Trans-Siberian Orchestra came out of nowhere in 1996 with a song called 'Christmas Eve, Sarajevo, 12-24'. And it just sounded so different than any other Christmas song at the time. The band was formed by Paul O'Neill, a composer, lyricist, producer and guitar player who literally did everything in the music business, everything from producing albums from Aerosmith to promoting tours for Madonna.
