On this episode of Blue Ink Talk, we had the privilege of speaking with Linda Blue, Owner and Broker of Linda Blue Real Estate LLC. She tells us about her journey into becoming a realtor then eventually a broker, and how she uses her past experiences and knowledge to educate and advocate for her agents. Fun episode and happy to have a fellow Madison business owner as our guest.
On this episode with speak with Kurtis Krueger, the new CEO of the Huntsville Area Association of Realtors (HAAR) and Valley MLS, and Sean Magers, the Sr Director of HAAR Operations Communications & Government Affairs. They tell us about HAAR and Valley MLS and how both realtors and affiliates can get involved.
On this month's episode of Blue Ink Talk, we had the privilege of speaking with our good friend, Adreanne Humphrey, the Marketing Director with Two Men and a Truck. First, Katherine tells us about all the local community updates in "Hey Y'all". Then we talk with Adreanne all about Two Men and a Truck - what they do, other than just moving people from place to place, and her role as Marketing Director. Finally, Adreanne took some time to tell us about an important community event: Movers for Moms, a wonderful program that aims to recognize and support moms living in shelters during Mother's Day. Victims of domestic abuse or homelessness receive small gifts, bringing comfort and joy to their lives.

On the first episode of Blue Ink Talk for 2024, we decided to do a special episode to discuss our tour of the new Federal Courthouse being build in downtown Huntsville. The beautiful building inspired by the architecture found on the streets of Washington D.C. is going to be a great addition to the city. We were happy for the opportunity to go on the tour. Special thanks to the NALCOM Rookies for hosting the event!
Our final episode of the year! Excited to present Episode 12 of Blue Ink Talk - the last episode of 2023. On this episode we get to speak with Brandi Kelly, Senior Commercial and Industrial Specialist with Huntsville Utilities. She discusses winter weather preparation tips, just in time for the cold front coming in to town. She also explains more about how Huntsville Utilities services the entire Madison County/North Alabama area and the hard work that goes into maintaining our utilities every day of the year.
On this episode, we spoke with Michelle Epling, the President and CEO of the Madison City Chamber of Commerce. As someone who is familiar with area's developments and current events, Michelle was kind enough to join the team for our Hey Y'all segment. Later in the episode she talks about the Chamber of Commerce, its mission and purpose, and also how members of the community can become involved with the Madison City Chamber.
On this month's episode we decided to have a little fun and also test our knowledge. Katherine gives us some community updates in her "Hey Y'all" segment, then puts on her Game Show Host hat to quiz Emily and Hayes on topics related to title insurance and beyond. On this month's episode, we had the opportunity to speak with Dustin Taylor, broker with Taylor Properties, about commercial real estate. Dustin gave us a great summary of the different ways he calculates the value of various types of commercial properties. He also shared some insight into how he approaches a new client that might be looking into investing in commercial property in the Huntsville/Madison area.
This month we had the pleasure of speaking with Dawn Pumpelly, Editor and Owner of The Scout Guide Huntsville. The Scout Guide is a city guide dedicated to supporting local businesses in Huntsville. Dawn provided great information about her motivation behind creating The Scout Guide here and how it helps not only local businesses but also consumers in the area. On this month's episode of Blue Ink Talk, we invited our friend and fellow Real Estate Attorney and Title Agent, Joel Jaqubino, to come talk a little title insurance with us. Joel is the owner of Bold Title, LLC in Huntsville, AL. We discuss reasons that a homebuyer needs title insurance. We also let Joel tell us about one of his hobbies, Muay Thai.
