Bad Wives Club

Welcome to The Bad Wives Club! We’re Libby & Liz — two best friends bringing our phone conversations straight to your speakers. We talk about the good, the bad, and the real life of marriage and motherhood. We’ve been through it all together for over 15 years—growing up, growing families, and figuring out life one stage at a time. We’re not professionals, just two moms keeping it real and leaving the expert advice to, well… the experts. Tune in weekly to hear all about how we juggle our daily lives as working moms, all while confidently NOT doing it all (*insert husband here*)!

79. The Great Fall Debate

Happy September or Happy New Year?! Feels like the new year for us... fresh start and new routines. We're doing a fun little rapid fire of questions today about all things fall! Closet cleanout vs. buying new staples, looking cute vs. homeless at drop off, PTA Moms or avoid at all cost, fall trip with or without the kids, best fall dates, scents, flavors, etc. ! Tell us what your answers are to these questions in the comments section - we want to hear from you!

78. First day of Pre-K, Technology & Unknown Number

Happy Thursday, Bad Wives! We're recapping our first week back into the new routine - how the littles did their first week in preschool, youth sports (and struggles that come along with that) and the routine we've been craving. Libby watched "Unknown Number" so we discuss this INSANE story, which leads us to such a scary part of parenting in our day in age - technology and cyber bullying. Engage with us in the comments with your thoughts on todays episode, we love hearing from you guys!

77. Back to School Unfiltered

Welcome back to the BWC and Happy September! We hope you all enjoyed your last week of summer, and are ready to hit the ground running with this new school year!  We're recapping our final weeks of summer - cape days and slow days, and how we are transitioning back to school. Liz had the BEST stay in Harwich - you can book her exact house that she rented through this link with New England Vacation Rentals. (PSA - booking direct through a vaca rental manager vs. air bnb is cheaper because you avoid crazy fees!) Delilah and Rocco are in pre-K, so we will keep you updated on those nervous jitters!  We get into the whole new labubu craze and how we struggle with wanting to give our kids everything vs. saying "no" to the silly fads (shoutout to Raw Kickz who Liz mentions!) We discuss the scary part of sending our kids to school (prayers to all those affected in the Minneapolis shooting), and how we want to protect our kids without completely sheltering them.  There's a town in MA that got rid of all homework for elementary school - do we love that!? And what are your thoughts on kids calling us by last name? Let us know in the comments section!

76. When the Juice is Worth the Squeeze

We are back with a part-two of last weeks conversation! On todays episode, we are focusing all on how the avoid drama in your 30's, the difference between avoiding drama versus people, how to say "no" when your social battery is completely drained, and how to distance yourself from others without the dramatic breakup or villainizing friends. We got so many messages from our listeners, so we incorporated some anonymous messages we received into the episode to discuss our thoughts and opinions. Leave us a comment on this episode if you loved it!

75. Manifesting The Next Chapter

In this episode of the Bad Wives Club, we’re looking ahead and calling in our next chapter — from big-picture life goals to next summer’s dream plans (including Liz renting a house in Aruba for a month!). Libby admits she’s not usually the “manifesting” type, but she’s ready to lean into the spiritual side to see if she can attract a little more magic into her life. We share how we’re protecting our peace in our 30s, setting boundaries, and dodging unnecessary drama. Think vision boards, beach houses, and living life on our own terms, somehow and someway!! If you loved this episode, don't forget to give us a 5 star review and subscribe! Love you guys!

74. TSITP & a little pop culture

The Summer we turned obsessed with teen drama...!! The Summer I Turned Pretty has some low key advice on grief, which led us into the conversation on how Liz is doing lately and how much she has learned to live with grief and be the best support system for her sister over this past year. We turn it back to some light and funny conversations about the new Real Housewives of Rhode Island and our speculations as to who is on the cast, and then how much we are over the Miami drama! You guys all wanted a car review, so at the end you'll hear our recap of the new cars we both recently got! If you loved this episode, please leave us a review and hit the follow!

73. Mamas Mid-Summer Meltdown

this episode had us LOL'ing from start to finish! Do you ever just feel like you're DONE?! Yeah, well so do we, especially now that we are a little past the midpoint of summer, and ALL rules and structure have been thrown out the window. We definitely vent about how our lives feel completely out of control right now, the type of moms we are right now, and how we plan on getting back on track. Liz gives us some great insight on how she's learned to build trust with her 7 year old, and how empty threats just need to go. We hope you loved this episode, we sure did!! 71. Fruit Juice Makes me Uncomfortable

Happy Thursday, Bad Wives! On this episode of the Bad Wives Club, we pick up where we left off the week before — some life updates, the wild world of toddlerhood with Delilah and Rocco soon entering their “threenager” era (tantrums and all). Liz vents about some recent husband moments (you already know the kind — this peach juice moment though…), and we talk through the mental load us women carry…and whether men are just… more present? Honestly, we don’t know what it is but they just don’t stress the small things as much as we do! And it adds up enough to drive us crazy sometimes. Plus, we answered some of your listener questions: finances, homeownership, and imposter syndrome..we get into it with vulnerability, honesty and some laughs as always. Hope you guys love!

66. Road Trip Confessions

How well do we really know each other? Let's find out! We ask some really fun questions, and not just like "what's your favorite color"? We're getting DEEP and JUICY. What does Liz do that annoys Libby? What's something you judged a woman for in the past? What's something that you believe in that most people don't? What are signs that each of us are spiraling? Is there something you've ever done (or thought of doing) that you didn't tell me because you thought I'd judge you? What day would you relive in your life? Oh and the fun part - if our personalities were a cocktail, what would be in it ?! If you loved this episode, let us know in the comments and leave us a 5 star review!! 65. A Humbling yet Eventful Week

Libby survived 10 (or was it 12, 14, or a month?) days without Joe home for the first time ever and we are happy to report that she lives to see another day. The Karen Read trial had an eventful week with the prosecution bringing in "expert" witnesses that did absolutely nothing for them, but we are recapping the bombshells that came out of this past week. Body By Brabants has a lot of exciting new things coming your way, and Liz is here to tell you all about it!Liz made a special discount just for our Bad Wives Club listeners: Use code BWC20 for 20% OFF sitewide at bootybybrabants.com — but hurry, it's valid for first-time customers only! 64. A Summer Pep Talk to Ourselves

The pressure of filling your summer calendar with endless trips, camps, and all sorts of plans can be A LOT. As we head into summer, we're talking about our different approach this time around - less f*cks given to what others are doing, less pressure to plan vacations, but more effort made to actually slow down! Although we may not be able to shut off completely with work,we all know how impactful a slow and peaceful morning can be, so why not re-evaluate our busy schedules? We can in fact find a way to incorporate time to enjoy the warm weather during the week days too, to just relax and enjoy our families company in our backyard rather than in a pool in Greece (although that would be nice, too lol) If you loved this episode, please leave us a 5 star review!Follow us on instagram @badwivesclubpodcast and TikTok @badwivesclub

63. Reality Check - Husbands Aren't Mind Readers

We’re wrapping up our Q&A series with one last listener question—and it’s a good one. This week, we’re talking about what it really looks like to ask your husband for help (without losing your mind in the process). We share how we’ve learned to communicate better in our marriages, why it took us longer than we’d like to admit, and why expecting them to just “know” isn’t always fair. He’s a great guy—but he’s not a mind reader. We talk patience, partnership, and how our expectations have shifted as our husbands have grown into fatherhood. If you’re newly married, a new mom, or just feeling stuck in the cycle of doing it all—this one’s for you. And yes, there are plenty of laughs along the way.If you liked this episode, please leave us a 5 star review! Follow us on Instagram @badwivesclubpodcast and TikTok @badwivesclub

62. Court is in session! A sister's take on the Karen Read trial

Okay, you guys have been asking Liz to bring her sister, Kristen, onto the podcast to talk all about the Karen Read retrial, so after a wild second week, we figured what better time to recap! With week 2 of trial 2 in the books, we dive deep into everything going down in Commonwealth v. Karen Read. Kristen takes her position as "stay home juror" very seriously, so she's giving us her opinions, sharp observations, and a local's perspective on the biggest true crime case rocking our hometown. We cover the major players in the case—from Jennifer McCabe, to Brian Albert, and other key witnesses, to Judge Beverly Cannone, defense attorney Alan Jackson and Canton Police. 57. FAFO Parenting, Pacifier Breakups and the Great Dog Escape

Happy Thursday BWC! We're frazzled this AM with the never easy task of moms leaving the house - of course Libby has a story of what just transpired before recording started, which evolves into screen time, Ipads, rough play amongst boys, and sibling relationships.  We talk about that not-so-new parenting style "FAFO" (F*ck around and find out!) and agree that none of us are the most gentle parents. We talk about the difference between catholic vs. public schools, which route may be the best fit for our children, and why. Delilah had a MAJOR breakup with her pacifier, so we get into that whole discussion of how Liz and Delilah handled that situation like a champ! All up until....the great dog escape at the Fragala household that lead to ticks and injuries! We end this episode talking about "wind down" supplements that have been helping Liz manage her anxiety. 56. Mom squads, confident kids & the Vegas trip neither of us were on

How many stories can we tell in 30 min?! ALOT. Liz survived solo-parenting all while her husband was on a "work trip" in Vegas, following his every move. With a solid community of moms around her, she not only had many helping hands, but she also was thrown a curve ball (in the best way!). She tells us a really heart-warming story about her son being brave and confident, dealing with friendship dynamics head on. Libby wraps it up with the only excitement of her week - the doomsday of her husband opening her packages. We are working on our adult emotions around the kids, so here is your reminder to always apologize for losing your cool around the littles! If you loved this episode, please leave us a 5 star review!
