Chelley Chelle attended community college for 10 years, left with no degree but became an expert in networking and building community. She started a comedy career which was very successful very quickly.  Chelley Chelle has performed at the Comedy Store several times, the Laugh Factory and all over the country. After constantly being sexually harassed for stage time, her love for comedy dwindled, and she started Les Talk Radio. Les Talk Radio has connected with thousands of QPOC (Queer People of Color)  and black queers. Chelley Chelle  advocates for recycling of black queers dollars and has spent over $20,000 of her own hard earned money in the community. Ronnell began AfroBuenaventura Transformative Travel in 2016 after a trip to a remote fishing village on Colombia's Pacific coast. There, he witnessed youth celebrating the pride they have for their African roots during a folklore festival. On this episode of BOI Meets Wellness, Evolve Benton interviews Kortney Ziegler.  Kortney Ryan Ziegler is an American entrepreneur, filmmaker, visual artist, blogger, writer, and scholar based in Oakland, California. His artistic and academic work focuses on queer/trans issues, body image, racialized sexualities, gender, performance and black queer theory. He is the creator of the blog blac (k) ademic, and the film STILL BLACK: a Portrait of Black Transmen. In 2017, Ziegler and Tiffany Mikell co-founded Appolition.us in order to help incarcerated Black people return to their families by allowing users to round up purchases to the nearest dollar and donate the funds to bail funding efforts. The app was supported through crowdfunding after a tweet from Ziegler got attention in  July 2017. Today you can find Kortney trading bitcoin, lifting weights and sharing his thoughts on twitter. He is currently crowdfunding $100,000 for Black Trans Elders. On this episode of BOI Meets Wellness, Evolve interviews Patricio "Pat" Manuel (known as "Cacahuate" in the boxing world).  Pat  is the first professional male boxer who is transgender. He debuted with Golden Boy Promotions on December 8, 2018 and won a four-round decision in the super-featherweight division.  Prior to transitioning, Pat was a five-time national champion in the amateur women's division, participating in the first-ever US women's Olympic boxing trials in 2012.  Pat’s story has garnered major press, including the front page of the LA Times, coverage through HBO, Time, People, USA Today, Newsweek, NPR, NBC, BBC, Sport Illustrated and ESPN. In 2019, he made another historic first by becoming the face of Everlast Boxing Equipment.   On this episode of BOI Meets Wellness, Evolve Benton interviews E. Cameron A. Pizarro III. E.C. is an award-winning Brand Designer and Digital Artist. He uses his talent and skills to brand companies for maximum profit and success. Cameron is also the current National Executive Director of Alpha Omega Kappa Fraternity Inc. and former Supreme Historian & Webmaster.   Having won industry leading awards like the Marcom Award 2016 and 2017, gold and platinum winner respectively, he has faced and prevailed over many challenges. In 2017, he was also a presenter at the first TransTech Summit, where he taught attendees the basics of logo design and comprehensive creative thinking. Most recently, he received the Emerging Leader Award in 2019 at the Inaugural National Trans Visibility March, for recognition of his work in the design industry and his work as their founding Director of Social Media & Marketing.   In his efforts to positively affect the future and advancement of the Black trans community he has co-founded a digital resource listing called Marsha's Web. He consistently uses his work and talent to highlight and celebrate the beautiful intersections of the Black trans community.   Currently living in Florida but raised in Somerset, NJ he carries that straight forward talk and charismatic smile that the north is known for.
