During this week's episode you get Christmas in July! The theme of this week's message is to encourage those that are dealing with a hard week, a hard month, or their mind is causing them to have difficulty in the faith and with life. This is something I too struggle with, and God spoke to me with an implementation of the 7 R's:RenounceRemindReleaseReigniteRememberRest RecoverFor each aspect I provide scriptural evidence that will allow life to be spoken back into you. The Christian Walk is not easy, but we are not left defenseless. When life gets us down, we have to remember to fight back with Truth and with the Word of God.I know this episode will strengthen someone - as it has helped me in my own journey. Remember you have the living God inside of you to live this life out. Sometimes we just have to be reminded of who we are in Christ to remember that. This week's product of the week: Just Ingredients Grape Electrolytes! Thank you Lyssteners for tuning in!This week I delve into what repentance is by definition, how to apply it, and some scriptural evidence of how amazing it is.So often, we believe that by knowing we've sinned that must mean we've taken accountability. Repentance shows us that it is a not only acknowledgment of our wrongdoing, but a complete turn to God. Rather than turning from our wrongs, we turn TO the Savior. A rest day is not just gym culture coded - this is a basic Biblical principle. God does not simply suggest that we rest, it is a requirement of the Christian faith. We must rest from our works as God rested from His.The greatest example we have of rest in the Bible is God Himself. Even He, the Living God, rested from His works. How much more are we to rest?In this episode, I discuss how important is it to rest and that it is a posture towards the Lord when doing so. We also discover through Scripture that God blesses, sanctifies and protects rest! It is a gift God has given us and it is something to be cherished. How important it is for our Salvation to rest in Jesus' presence and to allow Him to recover us from our works and set the tone for the future. How beautiful would it to be to see people in society boast about the Lord providing us the opportunity to rest on social media, rather than boasting of our works? This week's message is meant to encourage. uplift and strengthen you. With the ups and downs of life, we have one constant - Jesus. Hope and trust are what faith is all about. We hope that Jesus will come, we trust that God will prevail. To exhort and encourage you is what we're called to do as believers. Speaking life back into you is what my mission is with this week's episode. I hope it turns your day around, maybe even your week. I hope this lights within you a deep burning fire for Jesus and that you have faith in the things you cannot see and feel joy in the depths of your soul. The answer to life is Jesus. I pray for you to find Him in the midst of it all. 0:00 Introduction1:30 Girls Gone Bible5:18 Product of the week & announcement8:44 Recap of Last Week's episode 12:26 Proverbs 15:1317:11 Matthew 6:2520:00 God Will Give You What You Can Handle40:41 Invite God Into the Little Things49:00 Ending PrayerIf you loved this episode, follow me!♡ Follow the podcast on Instagram: @AuthenticallyDivine♡ Follow my personal Instagram: @Alyssamdee♡ Listen & watch on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6cXOePTEOe9c8gdpve1Xet?si=23b4787530584cde♡ Listen & watch on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@AuthenticallyDivinePodcast♡ Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/authentically-divine-with-alyssa-davis/id1790269851I am now a part of the Just Ingredients creator program! Prayer is our first line of defense. It is the most powerful weapon we have when it comes to making change, for others to be healed, for our minds to remain focused on Jesus. It is not something to be mocked, nor is it something to stop when society does not understand its value.Brothers and sisters, the world needs prayer now more than ever. Never stop praying. Pray fervently and with purpose. Your prayers reach Heaven's gates and are even stored! Our world is going through pain that only prayer has the ability to shake. When we see the events that we know deeply hurt our society and grieve our souls, we must turn to prayer. Prayer is hope. Prayer is the hope for a better future and a better tomorrow. Dwell with God in all of it. Praise Him, pray to Him for healing, and advocate for others through prayer. Prayer is power and we must wield the weapon of strength that it is. For when the world turns dark, only light can expel it.0:00 Introduction5:47 Opening prayer 10:32 My definition of prayer16:07: Definitions of prayer by my brother & sisters in Christ22:56 Examples of prayer in scripture31:40 Our prayers are heard and stored in Heaven34:02 How prayer impacts my lifeIf you loved this episode, follow me!♡ Follow the podcast on Instagram: @AuthenticallyDivine♡ Follow my personal Instagram: @Alyssamdee♡ Listen & watch on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6cXOePTEOe9c8gdpve1Xet?si=23b4787530584cde♡ Listen & watch on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@AuthenticallyDivinePodcast♡ Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/authentically-divine-with-alyssa-davis/id1790269851If you'd like to sponsor this podcast, email me: AuthenticallyDivinebyad@gmail.com My intro & outro were created by my friend and artist: Nosh! Ep 36: Fear is NOT the truth.God does not give us a spirit of fear. Fear is not the truth. The Word of God is the Truth. God does not give us a spirit of fear. But of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7Fear and anxiousness are from the enemy. God does not cause fear. He provides wisdom to us. NOT anxiety, NOT fear. Recognize the thoughts that come in and be presently aware of what feeling they're invoking. We must be aware that our mind is a battlefield. God equipped us with Jesus, thus allowing us to have the Holy Spirit that yields power over our thoughts.Use Jesus to defeat the feelings of fear, anxiety, worry, doubt etc. You are not only fighting off these feelings for yourself, but you're fighting off the feelings for others when taking authority and praying for others too! The fight is for Jesus. It is the most worthwhile fight.Perfect love casts out all fear.If you loved this episode, follow me!♡ Follow the podcast on Instagram: @AuthenticallyDivine♡ Follow my personal Instagram: @Alyssamdee♡ Listen & watch on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6cXOePTEOe9c8gdpve1Xet?si=23b4787530584cde♡ Listen & watch on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@AuthenticallyDivinePodcast♡ Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/authentically-divine-with-alyssa-davis/id1790269851If you'd like to sponsor this podcast, email me: AuthenticallyDivinebyad@gmail.com My intro & outro were created by my friend and artist: Nosh! Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22: 37-40These commandments are the foundation to being a true and devout Christian. Loving God with all of our heart, soul and mind, and then loving your neighbor as yourself. Without these two in place, everything else that is practiced as a Christian is negated. We can give to charity, we can pray for others, we can talk about how much we love God, but if we are not fulfilling these commandments, we do not have a solid foundation to our faith.I labeled this episode as "Let's Get Back to the Basics." because God created for us a perfect design on how to live and we will only flourish if we follow alongside those guidelines. They're put in place because He has given us the ability to live here on Earth with purity and joy when accomplishing these; with His help of course.I build off of the basics in this episode because that is the way to learn. You first want to understand the concept, and can add everything else in after. It is like we're making a sweet baked good for our family and friends. The recipe calls for flour to be the most abundant ingredient. If we don't build off the top needed ingredient, we will not be able to make the best offering to others that we can.Jesus' teaching is this. He provides us the groundwork, and from there we can build. If we need his help, he's right alongside us, offering assistance at any time we need. (Which is quite often, as we're the imperfect ones, and He's God.) I hope this message encourages you to follow God's perfect design, and faithfully give your all to Him to abide in what He has taught us. This week's episode is a further reflection of the Grace that God has. By His Grace I am made new. I am free from abusing alcohol for 2 years. HALLELUJAH!Episode 2 was posted in January 2025 but recorded months prior showing where I was 8 months into my sober journey. I discuss things I noticed within myself looking back on that video to where I am over a year later. Itis the most beautiful thing that I get to share my journey with you in real-time and also have the ability to look back on it myself to see the changes made.I've never been freer, never been more joyous, never been so eager to start my day since God delivered me from alcohol abuse. For those that don't know, my first sip of alcohol was in middle school. My party scene started shortly thereafter. I didn't know how to off the party bus which led to black outs, regrets, shame, anxiety, and a complete loss of my identity until after my 26th birthday. There is freedom in walking away from things that do not serve you or your soul. I pray this message hits home and shows that there is a door waiting to be opened and behind it is the version of yourself you've never met, a version that is free from vices and addictions, and a version that stands strong and resilient in the face of adversity. Ep 33: Walk on Water

Ep 33: Walk on Water

2025-08-2022:51

This week's episode I dive in on Matthew Chapter 24 regarding Peter walking on water to Jesus! The Bible shows us that if we keep our eyes, our mind, ourselves focused on Jesus while going through a storm, something troublesome, something difficult, we too can walk on water. I used examples of not allowing the thoughts that come through your mind to allow you to be distracted and focus on something other than Jesus. While we enter into uncharted territory - the miracle of walking on water - we have to face our fears and trust in the Lord. He can and WILL keep us afloat. If we happen to look outside of Jesus during these times, have no fear. Jesus has his arm and hand out waiting for you to grab ahold of him. Faith is not easy, but if we look at Peter being associated with the miracle of walking on water, we can know in our hearts that it is possible for us to do the same. Approach God boldly, and walk on the water, even if it seemingly does not make sense to you, or to others. There is beauty of His Kingdom on the other side of it! Ep 29: Year 28.

Ep 29: Year 28.

2025-07-2351:02

The year that I have felt the most connected to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This is a year of restitution, restoration, and reflections. Restitution because I have given my life back to my Creator to whom it does belong to. Restoration because I am going through a process of refinement to heal past pain and mindsets and to be who my Father has called me to be. Reflections because I see where God's hand has been on my life; every memory is accompanied by His goodness and His everlasting grace.I look around at the people in my life: my amazing boyfriend, family & friends, my puppy, my home, my surroundings and lifestyle, the ability for my body to be active daily and the great health of all of those around me. I've recently felt this deep appreciation for the stature of my life. I have deeper appreciation for the mundane & the simplistic moments - the moments that happen in time that don't make it to Instagram because I am living - truly living, and with a momentous amount of joy. The reason for the contentment, the joy, the peace and gratitude are because I look around and I see God in everything. I see the joy of Him reflected in everything. This year has a monumental foreground because it is full of contentment. I've been living with contentment in my heart for the first time in my entire life at a grand scale. Because of this, I see the glory of God in everything that is and was and is to come.My one and only birthday wish is that when people see me, I pray that they see Jesus in me and through all that I do. Everything else that I have is a bonus to the beautiful life that I've been granted.1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. This week's episode is about our choice to follow Jesus. When we do, we have a responsibility to obey his commandments. I titled this live well suffer well, because ultimately this is the Christian life. We will endure suffering. But with that suffering, we are always paired with peace that surpasses all understanding.Topics discussed today include:-Recap of the last 2 weeks: What does from self-help to His help really mean? and Who is Jesus to you?-Knowing our role as a Christian-Freewill-Obedience-Fruits of the Spirit-Scripture-based teaching of how even Jesus endured suffering, paired with obedience to the FatherThis episode was divinely presented to me as an opportunity to share the love of Jesus and why I choose to pick up my own cross and follow him as a daily practice. I pray this message meets your heart! In this episode you will find a totality of love for Jesus, our Lord and Savior.I read scripture of His crucifixion and bring attention back on what He endured for you and I. The love He has for you and I, is more than one can imagine. I depict the love I have for him by sharing parts of myself that are vulnerable, yet so very real, my testimony. I wouldn't be able to do anything if it wasn't for Him changing my everything.0:00 Introduction1:00 Tour the new studio6:33 Who is Jesus to you?11:08 The Ultimate Sacrifice31:11 Jesus died for you!37:00 Jesus changes you42:31 Examples of the love for HimIf you loved this episode, follow me!♡ Follow the podcast on Instagram: @AuthenticallyDivine♡ Follow my personal Instagram: @Alyssamdee♡ Listen & watch on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6cXOePTEOe9c8gdpve1Xet?si=23b4787530584cde♡ Listen & watch on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@AuthenticallyDivinePodcast♡ Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/authentically-divine-with-alyssa-davis/id1790269851If you'd like to sponsor this podcast, email me: AuthenticallyDivinebyad@gmail.com My intro & outro were created by my friend and artist: Nosh! In this episode I provide a perspective that is not often heard: questioning the way society is. From self-help to His help is a term I've coined for this podcast specifically. I delve into what this means for me. I was fully saturated in the "need to know everything": what was wrong with me, how to fix all of the things society was putting pressure on me about. I gripped onto the self-help books for my life. I was stuck in a perpetual state of believing something was inherently wrong with me. I had gone to therapy for years and was on a pursuit searching for an answer. I didn't find the answer until years later. It wasn't until God was spoken back into my life that I had FREEDOM. Where did this freedom come from? It came from learning that I was beautifully and wonderfully made in God's image. And yes, life happened to me, but there was nothing wrong with me. I didn't need to continue self-soothing, self-sabotaging, self-medicating. Nor did I need to continue to dive deep into the self-help books wondering what can be uncovered to feel better about myself.God is the answer. He is so patient, gracious, kind, caring and knows our hearts, our brokenness, our desires, and what brings us joy, and He gives us a place to rest when the world becomes too heavy. When you recognize that we serve a living God that knows our ins and outs, we no longer feel the power of the self but rather give up the control to Him. In a world full of therapy, botox, injections, Ozempic, weight loss programs, self-help books, medication, and an influx of information at all times, how do we find the real answers to our problems, as none of these are offering any reconciliation. Perfectionism breeds fear. It makes you feel frozen in time. It causes you to feel shame. There is freedom in being imperfect and freedom in authenticity. I pray this episode blesses you! Welcome back to another Lysstener's Edition! This week's episode I give a short synopsis of the importance of waiting. God's best is given to us with time, and with maturity in Him.When we structure our wants and desires and place them in God's hand, he delivers us with things our minds could never have created for ourselves. His best is far greater than what we could imagine it to be.I reflect on the journey I had in January 2025 when my boyfriend and I were looking to adopt a rescue puppy. We faced so much resistance from one rescue company and tried to force it, until one of us realized and said "Hey this is definitely not from the Lord." When you realize that God gives His best and nothing is forced, it takes the pressure off. Every time I've allowed God to formulate my steps and wait for His best, I am stunned at how amazing He is.Nothing is wasted in the waiting season. I created this episode for you, but it also serves as a great reminder for myself. <3 If you loved this episode, follow me!♡ Follow the podcast on Instagram: @AuthenticallyDivine♡ Follow my personal Instagram: @Alyssamdee♡ Listen & watch on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/6cXOePTEOe9c8gdpve1Xet?si=23b4787530584cde♡ Listen & watch on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@AuthenticallyDivinePodcast♡ Listen on Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/authentically-divine-with-alyssa-davis/id1790269851If you'd like to sponsor this podcast, email me: AuthenticallyDivinebyad@gmail.com My intro & outro were created by my friend and artist: Nosh! In this episode I discuss how each one of us are vital to the community. The people you know, and the people that you see in passing; we are all connected. I focus on in-person community and its importance to our survival in our entirety. Seeing people, talking with others, sharing our struggles and our victories together is what we're called to do. We were never meant to walk this life out by only knowing people virtually and more importantly, we were never meant to be made to feel we had to go through life alone.Rest in peace to my dear friend Greg whom my community lost last year. I stress the importance of how community is meant to be able to be relied upon, and how your life is valuable to those around you. The time is now to show compassion, kindness, love and care for those around us. I encourage you to ask the hard questions, invite family and friends into the struggle, and see the beauty of community the way that God had intended for us. I aim for this episode to open your eyes, your mind and your heart to see the people around you and to pull you out of this self-centric world we're living in. We cannot do this life without you, and we cannot do this life alone. If you or someone you know is having a hard time in life right now, just know that my prayers are being laid out in front of God for you as you're reading this. Welcome back everyone to another video episode!Being still and being present is such a gift that we oftentimes cannot seem to fit into our schedule. The rush of the day to day seemingly takes over day by day. I am here to say that we can find still moments, and we can set apart time in our day to achieve them.Coming from personal experience (as always) being still with God provides a treasure our hearts long for. The stillness is when we can experience the most peace, which is why I believe our world is trying so desperately to remove that from our vocabulary. Peace on earth is attainable, and I happen to know a guy that gives it out freely; his name is Jesus. I discuss removing distractions, setting timers - similar in the way of my Habits episode, but this episode is catered towards the understanding of how beneficial being in the stillness really is.I review certain statistics regarding stress, and ways to implement healthy practices for both your mind and your soul to rest into. Get it, rest into, since this episode is all about being still and resting. Once again, I always appreciate your support and am grateful you're reading this. This week’s episode is a Lysstener’s Edition so it is shorter and will allow you some freedom to listen at your leisure. In this episode I discuss how we are created by our Creator: God. Because we were made in God’s image, in His likeness, we too are creative.Being creative is an essence of who we are. Being creative doesn’t have to come with expectations of profit, but rather openness and freedom of being yourself. I discuss being able to use curation of our social media pages and ability to search to find help in any avenue we’re intrigued on can be used to our advantage. Thank you for supporting this podcast!
