The EncroachmentIn last week’s episode, The Boundary, we explored what happens when a single man steps too close to the hidden world of Bigfoot. This week, we flip the perspective.“The Encroachment” is a chilling story about what happens when we’re the ones crossing the line—pushing deeper into the wilderness, clearing the land, and forcing ancient inhabitants farther and farther back into the shadows. When a new development rises on the edge of a place locals simply called The Big Woods, strange things begin happening:tools vanish… fences splinter… playgrounds collapse… and terrified homeowners start catching glimpses of something huge watching from the treeline. What begins as simple urban expansion turns into a collision of worlds—one fueled by confusion, anger, and a creature trying to understand the destruction of the only home it has ever known. If The Boundary was about protecting a line, this episode is about losing an entire world.Settle in for an eerie, mysterious, and unforgettable chapter of Bigfoot’s Wilderness.www.bigfootswilderness.com
The Boundary That thin line where fear, pride, and the unknown all collide. Charlie may have walked away with his life… but out there in the deep woods, some boundaries are never really erased. They wait. And they remember.”www.bigfootswilderness.com

Fear on the RidgeDusk settles over a narrow spine of mountain as routine turns uneasy. First it’s the rhythm—two knocks, then one—drifting through the trees. Then a faint, sour-earth smell on the wind. A treeline silhouette appears, then vanishes, replaced by heavy stillness and the sense that you’re being paralleled just out of sight. In Fear on the Ridge, we let the mystery breathe: subtle sign, careful observation, and the unnerving awareness that something clever knows the terrain better than we do. No big reveals—only a tightening spiral of sounds, impressions, and choices that say as much about us as about what’s out there. Settle in, turn the lights low, and listen for the spaces between the sounds.* Note- The following scenes are dramatized based on witness testimony and historical context. The events — prints, casts, and newspaper publication — are factual.
The Crossing The road was the kind of lonely that felt personal.Arkansas Route 178 cut through a stretch of forest at the base of the Ozarks, a snake-shaped ribbon of cracked pavement winding into dense dark. www.bigfootswilderness.com

The Watchers on the RidgeFour longtime friends head into the Cascade Mountains for a weekend of camping and camaraderie, hoping to shake off the weight of middle age with a little bourbon and backwoods adventure. But when the forest suddenly falls silent and stones begin to roll down from the ridge above, their laughter fades into dread. Something massive and intelligent lurks just beyond the firelight — throwing rocks with precision, growling deep enough to shake the ground, and revealing glowing amber eyes that burn through the mist. What follows is a night of chaos and terror as the men realize they’ve crossed into something’s territory — something ancient that’s been watching them all along. The Watcher on the Ridge is a chilling tale about the primal fear of the wilderness, where silence isn’t peace but awareness, and where some things in the dark still remember before we ever set foot there.www.bigfootswilderness.com

The Last Case of Detective Cole. Jacob Cole was only ten, but he had already made up his mind about his future: he was going to be the world’s greatest detective, just like his dad—and, of course, like Batman. Every evening after dinner, he curled up in the corner of their small, log-walled living room with a detective comic in one hand and a notepad in the other. The next story on this episode is called Rosalyn's Revenge. Enjoy...
.Echoes in the DarkA Bigfoot Encounter StoryThe Campfire’s EmbraceThe fire crackled and popped. Logs shifted with hollow groans, collapsing inward as flames licked at their sides. The glow painted the trunks of nearby trees in hues of gold and crimson, while beyond that small circle of light stretched an ocean of darkness. The forest was alive. A rustle of leaves whispered overhead, carried by a cool breeze. Every so often, an owl hooted far off, its call bouncing from unseen perches. It was a place where mystery thrived, where imagination could run unchecked.Thomas sat on a folding chair by the fire, hands resting on his knees, watching the flames like a man hypnotized. His son, Luke, refused to sit still. At eight years old, the boy overflowed with boundless energy, a bundle of excitement, fear, and curiosity all tied up in one wiry frame.
Brian was a young man who had always been drawn to the wild. From the time he was a boy wandering the shaded trails of the Adirondacks and Allegheny Mountains, he had felt something stirring in the silence of the trees. There was peace in those forests—the chirping of warblers, the rustle of leaves, the hidden creeks whispering under mossy stones—but also something deeper, something more elusive, a call that seemed to rise out of the land itself. It was more than adventure he was seeking. It was a truth hidden beneath bark and soil, a secret that waited at the edges of every trail.Check out Bigfootswilderness.com as I have recently re-launched the site. Also, I'm writing a book. More to come.
Each night as dusk fell, the small cabin nestled deep in Deadroot Forest glowed warmly from within. It stood alone, hugged by tall, gnarled trees and blanketed in the soft hush of pine needles. Wind whistled through the branches like whispers in an empty cathedral, but the forest was never truly silent—not anymore.
The day-to-day grind and the fact that I lived in a big city at times almost felt claustrophobic. Coming home, although only a few hours southwest, was always a welcome relief. I grew up in horse country. We always had horses, and the feeling of being able to get out on a trail and feel the wind on my face was the perfect way to decompress. I might go from a slow walk to a light trot or canter depending on the terrain. There’s nothing like it. On this day, the gentle rolling hills led to an open meadow and finally over to some dense forests. The horse, Bella, was well-trained and gentle, a good match for my skill level at that time...
The thunderstorm rolled in faster than I had expected. One moment, I the trail was silent except for the rhythmic sound of my boots hitting the damp ground. The next, a wall of rain swept through the trees with a roar, and the sky cracked open with lightning. I made it to the shelter just in time—barely enough room for me, my soaked pack, and the gathering shadows of dusk. The wind howled through the gaps in the rough-hewn logs, and thunder rattled the boards beneath me. I was cold, wet, and grateful. And I had the perfect thing to pass the time. From the side pocket of my pack, I pulled out a dog-eared journal that my brother back home had had for left me. It was a handwritten note along with the journal that had been tucked inside and it read : “Read this on a rainy night. Trust me.”
