Awesomonster is a Chicago-based sketch comedy troupe formed in 2009 comprised of Logan Conner, Tom Lalonde and Nicholas Taylor. The troupe once performed at numerous venues and festivals including Obbityfest, the Chicago Center for Performing Arts, iO, Tonight It's Llive with Tom Bambara, Gorilla Tango Theatre, and have been featured alongside great names of the Chicago underground comedy scene including, the Puterbaugh Sisters, Beth Stelling, Cameron Esposito, Sherman Edwards and more!
Awesomonster’s previous series of shows, The Game Show of Hell, The Iron Prince of A-Team, Guess Who’s Coming to Murder and The Last (and therefore best) Comedy Show on Earth played to sold out houses in numerous venues throughout Chicago and debuted at the Gorilla Tango Theatre One of their first videos “Nationalized Karate” sketch was a semi-finalist in Metromix’s So You Think You Can Funny competition. They were also in the running for the Chicago Reader's Best of Chicago 2011 survey under "best sketch / improve troupe," but lost to their arch-enemy Octavarius.
