David Woods is a 59, divorced, man living in YUMA, Arizona. His Bi-Polar exploded when he was 33, at the suicide of his only brother (he was 36). David's baby sister died by suicide at age 16, when he was 20. His mother, who raised five kids, after his father was killed in NAM, was shortly after his death diagnosed Paranoid Schizophrenic. Jeff Brown was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in college at 21. The diagnosis made so much sense that he chose to live “out” as bipolar. Jeff had the full range of madness and brilliance and he has seen life at the peaks and depths of this condition. From Rachel's bio: After spending years dealing with depression and mania caused my bipolar disorder I finally got on the right treatment plan and for the first time in my adult life had the chance to become happy. Over the course of just 3 years I have retrained my brain to go from being depressed to being extremely happy. Becoming happier has also contributed to me living a nearly perfect life with great family, friends, and my dream job defining it. Nothing in this book is just generic advice.
