In this episode, Jennie and Jill discuss:
The “why” that got Jill into direct sales and the decision to take it seriously as a business that spurred her success.
Getting beyond the soft market of family and friends and finding a team who are interested in their own success and willing to do the work it takes.
The blessings and surprises from focusing more on service than sales during COVID-19.
The importance of taking advantage of opportunities for training and growth for yourself and your team.
Key Takeaways:
Being grounded in your “why” helps keep you focused and drives your path to success.
Someone out there wants and or needs what you are selling, don’t get stuck on the ones who don’t.
Providing customer service that goes above and beyond brings rewards on not just a monetary level, but also on a deeper level of connection and purpose.
Success requires consistency and constant striving to grow and improve.
"The biggest thing that I have told myself through all this is that I've got to give myself grace. And I also have to trust my ability in what I do as a consultant and a human being and providing excellent customer service. And again, going back to my why, which is helping people within and beyond the walls of my home. And as long as I'm staying true to that objective, and staying true to me, I know that this is all going to come back and come back to me whether it's monetarily or not." — Jill LudingtonAbout Jill Ludington: I am passionate about helping others feel confident and loved in their own skin. I help others just BE YOU through empowering with education and knowledge in theatre, open and affirming the LGBT+ community, and skincare. In this episode, Jennie and Donnie discuss:
How Donnie walked away from a huge salary at a multi-million dollar company to follow his own dreams.
Figuring out how to switch from operating as an employee to operating as a business owner.
How being a guest on a podcast started a chain reaction that changed everything.
Accepting the inevitability of things going wrong, and learning and growing from it
Key Takeaways:
Follow your own dreams, not someone else’s!
It’s your business, you are the one who needs to lay all the groundwork.
Shit is gonna break, you just have to figure it out and keep going.
Have a vision bigger than yourself. Fight as if you don’t care if you live or die. Step into your fear.
"If something's good It's the fucking universe saying go that damn direction. Because it's not about overcoming the fear. It's about who the fuck you become going through it. Yeah, it's about evolving into the next level yourself. And that's probably the biggest lesson I've learned in running a business." — Donnie BoivinGet your free training video by texting “I am a success champion“ to Donnie at 817-318-6030

In this episode, Jennie and McKinley discuss:
An essential companion for business
Technology should be easy
Gamifying to create habits
Connecting to your team
Key Takeaways:
Technology has been business leaders’ constant companion, it’s a great tool for training and communications. Growing your business will mean that you embrace growing technologies.
New technology shouldn’t have to require a Ph.D. to operate, it has to be approachable and easily operable for it to be effective.
Gamifying difficult or repetitive tasks is a good way to create and sustain good habits.
Being connected to your team, being present in their milestones, and following up on each new success is essential on growing your team and your business as a whole

In this episode, Jennie and Mark Victor discuss:
The story behind their written book about asking
Increasing your network of contacts
The effective way of asking
Supporting a cause through your business
Key Takeaways:
There is no harm in asking. Learning and practicing the art of asking can help you turn your dreams into reality.
To keep your network of contacts growing, you must first figure out what you want and who you're going to talk to, then visualize the story of showing your intention as well as your expectation of a positive response from them.
You have to ask yourself, ask others, and ask God. Asking yourself positive questions will yield positive results.
Support charities or social causes that are close to your heart. Giving back not only helps you grow your business, but it also touches the lives of others, inspiring them to do the same and make a difference.
"Everybody's got a destiny code from the minute you were born. Your job is to find it." – Mark Victor Hansen
About Mark Victor Hansen:
Along with business partner Jack Canfield, Hansen is best known for creating what Time magazine called “the publishing phenomenon of the decade”. Chicken Soup for the Soul books is one of the most successful publishing franchises in the world today, with more than 500 million books sold internationally and more than 100 licensed products. The name “Chicken Soup” was chosen because of the use of chicken soup as a home remedy for the sick. The first Chicken Soup book, published by Health Communications, Inc., sold more than 2 million copies. There are now over 500 million copies in print and in 54 languages worldwide.
In 2004 Hansen was inducted into the Sales & Marketing Executive International’s Hall of Fame, receiving the Ambassador of Free Enterprise award. He also received the 2004 Visionary Philanthropist for Youth Award by Covenant House of CA.
In 2002 The University of Toledo presented Hansen with an Honorary Ph.D. in Business Administration and established the Mark Victor Hansen Entrepreneurial Excellence Fund that will help shape the minds of future business leaders and assist in the development of the faculty who will teach them.
In 2000 The Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans honored Hansen with the
prestigious Horatio Alger Award as an American leader who personifies the virtues and principles inherent in the success stories written by nineteenth-century American author Horatio Alger Jr.
In 2000 Northwood University honored Hansen as the Outstanding Business Leader of the Year. Seeing the desire on everyone’s bucket list to write a book and their profound destiny to help, Crystal and Mark created a publishing company called: markvictorhansenlibrary.com
Mark and his wife, Crystal Dwyer Hansen, have recently co-written their newest book called, ASK! The Bridge from Your Dreams to Your Destiny.

About Luisa Cunha: She is a therapist and she specializes in Aromatherapy. She gives training with Aromatherapy for all women who want to find their physical, emotional, and spiritual balance through essential oils. In this episode, Jennie and Luisa discuss:
Developing new skills by learning from others
All businesses have bad days
What to do when you feel like giving up
Business that transcends just you
Key Takeaways:
Learn from other entrepreneurs, get out of your comfort zone and expose yourself to, practice, and learn one of people’s top fears: public speaking.
All businesses have bad days. It’s important to keep going, keep your focus, and be positive, especially on those days. Know that those days give us perspective and build strength.
When you feel like giving up, take some time for self-care. Drink some wine, take a bath, and relax. Talk about it tomorrow.
We have to keep going if we want to help people more. If we go out of business, there’s a bunch of people that are not going to get the help that we’re going to provide.
"We can grow as entrepreneurs, we win and we give to others too. It’s a giver’s game." — Luisa Cunha
