this has happened to me I have 3 God sons with my x best friend that I've none for 20yrs. and she is my 2 kids godparent well she ended getting remarried and he now husband does not like me so she cut ties with me and my kids but I do follow the kids on social media. plus I have 1 godson with my 1st husband sister that I haven't seen for over 8 plus yrs and since I have a new husband that's it's nothing and plus my parents are also godparents to one of my x sister n law as well and they never see her either. I have a total of 8 god kids. we were told it's an honor to be asked and that when you are asked you are not to turn it down at least that's how it was from the part of Mexico my parents grew up at.
