering of others.I CAN SEE CLEARLY NOW AS NEPTUNE STATIONS DIRECT IN PISCESThe latter is potentially more true than the former, given that Neptune--the planet of illusion, confusion, & delusion—which entered Aries on March 30 of this year, then stationed retrograde at 2’10” Aries on July 7, then moved back into 29-degrees of PI on October 22--is about to station direct @ 29’22” Pisces on December 10.It's during this retrograde period that “the powerful empathy between oneself & those who are helpless is a mirror of one’s own inner helplessness,” explains Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan in her book “Retrograde Planets, Traversing the Inner Landscape.”In other words “one really hopes in the process of helping others to help oneself,” Sullivan explains. To me, there is a strong element of “there, but for the grace of god, go I,” as well as the oft quoted proverb to “walk a mile in someone else’s shoes before judging them” in Sullivan’s explanation of the Neptune retrograde period. And, when we take into consideration the time span of NE’s Rx period-- which was accompanied fairly closely with SA’s station Rx on July 13 @ 1’56” Aries & his subsequent station direct at 25’09” PI on November 27—during which the two remained in fairly close transit--we can see even more clearly now in retrospect the dissolution of boundaries between the ego & the unconscious--in each of us individually as well as within the greater collective. All we need do, at least here in America, is remember how this period led to the passage in the U.S. Congress of Trump’s touted “big beautiful bill” signed into law on July 4. And how--in addition to adding to the continued future financial inequality of Americans (by virtue of huge tax cuts for the rich)--resulted also in the huge increase in funding for the Department of Homeland Security’s Immigration & Customs Enforcement. Because during its retrograde Neptune backtracks over potentially sensitive degrees, we might note now that this is what happened since Neptune crossed the the U.S. Sibly July 4, 1776, natal chart’s IC & 4th House cusp at 1’03” Aries twice so far. Once direct, Neptune will hit this degree again circa January 28, 2026.In psychological astrology, Neptune in or ruling the 4th House (meaning Pisces is on its cusp) denotes what Jungian astrologer Liz Greene calls a ”weak father.” Given that we’re looking at the chart of the birth of America, as Monty Python would say “say no more…” if you catch my drift & recognize that a president is known as “the father his country.”Saturn will reenter Aries on February 13 & conjoin with Neptune exact @0’45” Aries on February 20 at 11:53 a.m. ET. Saturn then reenters the U.S. 4th House on February 23 & Neptune follows suit on February 28.When we synthesize these movements, we’ve got a lot of potential dissolution of foundations located at the very foundation of the U.S. Sibly chart—particularly related to the “father of the country.” Nuff said—for now…Be sure to tune in to learn more about all of this--including Mercury's opposition to Uranus December 10, the third quarter monthly lunar square of the Pisces Moon to the Sagittarius Sun & Mercury's entrance into Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius December 11!It all drops today December 5 at 11 a.m. PT & 2 p.m. ET @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingSee you then! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN FOR all the Astro News You Can Use @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking podcast!ANY WAY THE WIND BLOWS, EVERYTHING YOU DON’T KNOW TURNS INTO A REVELATIONThe Scorpio New Moon, which occurred at 28-degrees 12-minutes Scorpio at 10:47 p.m. PT November 19 & 1:47 a.m. ET November 20, opposed Uranus retrograde at 29-degrees 29-minutes of Taurus, known as the “Pleiades point” in Greek mythology. Found in the Taurus constellation, the seven weeping sisters represent “blindness”--sometimes literally, more often metaphorically. So, Mercury retrograde’s reentrance into the 29th degree of Scorpio on November 18/early November 19--when Mercury then exact opposed Uranus Rx @ 29 Taurus seem now in hindsight to have represented a “once I was blind but now I can see” moment. .Astrologically speaking this Mercury/Uranus opposition aspect alone told us that something unusual, something sudden & potentially shocking was likely to happen as we approached this Scorpio New Moon. This was then confirmed as we waxed toward today’s exact Sun/Uranus opposition on November 21.And, sure enough, it was as these aspects waxed in strength & as we approached the Scorpio New Moon that President Trump—who’d formerly insisted these Epstein documents were a “Democratic hoax”—announced his unexpected turnaround. Suddenly, after realizing that resistance was futile, he was all for passage of “The Epstein Files Transparency Act” & declared that he would sign the bill when it reached his desk. And so he did on November 19, just before the Scorpio New Moon arrived. Now this month’s lunation directs us to plant seeds that allow us to gain a greater sense of self-empowerment—both individually & collectively—but that such empowerment will come with some surprising revelations as we face our hidden shadows. Shadows to which we’ve previously been blind, given this lunation’s opposition to Uranus retrograde at the 29 Taurus Pleiades degree--as they emerge suddenly, & perhaps shockingly, into the light of day.For Donald Trump, who experienced this lunation in his Pluto/Scorpio-ruled 4th House of early psychological roots opposing transiting Uranus in his 10th House of reputation in the wider world & square to his Leo Ascendant (appearance to others) & fixed star Regulus, it the message now seems clear. His popularity waning, his strong-arm tactics shot down in courts, his inability to understand the definition of “affordability” in the economic realm, his thirst for revenge & warlike tactics both domestically & internationally, the question becomes whether this is the beginning of the end for him. He is, after all, now considered political a “lame duck”—one who’s constitutionally prevented from running for president again, despite acting like the U.S. Constitution doesn’t exist.YOU WATCH & YOU WAIT, & PRAY FOR THE DAY…With transiting Uranus retrograde now square Donald Trump’s Leo Ascendant & fixed star Regulus—which at his birth conjoined his Ascendant in Leo—Trump is now facing what Regulus traditionally represents--which is king maker & (potentially) king breaker. Fixed star Regulus, considered one of the four royal stars by the ancient Persians, has a connotation with "Watcher of the North," & as such was seen as a guardian star, which brought honor and success. However, Regulus carried the warning that succumbing to vengeful impulses would diminish its blessings. In short, seeking & gaining power was in its purview, but that power would be lost if such a person resorted to revenge of his or her perceived enemies.Given that transiting Uranus first squared Trump’s Leo Ascendant/Regulus on June 17, 2025, he’s already taken the first hit. However, his second exact square occurred on November 7, the day he pardoned 70+ people who’d been instrumental in his “stop the steal” elector scheme leading to the U.S. Capitol insurrection on January 6, 2021. Next he’s gone after his political opponents for doing their jobs, such as former FBI Director James Comey, NYS Attorney General Letitia James, & more, as he seeks revenge against those attempting to hold him legally accountable for his own wrongdoings. What’s important to realize now is that Uranus, which remains retrograde in Taurus until February 3, 2026, will once again comes into orb of squaring his Leo Ascendant/Regulus between April 6-25, 2026. It’s on April 26 of next year that Uranus direct reenters Gemini for the duration of its transit there. The point is that Trump is not done yet with his potential fall from grace, based on ancient archetypal astrological calculations which foretell a diminished future for him, to put it diplomatically. What that will look like exactly is hard to say, as he’s always been extremely lucky despite his mafioso tendencies.Astrologer Rob Hand generally describes the Uranus square to one’s Ascendant in his book “Planets In Transit” as one that “…is likely to have a very disruptive effect on your relationships. Influences may enter your life, either through your home or your profession, that will challenge the foundations upon which your life is built. This challenge will be reflected in surprising encounters with others that upset your way of living or in sudden separations from person who you thought would remain in your life for some time.” I’ll leave it to you, gentle reader, to suss out the direction from which the who, what, where, how, & when of these challenges for Trump. All I ask is that you keep this particular transit in mind as we approach the early spring next year… YOU CAN’T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT, BUT IF YOU TRY SOMETIMES, YOU GET WHAT YOU NEEDNow, as we head into this month’s Scorpio themed lunar cycle, we might be mindful that Mercury’s still retrograde in Scorpio until it stations direct on November 29, Neptune’s retrograde in Pisces until December 10, Uranus remains retrograde until February 3, 2026, & Jupiter’s still retrograde in Cancer until March 10, 2026.While these retrogrades always ask us to review, Mercury Rx in Scorpio has clearly brought a lot of vitriolic language to the forefront. The point is that now we can recognize such language for what it is—the deeply violent not-so-shadow side of Donald Trump when he calls for the death of his political opponents by saying they should be hanged for telling the military not to follow illegal orders.Meanwhile, however, just before Mercury stations direct again on November 29, Saturn will station direct in Pisces November 27. We continue now to review our plans for the future (Mercury Rx), & strengthen our connection to what’s real versus fantastical thinking (Neptune Rx.) In addition, we experience the shattering of “smug ideals which will not withstand true, objective clarity,” as Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan puts it in her book “Retrograde Planets” (Uranus Rx.) And we continue to review what is our TRUE inner sense of morality, ethics, & integrity--versus that which society tells us is moral & just—& bring such inner knowing into greater consciousness (Jupiter Rx.)When Saturn stations direct at 29’09” Pisces, it will remain “within the same degree for almost six weeks on either side of the station,” according to Sullivan. “Upon its direction, one might feel as if moving in slow motion.” Despite this, something new will have “been born, but it will need a few months to become consciously manifest,” she notes. When Saturn direct reaches the degree at which it originally stationed, or 1’56” Aries, by March 2, 2026, we’ll be able to see the completion of previous plans which seemed stalled during the retrograde, according to Sullivan. “Alternatively, a tentative plan or fantasy may come to reality in the last stages of the cycle,” Sullivan points out, adding “negatively, it will finish off any antiquated or non-productive relationship, projects, or activities,” as “outmoded & evening damaging values or relationships long past their productive stage do end,” she concludes.Given that the Sun entered Jupiter-ruled Sagittarius November 21, Jupiter’s retrograde in Cancer has the Sadge archetype as its dispositor until the Sun moves on & into Capricorn December 21. However, since Jupiter’s retrograde in Moon-ruled Cancer lasts until March 10, 2026, it’s then we’ll begin to realize how plans made prior to its station retrograde on November 11 have contracted rather than expanded. The point of Jupiter’s retrograde period—if we are striving for greater consciousness in our lives—is that it’s the period which leads us to better understand that we don’t always get what we want, but that we will more often get what we need. It’s knowledge--& acceptance—of the difference between these two that gives us the advantage as we navigate our lives. In terms of the U.S. Government’s current administration, this bodes well, don’t you think? The current administration’s plans to shrink the government, eliminate diversity, equity, & inclusive policies, to hunt down & jail or deport immigrants here legally, to deny educational institutions federal funding, continue to promote misogyny, & to have the president continually profit financially from his foreign cryptocurrency deals--& so much more—is a WANT.But going after Donald Trump’s political adversaries, & ignoring his own policy’s negative economic effects with zero regard for his nation’s citizens well-being might not be exactly what his soul actually needs, lol. Especially since he was born with a wounded Jupiter by virtue of its tight conjunction to Juno, the sign of partnership, & Chiron, the wounded healer in his 2nd House of values. If we take note of all these astrological happenings as they pertain to life here in the
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN to find out what all Astro News You Can Use this portends post by listening to this week’s podcast: https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking which drops November 7!This podcast reviews the astro energies—including the Mars/Uranus opposition--that led to a major wakeup call resulting from the U.S. off year elections on November 4. This wakeup call was for everyone: Both those in power & those who disagree with their policies. The Medias Touch news organization put it best: “Tuesday’s results were an electoral victory for Democrats, but even more, they were a reaffirmation of democracy itself.” Thus, we had the awakening amongst those in power who seem to suddenly realize that depriving people of resources such as food & healthcare is not going to happen without pushback. And, we had the revelation amongst voters who disapprove of being starved, denied affordable healthcare, & made sick from watching people dragged off the streets & jailed—or worse yet deported--without due process rights, that democracy is still alive and well.By the Taurus Full Moon November 5 Virginia had elected a female governor--its first ever after a history of 74 former male governors--& NJ elected its second female governor. All of this speaks volumes about the Taurus Full Moon’s emphasis on the awakening of feminine divine archetype. In addition, when he announced his transition team on the day of the Taurus Full Moon, we might note it is comprised entirely of females. And that his team includes Lina Kahn, the former chair of the Federal Trade Commission during President Biden’s administration who fought against corporate anti-trust violators during her tenure there. Also, as Jupiter was trining Saturn at this lunation, we saw its mythological meaning come to life as 34 year-old Zohran Mamdani was elected NYC mayor by the largest turn out of voters—many of them younger ones--since 1969. Part of the Jupiter/Saturn 20-year cycle, which began when the two conjoined in Aquarius on December 21, 2020, this represents a changing of the guard from the older generation to the younger one. This theme was illustrated as well since influential California House Rep Nancy Pelosi, who’s now 84 years old, announced she would not run for reelection in 2026, thus ending her long-standing influence on the democratic side of the House. Another symbolic changing of the guard by passing the baton from the old “king” to the young one… HOW’S THAT PARTNERSHIP THING BEEN WORKIN’ FOR YA?Now in the waning portion of this month’s lunar cycle since it began with the Libra New Moon on October 21--which called us to plant seeds to better partner with ourselves so that we may become a better parter to others—there’s still a face off in the Congressional-caused government shutdown.Trouble is that lunation was fraught with pitfalls such as its squares to Jupiter & Pluto & its opposition to chaos maker Eris & wounded healer Chiron, making this month’s mission harder than most. That righteous (Jupiter) control (Pluto) by the powerful would cause chaos and wounding (Chiron/Eris) to people seems now to have been foretold by this lunation.Since today marks the 38th day & the longest government shutdown in history, thus far with no end in sight, we can see clearly now how the Libra New Moon’s mission to learn to better negotiate & compromise with others predicted resistance to compromise that’s caused a great deal of chaos & pain.Californians voted in Prop 50 after deciding “the hell with going high when they go low” in the effort to counteract Texas’s attempts to gerrymander state maps to favor adding an additional five GOP seats to the House of Representatives. Again, a result of this monthly lunar cycle’s message that it’s time to push back rather than lay back & continue to be disempowered. However, as we head toward the third-quarter waning “crisis in consciousness” square of the Leo Moon to the Scorpio Sun November 11, we’re asked to realize that the needs of each individual are what matter, and that lumping them into groups & dismissing their concerns will cause even more chaos. The Leo Moon (“the people” in mundane astrology) are in tension with the leader (“king” in mundane astrology) who’s hell bent on ruling with an autocratic hand. This recent election, as we waxed toward the Taurus Full Moon, will now lead to the realization that we are at a turning point here in America.ONCE I WAS BLIND, BUT NOW I CAN SEEMeanwhile, we have the Uranus retrograding back into Taurus on November 7 & reentering at the 29-degree Pleiades point, which represents “blindness.” The question becomes whether the Trump Administration & Congress have been SO blind to what’s going on in the lives of its citizens that it’s actually adapted a “let them eat cake” policy & caused what’s now the longest government shut down in American history? As Uranus backs into Taurus, we have also the announcement that—due to the fact that federally-employed air traffic controllers (Uranus=flight) are going without pay causing many of them to call in sick, thus creating a shortage of workers. This is leading to a 40% reduction in flights across the country (Taurus=slowdown.) This as we approach the Thanksgiving holiday period, pretty much THE most heavily traveled days of the year.Next we have Mercury stationing retrograde in Sagittarius (also a delay related to travel) on November 9. This marks the beginning of the period where Mercury moved back from the fire to the water trigon, asking us to begin to review the question “what is the quality of my life?” as Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan puts it in her book “Retrograde Planets, Traversing the Inner Landscape.”Mercury will move back into Scorpio on November 18 & remain in that deeply volatile archetypal sign through its direct station on November 29 & until it reenters Sagittarius on December 11. Lots of time for us to review the emotional quality of our lives now & to discern where we may be clinging on to old emotional patterns that no longer serve us well.By November 11 Jupiter will station retrograde in Cancer, asking us to review whether what we think we want is what our soul truly needs to be happy. This is a huge lift for some, given Jupiter’s propensity for pie-in-the-sky, somewhere over the rainbow, optimism & wishful thinking. Jupiter remains retrograde until March 10, 2026, so the caution is not to get too disillusioned if efforts do not pan out as previously planned during this time span. Rather, look at the bright side given the current state of U.S. politics: THEIR plans to disempower American citizens won’t manifest as they thought they would, & that’s a good thing, right? On November 12, Mercury retrograde conjoins with Mars in Sagittarius & perhaps we’ll hear some judicial thinking (read: rulings) about the U.S. Government’s attempts harm others. Could be about shooting boats out of international waters with no proof that their running drugs. Could be about the “war” Trump has declared against his own citizens by placing federal troops in American cities. Or perhaps through high tariffs that only end up taxing his own people. All eyes, at least here in America, will be on the U.S. elections that day.On one hand, this Mars/Uranus opposition might mean a sudden about face in terms of voters’ preferences—at least for those who are going to the polls that day, be they Republicans, Democrats, or Independents. “Most frequently this transit signifies the explosive release of tension through sudden anger against someone, especially persons close to you,” according to Rob Hand in his “Planets In Transit” book. “These people will make you feel restless & irritable, & you will blow up at them easily. Expect to have feelings of great impatience.”“On the other hand, this transit can represent a time when your efforts to liberate yourself from unnecessary & inhibiting restrictions start to succeed,” Hand continues. “Now you can really feel that you are becoming free of these bonds….But you can expect considerable resistance from others & it will not be easy,” he cautions. So, as we wax toward the 13’23” Taurus Full Moon opposite the Scorpio Sun, which occurs at 5:19 a.m. PT & 8:19 a.m. ET, we may find that recent tensions revolving around tighter governmental controls drives more people to the polls than normal during an off year election.Meanwhile, with Saturn & Neptune both currently retrograde in Pisces since their entrances into Mars-ruled Aries earlier this year, we continue to see the rapid dissolution of foundational structures, walls, & boundaries here in the U.S. government under the current Trump Administration. As New York Times’ Op-Ed columnist Maureen Dowd put it on October 25: “We are awash in nautical metaphors as the president plunders and pillages. He’s a pirate--and not the fun Halloween kind.” Dowd add: “Congress is adrift. The White House is a shipwreck. Trump is marauding in the Caribbean. James Comey and Letitia James are being forced to walk the plank, and next up could be Jack Smith and Adam Schiff.”“IN A WORLD THAT KEEPS ON PUSHING ME AROUND, I WON’T BACK DOWN”While the Taurus Moon wants peace, calm, & serenity, at the full Moon it reflects the light of the Scorpio Sun back onto itself—thus revealing the Scorpio Sun’s more controlling shadow side. Manipulation to gain or keep power--particularly through joint resources (read: taxpayers’ monies), sex, & violation of trust—are undeniably currently in the forefront of the energy here in America. Proof of this, as we wax now toward the exact Mars/Uranus opposition & the Taurus Full Moon November 4 & 5, respectively, came when Mercury in Sagittarius opposed Uranus in Gemini exact on October 30, & we learned this from The Hill publication:“The National Guard is building a ‘quick reaction force’ of some 23,500 troops trained in crowd control and civil disturbance that can be ready to deploy to U.S. cities by early next year, according to a leaked memo reported by multiple outlets Wednesday.“The Oct. 8 memo, signed by National Guard Bureau Director of Operations…orders the Guard from nearly every U.S. state, Puerto Rico and Guam to train 500 service members. States with smaller populations, such as Delaware, will have 250 troops in their forces, while Alaska will have 350, and Guam will have 100, Task & Purpose”—a publication geared toward the U.S. military community” reported.Let’s remember, too, that on October 8, we were waxing toward an exact Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries, which indicated either wounding that causes chaos, or chaos that results in wounding—take your pick. What’s obvious, however, is that this pair was also opposed by both luminaries in Libra at the Libra New Moon on October 21, which also squared Jupiter & Pluto, setting up the energies for this month’s lunar cycle which is not even halfway through yet.A PUSH COMES TO SHOVE MOMENTAs we reach the culmination of this monthly lunar cycle at the Taurus Full Moon, it’s a push comes to shove moment, at least here in America. Soon, not only immigrants who look or speak differently from typical Americans (read: usually meaning white) but local protestors against the already ongoing invasion of mostly blue state’s cities will be in danger throughout the nation as well.Meanwhile, the disabled, children, & seniors are being cut off from the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) as of November 1, when T-square is formed as Venus in Libra opposes Chiron & Eris in Aries & they all square Jupiter in Cancer that day.By early morning election day, November 4, Mars enters Sagittarius at 8:01 a.m. ET, the MOON enters Taurus at 11:16 a.m. & then quincunxes Mars @ 11:25 a.m. Finally, Mars then opposes Uranus exact at 12:30 pm. Hoo boy, that’s a lotta change over the course of only about four & a half hours from 8:01 a.m. to 12:30 pm ET. But there’s more—following that at 1:30 p.m., the Taurus MO squares PL in AQ.And it’s this aspect on November 4 that “encourages compulsive behavior,” according to Rob Hand. “Your emotions acquire so much momentum that it is difficult not to give in to sudden urges & impulses that may not be good for you in the long run, particularly if you have been trying to suppress your feelings.” However--& this is a BIG however--this transit “is least difficult if you deal with your feelings honestly & do not try to hide them from yourself.” Given the fact that seven million people took to the streets on No Kings Day to oppose the current tyrannical nature of the U.S. Government under Donald Trump, it’s clear they did not hide their emotions from themselves—or anyone else. Given that as a foreshadow, it’s not hard to imagine that this fixed Moon/Pluto square’s energy on the day of the election—along with the other aspects mentioned--may well result in a groundswell of support against current Scorpionic machinations designed to disempower the masses.K, there’s A LOT MORE Astro News You Can Use—including more about what’s been going on--& will go on—astrologically in this week’s podcast, so be sure to tune in starting today October 31 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking Till then, namaste…
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking FOR THIS WEEK’S “ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING!” PODCAST WHICH DROPS OCTOBER 24!We’re in the early waxing stage of the monthly lunar cycle begun with the Libra New Moon—which formed a grand cross as it opposed the chaos-causing wounds via Chiron & Eris, & squared Jupiter as it opposed Pluto--on October 21.This posed tensions around the area of partnership. Pluto represents power & control, as well as joint resources & other peoples’ money, among other things. Since the Sun’s been in Scorpio since October 22, it’s now ruled by Pluto. So, as the Scorpio Sun squares Pluto in Aquarius October 24, we’ve already seen power plays, particularly those related to money, including taxpayer’s money (read: other peoples’ money) & its effect on the U.S. economy.Meanwhile, President Donald Trump is taking corporate donors' money to fund his $200M 90,000 square foot ballroom addition to the White House & has already begun the destruction of the East Wing there. Nothing speaks more clearly to the fact that million & billionaires now influence government policy than this. As my Capricorn mother used to say: “He who has the money has the power.” I hate to admit now that she was right. Consider the symbolism: As the president of the United States takes corporate money to destroy a part of the White House—known as “the people’s house,” do we not realize that this is what’s happening now to the U.S. Government? The heavens are reflecting back to us the power plays occurring here in the U.S. as the government remains shutdown & funding for many different services—such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) which feeds millions of poor people & their children in all 50 states—run out of funds November 1.Meanwhile, the destruction of the East Wing, made possibly by rich peoples’ donations, tells us that something is not right here. By the time Mercury enters Sagittarius & we reach the first quarter lunar “crisis in action” square of the Aquarius Moon to the Scorpio Sun October 29, will even more than the seven million people who attended No Kings Day peaceful protests be called to action?K, there’s a lot more Astro News You Can Use—including more about the repercussions of the Mercury/Mars conjunction in Scorpio last week, Mercury’s entrance into exaggerative Sagittarius, & this first quarter lunar square in this week’s podcast, so be sure to tune in starting today October 24 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking Till then, namaste…
! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking FOR THIS WEEK’S “ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING!” PODCAST WHICH DROPS OCTOBER 17!As we wax now toward the Libra New Moon on October 21, we can see that the Libra Sun opposes wounded healer Chiron, & Eris, the dwarf planet of chaos, discord, & strife. And that this opposition is forming a square to Jupiter as it waxes toward an opposition to Pluto. That this is occurring as we head into the nationwide No Kings protest day on October 18 is troublesome to say the least. Republican governors from Texas, Virginia, & Missouri have already called up their National Guard in preparation for these protests. And that means, even before the Libra New Moon hits on Tuesday, October 21, that protesters must call upon their inner Libran archetype to emphasize their peacefulness rather than fall prey to any coercive actions by others who try to make them respond otherwise (read: aggressively.)Billed as the largest protest in American history, millions will gather in all 50 states to protest the current policies ordered by President Trump & his administration since he took office in January 2025. The caution here is not to get sucked in to losing one’s cool, as the heavens are telling us that even the slightest provocation might land one in trouble now.Given that political rhetoric has coarsened to the point of becoming radicalized since Mercury, the god of communication, entered Pluto-ruled Scorpio on October 6, now is not the time to release anger in any way other than verbally. However, the tension increases since Mercury will join Mars in Scorpio exact late on October 19/early October 20—depending on your time zone--making this waxing energy extremely strong on October 18’s No Kings day. Take this as a warning not to lose your cool now, whether you’re part of these protests or engaged in any other dispute personally with those with whom you disagree. Rather, as stated, channel your inner Libran archetype to simply stay calm & carry on!  GIVE ME THE MAN & I WILL FIND THE CRIMEMeanwhile, more vindictive prosecutions were announced this past week as we head toward the Libra New Moon on October 21. The U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ), which has been weaponized against Donald Trump’s perceived enemies—as Attorney General Pam Bondi & Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche now serve as his personal lawyers--indicted former National Security Advisor John Bolton accusing him of releasing classified information to unauthorized individuals.Whether the charges stick or not, the fact that Trump has stated publicly that he’s going after his “enemies” & is hell bent on “retribution” is clearly reflected by the waxing Mercury/Mars energy in Scorpio now. Trump has already forced his DoJ to indict former FBI Director James Comey, NY Attorney General Letitia James, & District Attorney Fani Will of Fulton Country, Georgia, (& others) against experienced DoJ attorneys’ advice & with little evidence. “Vindictive prosecution” is a great way to define not only the Mercury/Mars conjunction, but also the Sun waxing toward its exact square to Pluto on October 24 & Jupiter’s current out of sign opposition to Pluto. All of those smell of “retribution” against one’s enemies through legal recourse. The Scorpionic & Plutonic nature of these aspects, however, reek of underhanded methods to achieve one’s goals. And that is part & parcel of what the No Kings day protests are about. In the short-term, however, it’s clear that the U.S. Government shutdown is on peoples' minds as well, as the fight between the two congressional parties--where one refuses to negotiate & compromise with the other--continues.Why? Because the capitalist-oriented GOP majority in Congress believe they are being “responsible” by cutting the federal budget’s Medicaid & Affordable Care Act health insurance subsidies—along with a host of other aid to poorer citizens--to offset the growing federal deficit. However, they fail to acknowledge (though clearly they MUST realize) that part of the reason for the expanding budget deficit is due to the Big Ugly Bill they passed at the behest of Donald Trump in July which granted huge tax relief to the richest among us in the country. At the same time, the same people who refuse to compromise accuse anyone who disagrees with them—particularly the millions of citizens (many their own constituents) scheduled to protest on October 18--of being members of Antifa.Woe to the poor soul who doesn’t have the intellectual capacity to understand that Antifa stands for ANTI FASCIST. Or that this country has been anti-fascist to its core, particularly since its citizens fought & died during WWII against the FACIST Nazis in Germany. Apparently, they never read George Orwell’s “1984,” let alone understand that Antifa is NOT an actual organization. Rather, it’s simply a non-existent group made up by Trump & Republicans, labeled "terrorists," & designed to attack liberals or anyone who disagrees with them.K, there’s a lot more Astro News You Can Use—including about the upcoming Libra New Moon, & how we’re definitely  in the throes of the fight for democracy since U.S. Pluto Return (& no, it wasn’t a one-off aspect here today, gone tomorrow!)--in this week’s podcast, so be sure to tune in starting today @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking Till then, namaste…

OIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS SEPTEMBER 26 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingSome astro transits are fleeting but all are part of a cycle—astrology is, after all, the study of cycles! The one that’s most prevalent right now is clearly represented by the repercussions of the recent Mars in Scorpio third quarter waning “crisis in consciousness” square to Pluto in Aquarius which perfected on September 24. The repercussions triggered by this Mars/Pluto square are clearly upon us now, especially here in the U.S. Don’t forget that when you put Mars & Pluto together—whether its through aspects between the two or aspects between planets in their ruled signs of Aries & Scorpio—you can pretty much be assured the energies are going to be about one or more of the following subjects: money, power, control, secrets, sex, anger, &/or violence. That’s why astrologer Rob Hand defines this square in his book “Planets In Transit” as a time that heralds “a serious conflict between individual energies & the energies of a group.” This becomes more obviously prevalent now because Pluto is in Uranus-ruled Aquarius, the sign of groups. “Transit cycles involving Pluto have a strange way of producing total destruction of your own ends if you take illegitimate shortcuts,” Hand continues. However, “the consequences of your deceptive actions will not be apparent until the next time transiting Mars either conjoins or opposes Pluto.” Hand is, of course, speaking of the transit of Mars to one’s natal Pluto. However, I have found his description of aspects between transiting planets often to be as accurate in energetic terms as a transit to a natal chart planet. At the least, he captures the essence of the potential manifestation of archetypal aspect combinations be they solely in the sky or affecting the natal. And don’t forget astrologer Michael Lutin’s teaching that whenever an aspect in the sky echoes one in your individual chart, you will experience a “recurrence” of that energy.I can pretty much guarantee that there are plenty of Mars/Pluto frictional aspects in the natal charts of sexual abuse victims, such as those trafficked by sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, though there are likely other astrological indications specific to each as well. Anybody recognize how a recurrence of Mars/Pluto energy entered the collective since a number of his victims spoke out about his abuse on the steps of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. recently? And how this week’s election of a new Congresswoman in Arizona put the Epstein issue front & center back in the news?According to The Hill publication on Sept 25: “Lawmakers in both parties fighting to force the Trump administration to release all the federal files on Jeffrey Epstein took a big step closer to their goal this week. Adelita Grijalva’s victory on Tuesday in a special House election in southern Arizona sends another Democrat to Capitol Hill — and secures the deciding 218th signature on a discharge petition designed to compel the Justice Department to disclose the still-concealed documents related to the late child sex offender.”THERE WERE INCIDENTS & ACCIDENTS, HINTS & ALLEGATIONSRegardless, since this Mars/Pluto square—which represents the waning third quarter “crisis in consciousness” portion of the Mars/Pluto synodic cycle which began with their conjunction at 0’46” AQ on Feb 14, 2024—we’ve seen numerous related incidents that reflect its energies pretty accurately.“Incidents” that cannot be ignored here in America if we are to preserve our democratic system of three independent branches of government which are currently now being dissolved & destroyed under the U.S. Pluto return’s ongoing energies, along with that of the current Saturn/Neptune conjunction & its cycle in Aries.Incidents such as U.S. president’s statement “I hate my enemies” at Charlie Kirk’s funeral, which clearly invites others to do the same. Incidents like governmentally-driven suppression of free speech & the decision by the CDC to recommend Covid vaccines ONLY to anyone over 65 or with a verifiable health issue. And then there’s the agency’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) panel vote to restrict children’s access to a measles-mumps-rubella vaccine known as MMRV. The panel also postponed a vote on whether all newborns should get the hepatitis B shot. Incidents such as the DoJ’s indictment of former FBI director James Comey on charges even the DoJ says won’t stick. Incidents such as the FBI dropping its bribery case against the now immigration czar Tom Homan who last year secretly accepted a bag filled with $50K in cash in return for “favors” when he entered government in 2025.Incidents such as learning the Secret Service dismantled a covert telecommunications network spread across five locations in the New York area that contained a system also used to transmit assassination threats against senior U.S. officials during the gathering of the world’s dignitaries at the United Nations in New York City this past week. And, neither last nor least, incidents such as the looming U.S. government shutdown on October 1 based on the inability of Congress to do the “Libra thang” & negotiate & compromise to avoid such a catastrophe. Mars square Pluto doesn’t compromise, after all…it’s about power and those who get hurt in the process be damned…THE HANDWRITING ON THE WALLWe arrived at the first Mars/Pluto waxing first quarter “crisis in action” square on June 11, 2024, & it was July 1, 2024, when the Supreme Court granted U.S. presidents “immunity from criminal liability for…official acts,” according to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU.) Thus began the time of “a serious conflict between individual energies & the energies of a group,” as Rob Hand puts it. On November 3, 2024, the day before the U.S. presidential election, Mars made its first exact opposition to Pluto. Because of Mars’ retrograde period, these two opposed again late on January 2/early Jan 3, 2025, & then one more time on April 26 of this year.Rob Hand describes a Mars/Pluto opposition thusly: “If you are tempted to gain control over others, be very careful. Eventually you might find yourself opposed by everyone whom you have ever tried to rule.” Certainly sounds like something that ultimately manifested as the massive “No Kings” protest rallies around the nation, no?Meanwhile, the next time Mars & Pluto conjoin to begin a new synodic cycle will be at 3’34” Aquarius on January 27, 2026. So it's between now & then that we’ll be experiencing the waning quarter of this current cycle between the two which, again, denotes a time of conflict between those in power & the energies of a group. The U.S. Pluto return brings us back to the origins (read: birth) of America, which clearly did not happen without a fight. Taxation of the colonists by the British monarchy clearly helped ignite the American Revolution, which began in 1775 & lasted until peace was formally declared in 1783.It then took the colonists' "founding fathers" until 1789 to construct a constitution, create three co-equal branches of government, inaugurate the first U.S. president & seat the first Supreme Court justices. As we look at what’s happening now, especially the repercussions of the waning square of Mars in Scorpio to Pluto in Aquarius those who are paying attention can clearly see the handwriting on the wall…The question becomes: Do we want to be puppets on a string, or stand up & fight back? Even if it took something as seemingly superficial as the censoring of a late-night talk show comedian to wake the masses up, it nevertheless sparked a revolution against suppression of our democratic rights. The waning portion of this Mars/Pluto cycle advises: Don’t let that spark die as the winds of suppression try to snuff it out…   Tune in to all of this & more Astro News You Can Use starting today @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingincluding the upcoming September 29 first-quarter lunar monthly square & Mercury in Libra’s cardinal square to Jupiter in Cancer October 1, as we wax toward the exact Eris/Chiron conjunction in Aries October 9! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS SEPTEMBER 19 @https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingToday’s podcast explores that fact that this month’s waning third-quarter of the lunar cycle—which leads us to the September 21 Virgo New Moon solar eclipse--has been a time to wake up & smell the coffee that our constitutional rights here in the U.S. are under threat. So, before we even reach this second eclipse in this fall’s series--which began with the Pisces Full Moon total lunar eclipse on March 7--we’re asked at the end of the monthly lunar cycle to adjust to several realities. Doing so allows us to better recognize what seeds we’re being called to plant at the Virgo New Moon solar eclipse on September 21.Since the assassination of prominent right-winger Charlie Kirk on September 10, we experienced the September 13 Sun/Mercury superior conjunction in Virgo. And since then, Mercury has moved ahead of the Sun to become an evening star, meaning he’s more prominently visible in the night sky.In turn, this B symbolizes it’s now time—between September 13 & November 9 when Mercury once again stations retrograde—for clear observation & rational, logical, organized, & pragmatic thought that leads to ultimately to action.I often point out that my astrological philosophy is that the universe is benign & that it has no interest in making any of us suffer. Rather, it simply provides opportunities every moment of everyday for us to grow in consciousness. And if we don’t recognize these moments, the universe doesn’t give up!With that in mind, we’re tasked right now with recognizing the pain of injustices that curtail the rights of both individuals & groups. And to begin to recognize we must push back against such injustices, or we’ll continue to be subjected to additional onslaughts against our rights, such as the right free speech. We’ve witnessed an outpouring of grief on many different levels since the Pisces New Moon total lunar eclipse & during this monthly lunar cycle’s last week. But the main one was the silencing via murder of an outspoken conservative who used religion as a shield to justify his prejudices against those he did not like. The aftermath of his murder brought grief, pain, & suffering to both those who followed him AND those who KNOW that killing someone because of his speech is morally WRONG.And not only wrong, it’s unconstitutional, at least here in America. As Kirk’s death began to sink in amongst the masses of both his followers & his critics, the powers that be began to curtail the speech of his detractors which has resulted in the stifling of voices such as late-night comedic talk show host Jimmy Kimmel. So what began with an outpouring of pain & grief has culminated in a discussion of how our current political polarization has wounded us—as evidenced by September 16’s Mercury quincunx wounded healer Chiron, Venus’s trine to Chiron, & Mars’ opposition to Chiron.By September 17, however, the pushback against allowing anyone other than conservatives to speak freely began as Mercury in Virgo opposed Saturn retrograde in Pisces on September 17. Mercury then entered Libra & opposed Neptune retrograde in Aries, & trined Pluto in Aquarius September 18. In addition, Venus in Libra quincunxed Saturn in Pisces & the Virgo Sun quincunxed Chiron in Aries then too.GRIEF OVER THE ASSASSINATION OF FREE SPEECHQuincunxes are 150-degree aspects between planets, which makes them so far apart that they do not recognize or “see” each other. Most astrologers agree they are indications that an adjustment must be made. Like needing to turn your head to see what’s out of your immediate range of peripheral vision, a quincunx alerts us it’s time to look both ways before proceeding. In this case, as these quincunxes begin to register, they are waxing us toward this next solar eclipse. Mercury also trines Uranus & Pluto, Venus enters Virgo & quincunxes both Neptune & Saturn, squares Uranus, & quincunxes Pluto. In addition, the Virgo Sun opposes Saturn in Pisces, & ALL of these aspects occur between September 18 & September 21 in the lead up to the upcoming solar eclipse. Instead of parsing each of these individually, let’s simply analyze what’s occurred in the collective as we reach the end of this month’s lunar cycle, shall we? What we have in fact seen--& are in fact experiencing now--is a rude awakening to the extremes that divergent political stances can bring. Even to the point where ignoring—or worse yet, excusing--gun violence by rationalizing it as a necessary by-product of such polarization because conservatives believe it’s an expression of our rights as American under the Second Amendment. So, as we approach the 29’05” Virgo New Moon solar eclipse at 12:54 p.m. PT & 3:54 p.m. ET on September 21, it might then be a good time to engage in meditation, prayer, or mindfulness about what Mercury, the Sun, & the Moon’s oppositions to Saturn & Neptune at this eclipse are asking us to do.Again, the collective is mirroring the answer back to us right now, and that is to resist pressure against our constitutional rights, most importantly the right to speak out. On September 15, as we waxed toward Mercury’s quincunx & Mars’ opposition to Chiron September 16 & Mercury’s opposition to Saturn September 17 Pam Bondi, the Attorney General of the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) said the following in an interview posted on Youtube:“There’s free speech, and then there’s hate speech,” she announced while declaring that federal law enforcement will “go after” Americans for hate speech. The problem? There is, in fact, no hate-speech exception to the First Amendment. The First Amendment in the U.S. Constitution says the following: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”The fact is that the First Amendment was set up by America’s founders to restrain the government, not individuals. In other words, the Supreme Court has parsed out in many cases what is acceptable under the First Amendment & what is not when it comes to both the government & individuals. Speech inciting “immediate violence” is prohibited under this amendment, but political speech is protected. For more on this--& remember, it pays to know the facts--see: https://constitutioncenter.org/the-constitution/amendments/amendment-i/interpretations/266In any case, it’s now time to adjust our thinking as per all of these quincunxes & to push back against these oppositional threats to our constitutional rights—including that of free speech as it exists under U.S. constitutional law. By the time Mercury entered more negotiable & comprisable Libra on September 18, Bondi was forced to “walk back” her words about “going after” Americans for constitutionally protected “hate speech.” TIME TO FIGHT BACKThe other important transits happening around this solar eclipse is that Mars, which moves into Scorpio just before the Sun enters Libra at the fall equinox on Septembers 22, is waxing toward its third quarter “crisis in consciousness” waning square to Pluto in Aquarius on September 24. This podcast explores the history of this Mars/Pluto cycle from its  beginning in February 2024 until now, so tune in for more! But basically, in the common parlance of a born & bred New Yorker, the response to Pam Bondi’s threats against free speech--& as a trained lawyer & the Attorney General for the state of Florida before being appointed head of the DoJ Bondi CLEARLY knows better—“dem’s fightin’ words!”All of these oppositions & quincunxes point now to this solar eclipse’s culmination. That’s because, according to astrologer Ronnie Dreyer, it’s energies technically began when the transiting true nodal axis reached the 29’05” Virgo South Node position circa January 22/23 only days after the inauguration of President Donald Trump. In total, the question now is can we plant seeds that lead to the further clear sighted analyzation of what’s occurred since January of this year that’s blocked us from being protected by established constitutional law? And, can we muster up the energy necessary now to fight back before it gets even worse?U.S. history tells us we can. But it’s going to involve leaving behind any confusion about what’s going on now, calling a spade a spade, & formulating a pragmatic, logical plan to uphold our rights as Americans. In short, we’ve done it before & we can do it again, but we must wake up to reality & understand we can’t give up without a fight.Tune in to all of this & more Astro News You Can Use, starting today @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingSee you then! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS SEPTEMBER 12 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingThis week’s podcast focuses on the fall out from Uranus station retrograde & Pisces Full Moon total lunar eclipse of September 6 & 7, respectively, along with this week’s upcoming Sun/Mercury superior conjunction & third quarter monthly lunar square. And phew, what a week it was! As astrologer Ronnie Dreyer noted in early September, when Uranus stations retrograde along with an eclipse, the week or two leading up to & after these astro events can be filled with all sorts of shocking events. It's common knowledge among astrologers that the themes of eclipses often make themselves felt prior to when they are exact. Combined with the retrograde station of Uranus, it seems that the chaotic, violent events of the past two weeks certainly prove this to be true. This podcast explores the nature of this past week’s shocking events--from earthquakes in Afghanistan that killed 2,200 people & ones off the coast of Oregon, to the fall of prime ministers & other high-level officials in France & Japan. And then there’s the protests by Gen Z members that torched a government building & killed 22 in Nepal, leading to their prime minister’s resignation. From Russian drones violating NATO’s airspace in Poland to Israel’s attempted assassination of Hamas negotiators by targeting them in Doha, Qatar, to the murder of right wing political activist Charlie Kirk in Utah, such shocking events illustrate a whole lot of violence in a short period of time.Of course it doesn’t help that transiting Mars in Libra has been waxing closer to its exact opposition to dwarf planet Eris, the goddess of chaos, discord, & strife, & wounded healer Chiron—both in Aries—which perfect on September 15 & 16, respectively. Goes a long way to explaining the current chaos—much of it born of violence, not only in the U.S. but around the world. We explore these details, along with a look at Charlie Kirk’s untimed birth chart to determine how Mars was conjoining his natal Libra Sun/Jupiter conjunction as Eris & Chiron opposed them. And then there’s the fact that the upcoming 29’05” Virgo New Moon solar eclipse—activated circa January 23 when the transiting nodal axis hit that degree--falls on his 28’23” Venus in Virgo on September 21. Part of the theme of this fall’s eclipse series is linked to concerns about the health of someone young—as per traditional astrologer Bernadette Brady in her book “Predictive Astrology, The Eagle And The Lark.” I think we can all now see the veracity of this given that Charlie Kirk was only 31 years-old at the time of his murder on September 10.And let’s not forget that on September 11 the Brazilian Supreme Court convicted former President Jair Bolsonaro of overseeing a failed conspiracy to overturn the 2022 Brazilian election in a coup plot that included disbanding courts, empowering the military and plotting to assassinate the then president-elect. SUN/MERCURY SUPERIOR CONJUNCTION: THERE’S STILL HOPE TO DEVELOP A BETTER FUTURE PLANWhen the Sun conjoins Mercury in Virgo for their superior conjunction on September 13, between now & Mercury’s next retrograde station on November 9 is a time “when a completion of action stage dominates,” according to Jungian astrologer Erin Sullivan. “The maturity of projects, ideas, & actions has arrived & the…direct phase is an opportune time to recap the full rewards available,” she explains in her book “Retrograde Planets, Traversing the Inner Landscape.” “Though still a forward moving time, it is a thoughtful time, too, one which requires more deliberation before initiation.” During this period “Mercury says there is still hope to develop a better plan than the one from the past.” Hopefully democrats will feel this energy & heed the message from Brazil that something similar may happen here in the U.S.—eventually…Meanwhile, this eclipse series is also associated with potential “important paperwork,” according to Brady. It should not surprise us then that the public has become privy this past week to never before seen documents related to sex trafficker & pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. And to his convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell. And that these include not only the Epstein Foundation-released now infamous “birthday book,” but also a trove of 18,000 emails between Epstein & Maxwell (& others) made public between September 8 & 11.As we await the September 21 Virgo New Moon solar eclipse, which opposes Saturn retrograde in Pisces & Neptune retrograde in Aries, we first have the Mercury/Saturn opposition on September 17. JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S "ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING" PODCAST WHICH DROPS SEPTEMBER 5 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingAs we head toward this week’s Pisces Full Moon lunar eclipse on September 7, we know we’ll be seeing not only the emergence of the themes of this month’s set of eclipses, but also the stark reality of how they are manifesting at this point in time. The themes of all eclipse series generally manifest within the collective before their arrival. And this month’s eclipses—including tomorrow’s September 7 Pisces Full Moon lunar eclipse which occurs at 15-degrees & 23-minutes of this empathic sign of collective energies at 11:09 a.m. PT & 2:09 p.m. ET—clearly illustrate this. It’s been at least since February 21 when Attorney General Pam Bondi promised to release the Epstein “list.” Subsequent actions & reactions have taken place since, but the interest in bringing justice for the perpetrators of Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse of hundreds—if not thousands—of young girls & women—has been prominent in the news since. This month’s set of eclipses—both the September 7 Pisces Full Moon lunar eclipse & the Virgo New Moon solar eclipse on September 21—carry the same themes. Eclipses generally belong to a set of two (sometimes three) which occur twice annually & are defined as a part of the longer-term Saros Series. Each series has its own interpretation.“This Saros Series appears to be concerned with the bringing to the surfaces of long-term worries about loved ones, health, or issues to do with paperwork or communication,” according to astrologer Bernadette Brady who’s analyzed the meanings of Saros series eclipses in her book “Predictive Astrology, The Eagle And The Lark.”“This could manifest as a worrying piece of news about a loved one or responsibilities with paperwork coming home to roost. Any news will have a sense of destiny or fatedness about it,” she concludes. As those of us who pay attention know, “release the Epstein files!” has been a cry heard throughout the collective for months. However, it’s as the themes of this eclipse series began to manifest that these cries have grown louder, to the point where survivors of Epstein & Maxwell’s abuse whose health has suffered from it, have now decided to make themselves known the world. The survivors of Jeffrey Epstein & his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell took to the steps of the U.S. Capitol on September 3--only days before the September 7 lunar eclipse--it was to implore Congress to pass the "Epstein Files Transparency Act." Doing so would “force the release of all unclassified records related to the disgraced financier held by President Donald Trump's administration,” according to Reuters. "This is about ending secrecy wherever abuse of power takes root," said Anouska De Georgiou, a former model and actress who was one of about ten self-described Epstein victims who spoke about her experience at a press conference outside the U.S. Capitol." Newsweek ran this story after reporting on what was said during this Epstein survivors’ press conference on September 3, starting with this headline: “'We know the names'…Victims threaten to compile own list of abusers” The article continues: “ Jeffrey Epstein survivor Lisa Phillips said that she and fellow victims planned to compile their own list of abusers from within the disgraced financier's friends and associates, after the Trump administration denied the existence of an Epstein "client list." "We know the names. Many of us were abused by them," she said at Wednesday's Capitol Hill rally.”As Brady noted in her book about this series of eclipses: "Paperwork coming home to roost," anyone???Be sure to join us for all this Astro News You Can Use--& more about this series of eclipses—such as the years during which they occurred in the past, which might jog your memory as to whether they factored importantly into your life then! (I know they did mine!) In addition, we discuss the repercussions of Saturn’s recent retrograde back into Pisces, the Mars in Libra square to Jupiter in Cancer, Uranus’s station retrograde at 1-degree Gemini, & the events they’ve already triggered. As well as events related to the upcoming September 5/6 station of Uranus retrograde combined with its closeness to the September 7 lunar eclipse. These include the 6 magnitude earthquake in Afghanistan, which has caused 2,200 deaths to date, the defiance of international law by the Trump Administration when it “blew up” the Venezuelan boat it “suspected” of carrying drug cartel Tren de Aragua gang members & killing 11 aboard in international waters in defiance of internationally excepted maritime law (Saturn Rx in Pisces; Neptune still in Aries, anyone?)And then there’s the number of legal cases ending Trump’s unlawful use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport immigrants without due process by declaring the U.S. has been invaded & it “at war” & the judicial smackdown of his claim that he can unilaterally impose tariffs on any country he chooses without Congressional approval. And the judicially directed "unfreezing" of the $2.2 Billion the Trump Administration had withheld in funding from Harvard University. And…so…much…more!Tune in to “Karmic Evolution’s Astrological Speaking” podcast, which drops today, September 5 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingor on any of your favorite podcast stations for deeper astrological analysis of all this! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS AUGUST 29!  We’re now heading into the first quarter monthly lunar square late August 30/early the 31st, according to your time zone, since the August 22/23 Virgo New Moon which urged us to take care of ourselves in order to be healthy enough to then be of service to others. However what’s become overwhelmingly clear since then is how this lunation also asked us to plant seeds that lead to greater discernment, aka, becoming true critical thinkers. As we’re doing this, more numbers—statistics & data—are emerging making us more consciously aware of using our ability to discern what’s fact & what’s fiction. As always, this podcast looks back before moving forward to better see clearly in hindsight what energies have triggered what might come next. So, as we waxed toward the Sun/Uranus square August 24, Venus entered Leo August 25--& then exact opposed Pluto in Aquarius August 26/27—we’ve experienced some shocks & surprises. One related to the plan to infiltrate of federal troops into Chicago, others related to firings of top officials at the Federal Reserve Bank, & the Centers for Disease Control (CDC)--& yet another violent school shooting in Minneapolis, Minnesota. As we move toward a more “tell it like it is” phase of discernment as part of this Virgo New Moon monthly lunar cycle, we’re experiencing also the intensity of emotions around such events. This podcast looks at the factual events that have occurred this past week, including the Venus/Pluto opposition’s position in the U.S. Sibly natal chart & its relationship to capitalism as we’re still undergoing the U.S. Pluto return’s already triggered energies. This podcast discusses the intensity of the backlash by blue state’s governor’s against President Trump’s current power grabs, as well as the VE/PL opposition’s repercussions to limit the foundational freedom of governmental agencies & others. We also witnessed the firing by President Trump of the Federal Reserve board member, Lisa Cook, on a “non-proven” claim of mortgage fraud, thus endangering the independence of the U.S. federal bank which its had since its inception.Likewise for Trump’s firing of the head of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) now under the control of vaccine denier Health & Human Secretary Robert F. Kennedy’s control. More children will now contract & possibly die from Covid, which is currently rising now as we approach the fall, as the CDC, now filled with kooks & non-medically trained sycophants. Measles diagnoses, once thought under control in the U.S., has also been rising slowly but steadily in the recent past too.All of this as we approach the upcoming wounded healer Chiron’s conjunction to Eris, the goddess of discord, chaos, & strife by October 9. That these two, both now retrograde in Aries, will conjoin again next year, does not bode well for calm & continuity in the short term as we finish out this year & begin the next one.  Then there’s the horrible mass school shooting in Minneapolis, MN, after the Venus/Pluto opposition perfected on August 27 that sparked yet again the call for “thoughts & prayers” for the two children shot to death & the 17 others wounded in the church of the Annunciation Catholic school there. Reality bites, as they say, & when Uranus sextiled Neptune August 28, we received the opportunity to grow in consciousness, assuming we recognized the facts that led to any revelations born out of reliable Virgoan statistics & data. The question becomes: Are people waking up to not only the creeping authoritarianism in this country AND that it’s time to FINALLY legislate effective gun control. This sextile notes that the universe can lead us to the waters of consciousness, but it cannot make us drink. Meanwhile, the first quarter monthly lunar square of the Sagittarius Moon to the Virgo Sun August 30/31 reveals the tension between Sadge Moon’s urging expansion of our critical thinking skills to “call a spade a spade versus the quest of the Virgo Sun for “perfection.” The latter represents “telling it like it is,” while the former is wishful “pie in the sky.”When Saturn retrograde reenters Pisces September 1, we’ve the opportunity to review what truly makes us feel secure & to ask ourselves whether we find security only in our material world. Or whether, deep down in our soul, we have the security of knowing that—no matter what happens we can always take care of ourselves & survive.Mercury then enters discerning Virgo on September 2 (until October 6) & promptly squares Uranus in Gemini September 3. Are more sudden announcements coming—perhaps ones that precede or precipitate more communication around movements of federal military troops into our cities. And will that that spark an even more intensely explosive reaction than those from Governor’s Pritzger & Newsom of IL & CA, respectively, to date, as Mars in Libra exact squares Jupiter in Cancer on September 4?Keep an eye on the fact that Mars in Libra first squares Jupiter in Cancer exact @ 18’35” on September 4, but then begins to wax into an opposition to Eris at & then Chiron. That happens on September 15 when Mars in Libra opposes Eris at 25’28” Aries, & then Chiron @26’12 Libra to Aries on September 16.That we are in for a longer period of chaos & discord—both born of our previous wounds & potentially causing future wounding—seems clear since the exact Chiron/Eris conjunction in Aries won’t occur until October 9. Not what we want to hear, at least here in America, but to be forewarned is always the potential to be forearmed. Consider this waxing Chiron/Eris conjunction now as akin to the opportunity presented by Paul Revere to the colonists as he alerted them to the invasion by the British on April 18, 1775…Join us for all this & more Astro News You Can Use @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking as we move toward the September eclipse season, staring with the Pisces Full Moon on September 7 & Uranus’s station retrograde September 6!See you then! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS AUGUST 22 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking. As we approach the Virgo New Moon at 0’23” Virgo at 11:07 p.m. PT August 22 & 2:07 a.m. ET August 23, we’re asked to plant seeds that allow us to take care ourselves, so we can remain healthy enough to then be of service to others. This is an especially important message now because, in addition to the Sun’s entrance into Virgo & the Virgo New Moon today, we’ve got another one coming on September 21--which also happens to be a solar eclipse! And, in addition, the transiting nodal axis’s Virgo South Node has been in play since January 2025 & will last until July 2026, asking us to let go of the Virgo archetype’s less than desirable traits.  In short, we’ve got a whole lotta Virgo goin’ on! This podcast takes a deep dive into all things Virgo-related, including its positives, negatives, & this archetypes’ correlation with sacred geometry & numerology, & the mathematical belief that nature & the universe are all part of a perfectly divine order.  The Mercury-ruled Virgo archetype includes, among other things, understanding that we’re not on this earth to strive for perfection because, well, if the universe is already perfectly designed & we are part of that perfect design, then we’re ALREADY PERFECT!Thinking we need to constantly strive to reach a level of perfection denies this universal belief. And that means continually striving for perfection proves antithetical to our understanding of ourselves & the world around us. That’s because the concept that there is such a thing as “perfection” only causes feelings of inadequacy which, in turn, produces feelings of shame & guilt since we’ll inevitably believe we’ve always fallen short in the end. That this Virgo New Moon follows last month’s Leo New Moon lunar cycle which asked us to recognize our special uniquely creative talents as an individual, we’re asked now to recognize that as individuals we need to remain as healthy as possible. And that means physically (Virgo is an earth sign, after all), mentally (Virgo is ruled by Mercury), emotionally, & spiritually. Isn’t it better to understand we are all different from each other & therefore each of us is perfect in his or her own way? And, once we’ve realized this, we can then make headway toward taking better care of ourselves now so that we have what it takes to take care of others when the time comes. This podcast discusses the importance of the Virgo archetype to us all right now. We look at the benefits of realizing that we’re all part of the divine universal order & therefore perfect—even in all our imperfections. And how continuing to strive for perfection simply obscures & delays our knowledge that we are already there…So, we’re reminded now that we cannot be imperfect beings if we are one with a universal energy that comprises the geometric perfection of nature & everything in it. Think: Golden ratio; the Fibonacci sequence, & the symbolic nature of numbers which form astrological divisions of the circle, & numerical aspects between planets, etc., & you’ll begin to conceptualize the importance of the earthy Virgo archetype as a means to better understand not only the world around us but ourselves. The currently transiting Virgo SN, however, has been asking us since January of this year to let go of Virgo’s shadow side archetypal energies, which include being overly critical, & the feelings of shame & guilt as a result of feeling inadequate when we fall short of being “perfect.” We’re witnessing this shadow side obsession with perfection here in the U.S. right now as we watch anyone deemed “imperfect” being jailed, deported, or otherwise abused within the collective. Name calling & labeling (read: categorizing) for the purpose of weeding out imperfection is nothing more than a negative Virgoan trait that deprives those deemed as “others” to be considered less than human therefore not deserving of dignity or rights. Similarly, the focus on numbers right now highlights how statistical data can be used to manipulate—especially when such data is “faked” by those who want people to believe that “nothing is but what is not,” as Shakespeare wrote.TIME TO CHANGE OLD BELIEFS & RAISE OUR CONSCIOUSNESSThis Virgo New Moon is accompanied by a mutable square of both luminaries in Virgo to Uranus in Gemini, which the Sun perfects on August 24. We’re likely to experience a sudden change of some kind then, perhaps including a sudden announcement from a prominent person, given that all planets involved are now transiting through a Mercury-ruled sign.Meanwhile, we explore the deeper meaning of the yod forming too from the Virgo Moon & Sun to both Saturn & Neptune in Aries & Pluto in Aquarius, as well as that of the sextiles between Saturn & Neptune to Pluto. The Saturn/Pluto sextile presents us all with the opportunity to “understand the forces that make you an individual,” according to astrologer Rob Hand in his book “Planets in Transit.” “You know exactly what you can demand of yourself, and you push yourself to the limit, but not beyond,” under this influence, he explains. “Consequently, this can be a time of great achievements.” Focused energy is recommended so that your “energy hits exactly the right target,” Hand advises. This applies both to internal & external work, he adds. Combined with the longer-term Neptune/Pluto sextile—which has been around off & on since 1950 & will be strong again from 2026 through 2032-- we’re starting to see “larger forces for social change” happening around us that may ultimately “prove that beliefs and opinions you have held all your life are invalid,” agrees Rob Hand. Therefore, “this is an opportunity to clear away the deadwood in your brain & start over again,” he concludes. Since both NE & PL are known as collective planets, this bodes well for society in general, as does the UR/PL airy trineWhen Venus enters Sun-ruled Leo August 25, we’ve got a prouder louder orientation toward our partnerships, but also the potential to forget about those we don’t feel are worthy of our love, respect, or attention. And when Venus then opposes Pluto in Aquarius August 26/27, depending on your time zone, the astrological recipe changes to one of potential emotional manipulation. Emotions intensify if/when we realize we’re being forced to submit to the power of a group opposed to our individual freedoms. However, as Uranus waxes toward its exact sextile Neptune on August 28, we’ve the opportunity to rise above—or to use--this intensity to help open our minds to higher levels of consciousness. That’s because between now and then we may begin to transform our ideals, aims, & objectives, according to Rob Hand. “As your consciousness evolves, you will begin to associate with others whose views are similar, so that you can reinforce & strengthen each other’s insights,” he notes. The bottom line is that this particular sextile helps us rise above orthodox religion & other more mundane Saturnine-type belief systems & allows us to benefit from a more spiritual understanding of our world through metaphysics such as astrology. This is because more rigid analyses of the world will not suffice now. And this jibes as well with the yod formed at this Virgo New Moon whose outlet point is the 9th H (under expansive Jupiter’s natural rulership) in Neptune-ruled Pisces, which includes the expansion of collective empathy.Tune in for all this & more Astro News You Can Use--There’s a lot to unpack here, so be sure to have a listen! @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking starting today, August 22!See you later! JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS AUGUST 15 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking. This week we explore the true meaning of this month’s lunar cycle from the July 24 Leo New Moon opposite Pluto in Aquarius, which asked us to plant seeds to better understand we’re each here to evolve into the solar, creative, unique, individual we came here to be. And not to be intimidated out of that quest through manipulative coercive disempowerment tactics by the powers that be.So we knew from the beginning of this current monthly lunar cycle that it wasn’t going to be without its struggles to maintain our individuality against those in power. It’s important to remember that the Leo archetype is about not hiding one’s light under a bushel, so that one can ultimately contribute one’s unique creativity to the group for the purpose of the betterment of humanity. It's also important to understand that this month’s lunation was accompanied by the beginning of the long-term trine of Uranus in Gemini to Pluto in Aquarius. And that this airy trine aspect in the sky makes its presence felt from now until the fall of 2028—aside from some brief times when it loosens a bit during that period. And that means that what we’re experiencing during this period is a slow evolutionary process accompanied by many “aha!” type moments. We’ll also see Uranus retrograde back into 29-degrees Taurus--known as the Pleiades point, associated with blindness—by November 7, though he’ll still then maintain an out of sign trine with Pluto in Aquarius. So, Uranian revelations may well include suddenly learning where we’ve been blinded to what’s really been happening as part of Pluto in Aquarius’s evolutionary process to empower us all as individuals who stand together. America was built on the “E pluribus unim” motto, which means “out of many, one,” adopted at the signing of America’s Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. When the Scorpio Moon squared the Leo Sun August 1 at the waxing first quarter “crisis in action”—which was accompanied by Venus’s square to Saturn & Neptune & her quincunx to Pluto—we witnessed the beginning of our understanding that we the people were being manipulated. That’s because this is when Donald Trump fired the U.S. Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics that day based on his dislike of the real unemployment numbers he then sought to fabricate into different, better sounding numbers. He also terminated the head of the Internal Revenue Service, again an indication of trying to control numbers, in line with the fact that Mars in Virgo was conjunct the transiting Virgo South Node at the Leo New Moon. After that, the August 9 Aquarius Full Moon square to Juno & Vesta in Scorpio asked us to release any tendencies toward Leo’s shadow side. And that meant letting go of any selfish tendencies to disregard the specialness of each individual soul by lumping them together into a group of undesirables. By that time, Trump had re-imposed higher tariffs on 90 different "partner" countries, though by August 11--as Mercury stationed direct again in Leo & Ceres stationed retrograde in Aries (square to the Venus/Jupiter conjunction in Cancer)—he delayed tariffs on China. In other words, he TACO’d out, again…Many reputable financiers & economists predict a rise in the already high prices of imported goods—particularly at the grocery store & via automobile sales, etc. It’s clear now that tariffs hurt American consumers as much if not more than foreign producers in the form of increased costs/prices across the board. Now, this week’s third quarter “crisis in consciousness” stubborn Taurus Moon, in tension with the monarchical tendencies of the Leo Sun, asks us during the waning portion of this month’s lunar cycle to stand our ground against the powers that be that try to define us as “less than.”What we see now on the ground in places like Washington, D.C., as federal troops & the FBI first joined--but now try to supersede the authority of--the local police there, is people beginning to protest against the authoritarian takeover of the U.S. capitol.Going back to the initial message & meaning of this month’s lunar cycle since the July 24 Leo New Moon opposite Pluto in Aquarius, we can see now at this waning third-quarter square that we’re asked to stand our ground as a wannabe tyrant tries to manipulate & control us all. The want us to believe that resistance in futile, but American history tells us otherwise. The presence of federal troops in U.S. cities reminds us of the time when British monarchy demanded that colonists house British troops in their homes. Known as the Quartering Act of 1774, this became of the Intolerable Acts which helped light the fuse that fueled colonial resentment towards British rule which ultimately contributed to the growing tensions that led to the American Revolution. Hence, the "invasion" of illegal immigrants Trump has used as an excuse to federalize our local police by taking over our cities is actually a federal invasion of citizens' local & state rights as the national government flood cities with federal troops, the FBI, & Immigration & Customs Enforcement's gestapo-like henchmen. In other astro-news, we have also today's "crisis in consciousness" third-quarter lunar square's summit in Anchorage Alaska between Trump & Russia's dictator, Vladimir Putin. Given the astro-energies at play, it seems likely that Putin--who already believes he has the upper hand in any peace talk negotiations--will stand his ground, thus continuing to disempower Zelensky's Ukraine. And given the fawning relationship of Trump to Putin, it's highly likely that Trump will once again flip-flop to turn against Ukraine, especially since the Moon will enter Gemini & conjoin Uranus there on August 16. Perhaps then Trump will drop his quest to be nominated for a Nobel Peace prize for his efforts to bring peace to Ukraine. There you have the shadow side of the Leo archetype in a nutshell...Next week, we see the arrival, late on August 22 or early August 23 depending on your time zone, of the Virgo New Moon at 0’23” Virgo. This lunation, following the Leo New Moon opposite Pluto’s monthly lunar cycle, continues our quest to honor the “E pluribus unim—out of many, one” U.S. motto into the future. As the longer term Uranus/Pluto trine evolves us back into a nation of individuals who understand that there’s safety in numbers, the Virgo New Moon asks us to plant seeds of better self-care. Why? So that we can then better be of service to our fellow humans beings who may be even more in need of our help as we continue to stand our ground against the tyrannical powers that be. Tune in for all this—including a deeper dive into the meaning of Uranus/Pluto trine, the definitions of Juno & Vesta, a look at Ceres retrograde--& more @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking starting today, August 15!See you later, namaste…
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingFOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS AUGUST 8! We discuss how this August 9 Aquarius Full Moon reflects the light of the Leo Sun back onto itself, thus exposing its shadow side: Excessive pride & arrogance. The Aquarius Moon—when it arrives at exactly 17-degrees of Sun-ruled Leo at 12:55 a.m. PT & 3:55 a.m. ET on August 9--then asks the Leo Sun to release any hubristic tendencies to act like a powerful but selfish & uncaring king. This lunation’s square to Juno in Scorpio mirrors back to us the tension  of the current power struggle over whether America is still based on a partnership between its government--created originally by & for the people--or a monarchy under the rule of a tyrannical king. This lunation makes clear we’re still under the recurrence of energies of the U.S. natal Sibly birth chart’s Pluto return, begun in February 2022, that kicked off its original quest for independence. And that we’ve got a long way still to go, but that if we band together against such uncaring energies which disrespect our right to individual freedoms, only then can we save our nation from reverting to its original roots before its creation, that of an selfish & unstable monarch. This week’s podcast recaps the Astro News You Can Use from the beginning of this month’s lunar cycle on July 24--because only by looking back can we know how we’ve arrived at where we are today, which, in turn, helps us better plan our future. We look at the deeper meaning of the current Leo New Moon’s monthly lunar cycle, which asked us to plant seeds that honor our individual, creative, solar selves on July 24. Next, we note how its opposition then to Pluto in Aquarius portended power struggles, & how it has manifested thus far. Especially as we waxed past the Sun/Mercury retrograde inferior conjunction of July 31, the first quarter monthly “crisis in action” waxing square of the Scorpio Moon to the Leo Sun, & the delusional square of Venus to Neptune & the dissatisfying one to Saturn August 1 & 2.We note the many announcements made since this Sun/Mercury Rx conjunction—starting with Donald Trump’s firing of the commissioner of the Bureau of Labor & Statistics on August 1. Such a move, on the heels of the Venus squares to Saturn & Neptune, reeked of a king who chose to kill the messenger rather than pay attention to the actual message, without a care for his partners. This, in turn, leads to the inability of Americans to trust the data coming out of its formerly trustworthy government agencies in charge of such economic statistical analyses. More examples in this podcast! And that leads us to other August 1 announcements such as the one from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting that it will shut down next year. Then there’s the news that convicted sex trafficker & pedophile Ghislaine Maxwell was moved to a “Club Fed” prison after her recent meetings with the U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche, Trump’s former criminal attorney in 2024 when Trump was convicted in the NY Stormy Daniels hush money case. What’s becoming clear now also since Uranus entered Gemini on July 7 is the public’s change in perspective. That means a change in opinion, as the Trump/Epstein scandal becomes the monster that just won’t die. Meanwhile those formerly supportive of Trump begin to turn against him as they hope against hope that he will adjust his grip & “release the Epstein files” as Venus quincunxed Pluto August 1 & 2, too. That this is symbolic of the energy of tomorrow’s Aquarius Full Moon square Juno in Scorpio, as Mars opposes both Saturn & Neptune August 8/9 & creates a huge amount of frustration & a sense of impotence a la “but what can I do about any of this?”It's clear that under the SA/NE in Aries energies that boundaries continue to erode. From those between the federal government & the people it’s supposed to represent; the boundaries between federal & state governance; & those between our military—designed to fight an external enemy—who invade our local borders & our city's streets. This becomes even more obvious since the FBI has now been tasked by King Trump to hunt down Texas democratic state legislators who refuse to vote for gerrymandered maps that further curtail the right of Black & brown people to equal representation when it comes to voting. Never mind if it's legal to use federal FBI law enforcement resources this way…The ultimate message of this Aquarius Full Moon, however, is that when we stand together as a group & face the bully, there’s ultimately more power in numbers than in that of a weak, narcissistic wannabe king. Together we stand, divided we fall would be this month’s full Moon message--& that we cannot succeed if we do not even try.Hence, as America government becomes increasingly autocratic, it becomes ever more evident that the only way to stop this is to band together to fight the authoritarian powers that be. Whether that ultimately means masses of people protesting together to get their message across, or worse, is yet to be determined. What’s clear is that now is not the time to back down. However, it’s fine to take a break, especially from social media—much of which under Uranus in Gemini is filled with propagandist BS, even from the left--& withdraw, for a little while. Strengthening our critical thinking skills is what’s it’s all about over the next seven years as Uranus in Mercury provides the ability for sudden revelatory insights as information becomes more a tool of distortion than one of fact. In the short term, as Mercury stations direct in Leo on August 11, we have the ability to regroup, observe & begin to pay attention. As more people become increasingly aware of what’s going on around them, more will join the fight. And what’s most worth paying attention to, according to this Aquarius Full Moon is that none of us is alone in this obvious astrological recurrence of the quest for American independence from tyranny IF we all stick together.Join us starting August 8 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking to hear more astrological details that further illustrate how Americans are being disenfranchised around the world as former trade partners change their perspectives of what America truly is: A friend or an enemy given the current trade wars. OIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ FOR THIS WEEK’S ASTROLOGICALLY SPEAKING PODCAST WHICH DROPS AUGUST 1 @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speakingThis podcast explores how the sexual scandal emanating from Jeffrey Epstein's pedophilia and trafficking of underage girls has gained traction within the collective since the Leo New Moon opposite Pluto in Aquarius monthly lunar cycle began July 24. And how now at the first quarter monthly lunar square’s “crisis in action” of the Scorpio Moon/Leo Sun square on August 1 tension around this subject grows.Meanwhile, we look at wounded healer Chiron’s retrograde in Aries on July 30 & explore what’s occurred in the collective since, along with how Venus’s entrance into Cancer that day has led to expressions of compassion for those who suffer. Take, for example, the declaration by the 22 League of Arab Nations at the U.N. for Hamas to end its rule in Gaza, hand over its weapons to the Palestinian Authority, & with international engagement and support, align with the objectives of a sovereign and independent Palestinian state,” that was signed by all 27 European Union states and 17 other countries on July 30. Coincidence or not, this was the day that wounded healer Chiron stationed retrograde & Venus entered compassionate, nurturing, Moon-ruled Cancer—which puts the current focus on children. As in the victims or sex trafficking AND the starving children in Gaza due to Israel & the U.S.’s insufficient method of distributing food aid there to date.July 31’s Sun/Mercury retrograde’s inferior function in Leo also led to the announcement by U.S. President Donald Trump of a new tariff deadline of August 7 for most nations who trade with the U.S.. Part of the Saturn/Pluto in Capricorn cycle’s global realignment begun in January 2020, this announcement seeks to make the U.S. more isolationist rather than more committed to its previous global trade partners. It also has seriously negative implications for the U.S. economy as a revised job report shows a decrease in unemployment and a rise in the rate of inflation. We take a deeper dive into the meaning of this Sun/Mercury Rx inferior function during this podcast, which many will find enlightening, so have a listen as it’s implications are for our personal lives, too…Meanwhile, Mars will enters Venus-ruled Libra August 6, posing the potential for some new negotiations that may better balance the scales in terms of global agreements on things like, you know, tariffs. Or at least we might hope so..."ONLY MAD DOGS AND ENGLISHMEN GO OUT IN THE NOON DAY SUN." ~ Attributed to Rudyard Kipling, but origin unverified…We examine also the current heliacal rising of fixed star Sirius (the Great Dog, or Canus Major) between July 3 & August 11 & its mythological roots, including that when Sirius rises in conjunction with the sun, the ancients believed this combination of the sun during the day and the star Sirius at night was responsible for the extreme heat during mid-summer.”In Greek mythology, Sirius was linked to the faithful hunting dog of Orion. Hellenistic astrology connected this period with heat, drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever, mad dogs, and bad luck, & the hottest, most uncomfortable part of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. Astrologically, however, it's associated with success, leadership, and passion, while also being a source of inspiration and a warning against unchecked power. Hmm, “unchecked power,” eh? Now who do we think of when we hear that phrase, especially as the current Saturn/Neptune pair run close together in Aries right now, proactively dissolving previously solid foundational structures?Like in the U.S. Government, for example, as a compliant GOP-ruled Congress obeys in advance & kowtows to the executive branch, & the judicial branch struggles to maintain its previous independence out of respect for, & adherence to, its legal decisions. We explore more about this during this podcast…Finally, we explore the deeper meaning of the Aquarius Full Moon’s call on August 9 to release any attachment to an aggrandized sense of self-worth & value at the expense of freedom for groups of individuals that would better mirror Aquarius’s quest for humanitarian progress. Expect some dissonance later this month as this lunation—which has the Aquarius Moon reflecting the light of the Leo Sun back to itself, revealing its shadow side—squares Juno (the wife or partner) in Scorpio. It pays to remember that “hell hath no fury like a woman scorned” as we follow the progress of the case of convicted sex trafficker & perjurer Ghislaine Maxwell as she begs for the Supreme Court’s attention to her case, which they have agreed to “discuss” in September.  Be sure to tune in to https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking for the latest podcast that drops today, August 1! See you there! Namaste…
JOIN SHERI HORN HASAN @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking FOR THIS WEEK’S PODCAST "Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive," Sir Walter Scott's narrative poem "Marmion" would seem to be the perfect right now, not? This week’s podcast illustrates how events since Neptune’s July 4 retrograde & Uranus’s entrance into Gemini July 7 suddenly reveal like lightning strikes that lies & conspiracies can prove to be damaging in the end for those who spread them.Neptune retrograde pulls back the veil on past lies & deceits, exposing the truth, while Uranus in Gemini leads to sudden changes in our perspective & opinions. Take the whole “climate change is a hoax” promoted by fossil fuel & coal companies dependent upon profits to continue to exist rather than take the more progressive & humanitarian route to segueing into clean energy. And then there’s the QAnon conspiracy begun in 2017—which followed Pizzagate from 2016—which sparked the belief in millions of Americans of a pedophile ring run by the “deep state.” Next we have the conspiracy that the 2020 election was “rigged” by Donald Trump, the man who lost it. Leading even more millions of Americans to believe this lie & to the January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection by protestor who were conned into believing the U.S. presidential election results were a “hoax.”But now, we have seen the “deep state” & it’s being run by the very same people who used to be on the outside claiming they would punish those responsible once they were on the inside. However, NE Rx says “not so much—slow your roll, it’s time for some FACTS to emerge now so we may receive true clarity!”Rumors have begun about the MAGA crowd burning their l’il red caps in disapproval of the U.S. Department of Justice’s--basically run by the White House in direct contrast to the mandated separation of powers in this country—refusal to make public the infamous “Epstein Files.”All this as we’ve been watching the close transit of Saturn & Neptune in Aries dissolve the foundations upon which the truth actually lies. As this government makes more and more funding cuts to programs necessary for its citizens’ survival like FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency—under the guise that such funds fall under the category of “waste, fraud, & abuse”—more people will likely die as positions remain vacant & climate change continues to wreak havoc.Hopefully we will be reviewing the situation between Mercury's station retrograde in Leo from late July 17/early July 18 to August 11, which calls us to use our creative inspiration to find ways to create a better future. The Sun then enters fiery creative Leo, the sign it rules, on July 22, reminding us all that individuation—or taking steps to BECOME the true individuals who we came here to be—is of paramount importance now.By the Leo New Moon--which occurs July 24 at 2-degrees & 8-minutes at 12:11 pm PT & 3:11 p.m. ET--exact opposite Pluto in Aquarius, we’ll be tasked with attempting to empower ourselves by fighting manipulative attempts that continue to try to control us through lies & conspiracy theories. We’re tasked now with planting seeds to stand up to such manipulations & to use our own creative resources to figure out how to disempower the manipulators rather than allow them to disempower us. Breakdowns in relationships may occur now, especially with those in positions of power who’ve lied to us. And such breakdowns will likely lead to a change in our perspective & opinion about such people who vowed to protect us from a predator who we may now discover was actually in cahoots with those who claim they can “save” us from them and their ilk.Join us @ https://www.karmicevolution.com/astrologically-speaking for all this & more Astro News You Can Use, as we take a deeper dive into the meaning of this upcoming Leo New Moon opposite Pluto, the waxing trine between transiting Uranus & Pluto, & the continuation of the retrograde parade with Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, & Mercury all appearing to swim backward at the same time. We also explore Mars conjunct the Virgo South Node squared by the asteroid Hygeia, the female goddess of health just as a medical condition from which Donald Trump suffers is revealed. Is it serious? The powers that be say "no," but then again, they've been lying about other stuff, right? Join us for all this & more starting July 18! See you then! Namaste….
