Hey all!We've been away for a while, but don't think that we haven't been doing anything whilst we've been away. We have something a little special for you. Back in April we managed to sit down with Sheila Majid, but we never got the chance to air the interview. So for those of you who went to see her over the weekend, or didn't - and for those of you with Sheila Fever, this one is for you. In this candid interview Sheila speaks about the state of the music industry here in Malaysia, the state of the economy, education, and how she took 3 years to decide what would be on her latest album offering 'Boneka'. Azrul Zainal and Omar Aiman are childhood friends and have been playing music together since their high school days, naturally led them to form their band, Jaggfuzzbeats in 2014. They've recently released their debut album, Rest Now, which features 8 tracks including reworks of their demos. They tell us more about their songwriting process and bring us up to date on where we can catch them live.
At just 20 years old, Arisha Rozaidee has already published two books. Her first book, “The Prisoner of Sorrow”, is a collection of poems and short stories published when she was 16. Arisha went on to self-publish a chapbook in 2016 called “Sandpaper Heart”. She can be found performing spoken word poetry at open mics when she isn't busy studying to get her degree in English. We find out more about her inspirations for her stories and poems.

The founder himself, Josh Teng, taught himself to code before joining a boot camp in Silicon Valley to fortify his skill set and is now well-versed in multiple languages. Indrani Kopal was an online video journalist before inevitably being drawn towards the art of documentary filmmaking. Her documentary “The Game Changer” has been accepted into seventeen film festivals and won the best documentary award at the prestigious Cannes’ American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase.
An event manager with 30 years of experience in the Malaysian entertainment industry, Jennifer Thompson has had the pleasure of working with a huge number of local and international artistes. When we were trying to get her on the show, she said that "every day is so unpredictable" but she still managed to squeeze in some time to answer a couple of questions like why she chose this line of work, whether it's as hectic as we imagine it to be and if it is, how she handles the pressure.

Joanne Kam was on That Time of Night during its early days and now she's back with a new friend who flew in all the way from Singapore, Sharul Channa! They're here to promote their show which features an all-female comedy lineup called Super Kam Ultra who are performing at the LOL Fest 2017. The crazy pair also compare the differences and similarities between the stand up comedy scenes in Southeast Asia and the West.
The list of experiences in Nadira Yusoff's resume include managing director of Girls in Tech Malaysia, CEO of Nadi-Ayu Technologies, business development director of Saora Industries, and that's not even the end of the list. She seems to be a role model in the making, and we're interested to know why she chose to take the path that she has, and who and what has motivated her to do so.
Free Tree Society is based on very simple principles - they take seeds, sprout them, look after the seedlings, then give away healthy little plants to the public for free on environmental holidays. We'll be talking with the president of the society, Baida Hercus, about the motivation of the project and what, if any, the endgame is.
