This podcast helps listeners understand that what is in our heads impacts us; it discusses effective strategies that can be used to transform negative thinking. (A Talk with A King™) Lessons on Helping Young People Deal with Destructive Peer Pressure with Veteran Educator, Husband, and Father, Reginald Brock

Here's some GOOD news: We can save troubled, inner-city youth, but we cannot make excuses for destructive behavior. While there is a cause and effect to everything, understanding why the problems exist don’t lead to condoning them. In this thought-provoking episode, veteran educator, husband, and devoted father, Reginald Brock, shares the ways he was able to navigate the mean streets of Chicago and not succumb to negative peer pressure. Having good mentors, especially good parents; getting the right people to teach character; and moving children out of toxic environments are just a few of the solutions discussed. (Money Matters) Money Tricks (Part 3): Credit

For some people, getting credit is as American as apple pie and baseball. Generally, we don't have the money to make big purchases, so we get loans and credit cards to help us. However, we usually end up paying for an item twice or multiple times after the fees and interest are added to the principal. While it's often difficult to avoid this money trick, it is possible. Some of the solutions to this problem is saving money, spending less, buying only what we can afford, and living within (or below) our means to circumvent this ensnaring pit of debt. At the same time, credit can be a financial paradox because if you are disciplined and savvy, it can benefit you. Listen and learn.
