Jonas Zschenderlein has returned to Australia and has finally made his live debut in Bach’s Universe! Following the incredible reception he received in Melbourne, Jonas has taken the time to chat with host Hugh Ronzani, accompanied by a very important guest: Yoko Tanaka-Zschenderlein. Join us as the talented couple talk about some recent collaborations, and the point where—in Frankfurt at least—the Baroque meets the contemporary.
Samuel Mariño is quickly winning over Australian audiences in his debut series down under, The Soprano. Generous as he has already been both on and off the stage, Samuel joins host Hugh Ronzani to tell us more about who he is, the music and musicians that inspire him, and some of the fabulous arias from the program and his latest album, Sopranista.
After almost six years since his last visit, pre-eminent Baroque violinist Shunske Sato is back in Australia! Following a very successful Sydney 6-concert run, Shunske has joined Hugh Ronzani for a new episode of Baroque Now to discuss the ins and outs of his craft, how violinists can overcome Johann Sebastian Bach's often-feared Sonatas and Partitas, his favourite moments from St Matthew Passion, The Romantics, and The Bachs.
Recipient of the Brandenburg's Young Mentorship Program, fine young violinist James Armstrong joins Hugh Ronzani for Baroque Now, online, to discuss the exciting projects and concerts he has been involved in since his last year of high school, and his recent Austrian musical experiences culminating with the Vienna Philharmonic Ball.
For this captivating episode of Baroque Now, the Brandenburg's Hugh Ronzani is in conversation with a rising star of the Baroque music world, Jonas Zschenderlein. Join them to learn more about Jonas' own musical journey so far and some of his greatest inspirations: Corelli, Westhoff, and Bach. All Recording & Editing by Hugh Ronzani, 2021
