Some articles classify Millennials as the burnout generation. A study conducted by Pew Research Center stated that in 2020, millennials' mental health was coated in depression and deaths of despair as both illnesses rose among the generation and was linked to loneliness and money stress.
In this episode Mrs. Tashi-Ann Burgess Smith explained what is mental health and the various types of mental illnesses, the stereotypes associated with mental health and generational responses to mental health and we also discussed ways in which Millennials can cope with, manage and monitor their mental wellbeing.
If you or anyone you know is experiencing a form of mental illness, you may contact the Ministry of Health and Suicide Prevention Helpline at 888 NEW LIFE (639-5433). You are not alone, reach out to someone for help today.

Saweetie said it first - That my best friend, she a real bad b!!!!, Got her own money, she 'on't need no !!!' Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are. There is no truer statement. Those individuals we surround ourselves with are a representation of us in some way, shape or form. Maybe an alter ego, maybe you're living vicariously through others or maybe they are the better half of you. Today we explore the levels of friendship i.e. acquaintances to intimate friendships! Stay for the fun as we explore this topic in more depth! (I'm still dancing to the Saweetie song)

Pop culture got me twisted this week. There were too many sweet treats to talk about. Rihanna got dubbed a Billionaire, the second female entertainer behind Oprah Winfrey; the Olympics was not just a show of athletic talent but it revealed a lot more *wink* Hellooo men! The Bachelorette, Katie went ham on Gregg and Aunt Lindsay left a sour taste in our mouths.  No cap, it was a bit much, bruh! But I loved it!

Bruh!! This is a sole sesh! I reminisced on my 20's and listed a few things I wish I knew or did during that decade. These are just the tip of the iceberg and will be followed up with a new episode in a few weeks. But it was such a lighthearted topic and I believe you will be able to relate as it really was about self love. Treating yourself with greater respect, experiencing life outside of your bubble, becoming more culturized and edified by new experiences. It was a whole lotta affirmations in this chat sesh and I hope you will enjoy it!

Stephanie is back on the couch talking about Millennial dating. In Part II of our discussion she was able to truly give some insightful bits about dating, humourously navigated the topic of setting standards for those your choose to date, encouraging men and women to ask the right question when pursuing a mate without being overbearing or interrogative and she provided good banter and I appreciated her candor.

Hey Friends! In this episode of "What's good, bruh?", the podcast, we explore the topic of women in their 30's who are career oriented and childless. The pressures imposed on young, vivacious, ambitious 30+ women to bear children, settle down and get married before being considered outside the bubble of attractiveness and compatibility.   Immigrant Travel Nurse, Sueann Brown weighs in on this topic in a lively and heartfelt discussion with host Roxi Lew in this first episode.
